I love that she chose pieces that felt right to her (even if they aren’t on trend). Her use of bold colors and patterns seems so on brand for her. I love how she has so many memories around her home and family inherited pieces - I bet her relatives would be so happy to know she cherishes those pieces.
I don’t generally care for a lot of bright colors, but she has used them with so much refinement that her home is just charming as is she. This truly is a family home, filled with love and joy!

My goodness, extremely lovely in every way. One of my favorite spots was the narrow hallway with framed art, photographs, needlepoint, crewel work. Why haven't I ever displayed my things that I love but sit in the basement in boxes. Thanks so much for the inspiration you have given me. Truly a gracious home.
Rebecca is very articulate and shows her home beautifully! She has many memories and vignettes but surprisingly her home doesn’t seen busy. I thoroughly enjoyed her tour and thank her for taking the time to present it to us. She uses color well. I love the chairs in the kitchen. Thank you, Rebecca!
I love how warm and happy this home feels. I think this woman must be a terrific wife and mother, as well as a talented designer. What a lovely place for her sons to grow up in.
This tour was so much fun. I feel as though l know our hostess. What strikes me is the amount of thought and detail that has gone into each room. Every area has its own personality and color scheme. There is not a dull moment and the warmth of her personality and her deep rooted appreciation of her family is at the heart of the beauty that seems to emanate throughout the house.

Love this! Unique yet traditional. I believe that would describe our home as well. I'm so happy to see homes with actual rooms. Open space design is not for me. I love how each room can have its own surprise personality. ❤

I love how she describes what a home is. The things we love should be in our homes is exactly how I feel. Her love of pattern and color speaks to my heart. Love her foyer wallpaper! I love color and traditional design. And I feel often like the odd woman out when I see so many neutral spaces. Which personally bore me to tears. Thank you for being true to who you are! At 75 years young I have embraced color in our recent move to Boston. Pale yellow walls and colorful art, sculpture and finds from trips. I like your warm personal touch. Your home is lovely
I live in NC and I could relate so well to her spirit and soul. I backed the video up when she was talking about her brother’s “chin strap”. I knew instantly that he had passed away. I could tell by the tone of her voice and the sadness that she feels. God bless you! You are a true homemaker in every sense of the word.
Exactly, same here - it was very perceivable, her tone and demeanour were very sweet delicate and her emotion so modest, I was so moved 😢 love her house, love her accent and how she says « you all » - so cute(I’m a French southerner 😊) love the Staffordshire dogs, such a pretty house and lovely lady !

Beautiful family home. The use of color is perfection. She has the prettiest wallpapers and decor. Nothing boring and neutral about this house. Loved that she had to have a great stove and doesn’t cook much! That’s me too! She actually has family pics, kids artwork, furniture handed down from family and artwork! I also love how she showed off her Dollar Tree glasses. I will be rewatching this video.

The hostess is an absolute delight to listen to, and her home so authentically reflects her love for family. I love her style of decorating, combining different patterns and colors. I love Staffordshire dogs and have two in my living room. I love anything oriental and love how she has incorporated that into her home as well. In a home full of males, it amazing that she gets away with the pink. Love it! 💗💗💗
I’m just a stone’s throw away in Fort Mill. The home is absolutely beautiful in every way; especially the Staffordshire dogs which I too love and incorporate in my furnishings. Her use of family treasures makes a “house a home.” “Bravo Rebecca!”❤❤❤

There is nothing not to like about this lady and her delightful home. I am also a terrible cook in a family of wonderful cooks. Everyone always made fun of the fact that I wrecked everything I tried to cook at the holidays, until my mom yelled out one time "Well, she got all the brains in the family so she doesn't need to be a good cook too!" I really appreciated that, because no one ever made fun of my cooking again ;)
Love the Staffordshire dogs. I don't know whether you know what their background is, but I will tell you anyway. In the Netherlands we call them "hoerenhondjes", which translates into whores dogs. They were sold by prostitutes in England to sailors. As prositution was illegal, they pretended to sell these dogs to their customers. And if they were facing outside she was free to receive, if they were facing inside she was busy.
The wives of the sailors did not know where the dogs came from and usually put them in a prominent place. Up on a dresser or something like that. And usually flanking the family Bible. I have them as well, because I love the story and that my deeply religious great-grandmother had them as well. Had she known... Just too funny!

Storied, joyful and refreshing is how I would describe your lovely home. This type of style cannot be purchased but must be carefully accumulated over time then enjoyed and preserved for generations to come. Thank you for the tour-love the pink and the puppies!
Please frame your puzzles….I have all of my kids from 40 years ago…..just modpodge it onto some poster board and get frames from yard sales or goodwill…..you are such a LUCKY girl to travel so much!!! The orange bedroom is gorgeous and I do love the pink in your home too!!
I just jumped and exclaimed when I saw the lamps on the wall in your kitchen. I have had ONE just like it for decades, which I used as a piano lamp for years. Decided to pass it along to a consignment shop about a year ago, because (at that time) I decided it looked dated. About two weeks after delivering it, the owner called me to say, ‘I think you may want to reconsider selling it, at least here.’ She had done research to help decide how to price it and discovered one in Florida (I’m in small town Southern Oregon) that was priced VERY HIGH. She suggest I sell it on ebay or contact the dealer in FL. I decided to keep it- now trying to figure out how to post a photo of it on this post. It may show up on a separate comment! I love your creative way to make your lamps pop in the kitchen !

WOW! I went to high school in Coronado & spent many great times at the Del. Imagine my surprise when I saw your painting! I also have 3 pair of antique Staffordshire dogs plus some miniatures. I am Canadien and I am very familiar with New England style. Since I discovered Southern style through Hometown on HGTV, I adore this style. I can’t point out the distincts difference between these two styles but I think southern has earthy color, dark wood piece, a lot more texture, and lamps …generally warmer.
New England is anywhere you have colonial furnishings very warm south or north it’s not a climate weather doesn’t matter

I've always thought that I don't like a lot of color in my home, but after seeing the amazing and inventive ways Rebecca uses it
in her gorgeous home, I realize it's only because I've never learned to use it properly. I also always thought that using so many
colors and patterns would look busy and chaotic, but not so in this home. It's just beautiful and inviting, and maybe one of my
favorite interiors of all time. How I wish I could have her come to Arizona and work her magic in my home!

I really enjoyed the tour of this beautiful home, as our hostess states, a mixture of tradition, color and whimsical. Love her style and what she's all about.
I also love the colour in this home and also the way the designer and homeowner incorporates very traditional furniture into a livable family home -- but I was extra interested to find I have the exact same Japanese bunka embroidery of the two pheasants as she has in her mud-room (see 36:24). Mine is in my laundry room to remind me of the value of textiles and to respect them. I inherited it from my aunt (I'm also due to inherit a Staffordshire dog from my father), but I don't know anything else about it, but it seems Ms. Bridges may have likewise inherited hers without much backstory.
This home is beautiful. The pops of color are so refreshing. I might even line the back of the tv built in with the bright pink she used in the bar room. The eye would love looking from the den through to the bar room and seeing the flow of the same color. Great home tour.

I absolutely love this channel. I try to watch 2-3 different homes a day. This one was super special as before she mentioned the art, I noticed right away the Hotel Del Coronado and the map of Torrey Pines. I grew up in San Diego and married in the First Christ Church in Coronado, it was built in 1888 and is breathtaking. ❤
