- Our main Woodcraft shop is in a basement with no windows, that's where they keep me most of the time. So when I was given the opportunity to use the new Festool Portable Tablesaw, I took the chance to get outside. I decided a birdhouse was complicated enough to keep me away from the office for awhile but simple enough to not have to lug a ton of stuff across the parking lot. I packed up the Festool tablesaw on the little stand/cart, a drill set with some bits ands screws, and the Festool tote with my other necessities; water bottle, glue, clamps, square, tape measure, pencils, plans, and snacks. I made Chase lug all the heavy camera equipment.

Best assignment ever
I hope Milwaukee comes out with a Packout compatible competitor. I'm pretty deep in their system, and I love their track-saw and router. This table-saw has me looking over the fence at Festool though. A sliding benchtop table-saw is such a cool idea by itself, but the other features of it make it one of the most interesting and innovative table-saws I've seen in a long while. I feel indifferent about the digital blade angle, but the sliding table and systainer features are just plain cool.
Please consider using a push stick.
Thanks Tim, I did not feel the need to use a push stick on THESE cuts. I do use a push stick when needed. Absolutely use a push stick if you are in any way uncomfortable or making smaller cuts.
Festool happened to have all demo tools sent directly to me for proper cleaning. I'll send you my address, no need to contact festool I won't lie to you.😊
Why would you send it back?
They sent it to us to try out.
Facemask, Sawdust Bag, and you .. BRO’ your OUTDOORS !
(Seriously your missing a belt and suspenders to wear at the same time).
Who cares?
