7 Days in a Controversial Cabin With NO PRIVACY

- I'd just disembarked a cruise where I stayed in a budget balcony cabin that didn't face the ocean. Was it worth the saving? In this video I'll share all!
Normally if you take a cruise in a balcony cabin you can expect your own little private place where you can see out but nobody can see you. That isn’t what happened on my last cruise though because I booked a balcony cabin that faced inside the ship, directly at other cabins.
This type of room is one of the most controversial and it certainly took some getting used to, there were pros and a few cons that I hadn’t thought about pre-cruise and I saw and felt, some interesting things from up here.
There are plenty of reviews and videos that warn people not to stay in this type of cabin but when I saw this video I knew I had to book one to try it for myself.
I love quirky cabins! Check out these next:

A couple of months before this I took a cruise on a very similar ship owned by Royal Caribbean. Our promenade balcony cabin had no clear view of the ocean and we had a couple of issues with noise, soot and general privacy. It looked as though the MSC cabin might be better in a few ways, or so I hoped.
When I cruise I usually book what is called a Guaranteed cabin where you don’t pick the specific cabin location but I knew exactly what cabin I wanted so I did pay slightly extra to book this room. I wanted a cabin towards the back as it looked like we would have a good ocean view as well as a view of the promenade but I hoped that we wouldn’t feel too much engine movement from there as that’s often a problem with aft cabins.
I noticed from the deck plans that the cabin was a different shape to normal, normally they are long and thin and this was more square but I didn’t mind that, it looked spacious enough and the balcony shape looked interesting.

For the record, inside facing balconies would be PERFECT for die hard people watchers.
Hi Emma! What ship is this please?
I would like to know how wheelchair accessible most of the attractions were
Lovely video.! Well organized and great delivery, one of the best. The ship looked very interesting with the lighting decor, etc. The cruise ship industry has gotten so many black eyes in the US, I gave up and agreed with my wife, which is fly to a nice warm holiday location.
UA-cam recommended me this video 🎉
Pausing at 2:08 to wonder if anyone else thinks the interiors of cruise ships look a lot like 1980s shopping malls. 😄
My in-laws would LOVE this cabin. They love sitting somewhere comfortable and people-watching. Whenever we go out somewhere with a lot of people, they're happy to sit and watch while we do other things and come back now and then to check on them.
Ha ha, perfect! 😀
I have family that is the same. They would sit there and switch between reading, people watching, and sharing snacks with visitors
Emma I believe the reason you didn’t have an issue with soot on your cruise balcony is because they use LNG fuel for that ship instead of heavy fuel oil or diesel fuel, it is the diesel fuel that produces much more soot, LNG fuel is better for the environment but also makes it a much more enjoyable cruising experience
Yesss you are so right! 💕💕
That sucks, I pay extra just to see coal powered diesel engine spew out its radioactive particles of hatred, gives a good feeling if I am honest.
Each time I see one of your videos, I think : Why does Emma keeps taking cabins with no privacy? That’s like the opposite everyone wants 😂. That’s actually pretty cool that you do that, and you even manage to bring that content in the best videos of the entire cruiseTubing market. Hats off !
Ha ha, exactly for this video 🤣❤️
Right lol only for our entertainment duh lol
She makes a point of cruising on a budget - so I'm guessing that's why she often ends up in odd cabin types.
@@incurableromantic4006 my cruises will be in the cheapest cabins possible.
@@incurableromantic4006Yes 😂
Huh. I’ve never been on a cruise so maybe I’m missing something but I’ve been in hotel rooms with balconies that face inwards like this and I really enjoy it. It’s fun seeing other people and the stuff they hang up on the balcony haha.
Yes!! Exactly!! 🤣👏🏼
Same here, I'm from the country and when I visit the city you often can see multiple apartment towers where the outside rooms have balconies. I think the term "people watching" matches this activity 😅 On my last cruise we spoke with our neighbours if we were both on the balcony. You couldn't see each other but obviously, your voice travels (even on the outside, sea-facing balconies). Not a good fit for privacy-focused people!
Noisy on ships
How funny, we have a similar expression in Sweden, directly translated "What you lose on the swings, you will gain on the roundabouts" (Swedish "Vad du förlorar på gungorna vinner du på karusellerna"). Meaning everything equals out in the end, just look at the whole picture and not only the details... :)
I love that!! 🙏🙏🙏
That's how I've always known the phrase here in Australia too.
Shortened to “swings and roundabouts “ in NZ
I always try to bring a roll of blue painter's tape (it might be a different color or called something else in the UK??) when traveling. Great for covering up weird lights, closing gaps in curtains, childproofing (like pulling cords out of reach), etc.
That is a good idea, love it. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
What are weird lights?
@@Kreemerz They're referring to the lights that look like glowing eyes at minute 9:01
also super bright smoke alarm led green light@@Kreemerz

I love your videos so much! Your style of telling about your cabins and ships moves quickly, so I feel I learn more than from most vloggers videos. You give us lots to consider when booking future cruises. In Canada we call the kid's ride a merry-go-round!! My grandmother was from Birmingham, so listening to you talk makes me feel her beside me. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks so much for watching and your kind words! I appreciate it 😀❤️
Britisism: The full saying is "What you gain on the swings you lose on the roundabouts" and it is applied to situations where there are some pluses, some minuses and overall no advantage or detriment.
It was popularised in a 1912 poem about a travelling fair where the owner says that trade is always varied but what money was lost on the swings was gained on the roundabouts.
I've never heard of this phrase before, but was compelled to pause the video and Google it to find what represented what ( FYI people, the swings are the pros/gains) . Anyway, I thought you might find this bit of trivia I found on the 'Interesting Literature' website, well, interesting.
There is an even earlier mention of this phrase, 6 years earlier, in Sir P.G. Whodehouse's "Love Among the Chickens", published in 1906. Where in Chapter 16, the protagonist Jerry Garnet, after realizing he had blown his chance with his love interest, ponders about needing to get back to writing his manuscript, and remarks:
🔹*'A man must go through the fire before he writes his manuscript. We learn in suffering what we teach in song. What we lose on the swings we make up on the roundabouts'* 🔹
You are correct though, the Charmers poem is what popularized the phrase.
In case someone is reading this and doesn't have time to Google the Charmers' poem mentioned by the op, he uses the phrase in a few times, here's the last one of the poem:
🔸For 'up an' down, and round, said e' goes all appointed things,
*'An losses on the roundabouts means profits on the swings!* 🔸
\(◎o◎)/ Who knew!?
:)
Six of one, half a dozen of the other😉
My grandpa couldn’t deal with ANY light in his room when traveling. He always traveled with a roll of black electrical tape to cover the little electrical device lights. I’m not that intense but I do travel with a spare hair clip to secure the curtains in case there’s a big gap in the middle!
Thats a great time! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
I'm the same way and if I forget a clip I hope there are those hangers with the pants clips available.
My husband and I went on a honeymoon cruise on World Europa in October. We had a balcony cabin and it was wonderful. I recommend the cruise line and the cruise itself. 👍🏻
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
I think I'd be okay with an inside balcony as long as it had that great sea view your balcony had. Very weird bathroom door, especially for someone who may not have a lot of hand strength/dexterity. And I guess the buttons on the light switch are lit so you can find them in the dark with less fumbling? All in all looks like a pretty nice cabin.
I will never be able to afford a cruise though I have dreamed of it since I was little. I love living vicariously through this channel and it’s totally wholesome content. Thank you!
Me too, a cruise is way outside my budget!
Me too, but my lucky day came about, my aunt is taking me with her on a cruise! I never thought this would ever happen in my life! I hope you get to go someday!
@@Ktubey how fabulous! Have a wonderful time xx
If you bring a little gaffers tape you can cover any led light easily because it’s like a cloth version of masking tape. It’s removable & leaves no residue & same piece can be used over & over. It’s a cinema trick
I use insulation tape inside of gaffers tape as I find it easier to remove.
I always look forward to your videos because it's so fascinating to see what cruising is like on various ships and sailing to an assortment of locations. I've never sailed on a ship before. Maybe after I've done my transatlantic crossing on QM2, I'll consider booking a cruise to Belgium or something...maybe a river cruise! Thanks for the videos Emma!
Awwh thanks Alex!! ❤️❤️❤️
Great review as always! I don't cruise often, but I enjoy watching your reviews to see all the different types of ships and cabins. Happy New Year!
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
I love your videos. You really break things down, and it's fun to watch your experiences on different cruises. Congrats on 300k subs!
I got into one of these rooms for a look when I was onboard last year, and would say that the section you were booked in is probably the best. If you book the cabins further up this section of the ship, it must be so difficult to see the ocean, but you're looking straight out!
I do think these rooms seem a little smaller to a regular balcony cabin, but I really like them!
I’m embarking on the World Europa next week, so it was great to get a little peek at what to expect from your review. Thanks for sharing 😊
This reminds me of Freemont St in Vegas, but on a boat floating to foreign cities. Looks amazing! 👏
Thanks so much for your cruising videos Emma! We recently disembarked our first ever cruise (Caribbean with MSC Seascape) and it was honestly just the best experience ever - the staff, facilities, ports of call - everything! Currently looking at more cruises for 2024 👀🤞🏼 I was so uninterested in cruising until I found your videos Emma… thanks for influencing us on such a fantastic decision! 😄
Yay!! So glad to hear that you enjoyed it 😀💘
@9:0 I can totally relate with your paper over the light! I put pieces of tape or paper over all little lights on my things at home, i can’t stand those little glowing bright lights!
No interest in cruise ships, never been, don't plan to go, but I found your video interesting and informative and worth watching all the way through. Well done young lady.
Thank you! 😁❤️
Seeing ships like this is so interesting to someone who has only been on the German TUI cruises but always seeing those ships next to us! Thanks for the insight and I’m quite happy for our smaller and more private ships hahaha
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Another great video, Emma! Thank you and happy new year!
Thank you! 😁❤️ To you too! 😁❤️
Thank you for the vid. Thank you for not just filming yourself the whole time and actually giving a good feel for what was going on. Got you a sub.
And btw, that blue dress with polka dots, very lovely.
Thank you! 😁❤️
Thank you for this video. I'm booked for the similar cabin on deck 11 in January and I cannot wait!
Very interesting and enjoyable, thank you Emma. I have to say it looked like a floating shopping centre!
This ship looks so nice! Hope i can cruise on it one day. I love your msc reviews! Hope you and captain Hudson had a great holiday 😊
Thank you! 😁❤️
Thanks for another great video, Emma! My posh Hudson arrived yesterday. The triplets look great together! We need an excursion Hudson so we have someone to take hiking with us.
Yay!!!! So glad to hear it. Thank you! 😁❤️
Instead of "swings and roundabouts", many Americans would say "it's six of one, half dozen the other", meaning it's all the same and it all works out in the end.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EMMA! Hope you had a great holiday season and wonderful relaxing fun time 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️
Thanks so mucchhhhhh! To you too! 😁❤
@@EmmaCruises of course 😍😍😍
I really like your videos Emma. Good information, helpful video, nice delivery!
Thanks so much 🥹❤️
This is exactly the kind of cabin and cruise I want. I don't understand why so many people dislike MSC!
Yesss 😁🙌
I've looked at reviews and people have cited rude staff, lousy food, and disorganization. The reviews are so bad I don't want to risk it.
I’ve never seen anything positive about MSC so will not try it.
The bad reviews are mostly coming from americans which are used to a different kind of service. The staff on european lines is different, they aren't rude, it's just a cultural thing. I've done two cruises with MSC and found them perfectly fine, not mind blowing but an overall good experience, especially considering the price. If you are very particular about the type of service and attention you want i'd advise against it though.
@@alex9621 I agree from what I’ve read. It probably is a cultural difference. I usually don’t mind that so should go and judge for myself
I always love seeing the ways you get rid of light in your cabin! Before I met my partner who is like you, I could fall asleep with the overhead light on in the room lol!!
Partner is a very vague word. What are you hiding?
Ooo this has got me excited for my first MSC cruise later in the year. Funny isn't it, silent discos are never silent 😂
Yassssss I’m so excited to see you do this!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thank you for taking the time to make these videos, I love them. Now, how do I get my hands on the adorable Captain Hudson?😊
I always love seeing a ship with something cool that I never would have thought of. So the switches for the light outside the stateroom for “do not disturb” and all the others? Mind blowing. Such a neat technology! #longlivesootyandsweep
Yesss!!! I imagine sweep would keep pressing that while sooty was inside 🤣🤣
@@EmmaCruises that naughty little sweep!
Hi Emma! I sailed on the Independence of the Seas in December and had an inside promenade cabin. The cabin was bigger than the usual inside cabin, and the noise level was pretty low. I was one deck above the Promenade deck across from Ale and Anchor Bar. But you are right, the curtains were closed most of the time.
I'm looking at a similar itinerary on World Europa (though not in a balcony- I'm very much in the Inside Cabin team), and it's great to get a sneak peak of it 😊 Can't wait for your next video!
(PS. Sooty and Sweep! 😆)
Ha ha, have a great time!! The cabins are so similar :)
This is exactly like one of the apartments I lived in. The building curved inward like a C shape and you saw everyone else’s balconies. It was completely fine, no issues, I quite enjoyed being able to people watch. I would actually really like a cabin like this.
Loved this video. I've always liked Royal Caribbean. Once I booked a balcony cabin for my wife and I and my daughters had an inside Prominade balcony cabin. The girls LOVED IT! They loved people watching, we would watch the parades from their balcony (Made them feel special). But what they really loved was that the elevator was close to the room and the ice-cream machine was also close to the elevator lol. They told me a few years later that they made themselves sick from so much Ice-cream lol.
Thank you Emma for this video. For me, Royal Caribbean with the kids, Celebrity and Princess without the girls.
That view out the back is so cool!
It really was! Thank you! 😁❤️
Happy New Year! I quit watching your videos for a period of time due to my own lack of time, but I hope to be able to watch them again more often in the near future and go cruising sometime. I'm glad your channel is working well for you!
Ahoy there Emma! This ship has some of the technology improvements I saw on the MSC Virtuosa, eg the lights over the door, lifts called by destination deck and the glass shower door (not a curtain that never stays put!). On my sailing last October (from Southampton) everyone boarded at the same time, but I see for other sailings passengers join & alight at every port. I do look forwards to seeing your next video with more about the ship (and finding out in how many languages the announcements are given!)
I love it. Thank you! 😁❤️
well done Emma.. love this. cant wait for more
Sooty and sweep!! What a nostalgic reminder 😂
Ha ha! 🤣💘
We love your "down to earth - rather - water" reviews. Noted that there is now a conversion from "half 9" to half past 9. Kind'a liked the Brit quirks. 😊
Ha ha. Thank you! 😁❤️
Emma, you have some wonderful videos. You go on some interesting voyages. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe, warm, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Thanks so much 🥹❤️
My family and I stay in this type of room on all our Royal Caribbean cruises. Never had an issue. It lets us enjoy a balcony without having to pay the $$$ it costs for an oceanview one. It's also fun to people watch those walking through central park. It's not for everyone, I'm sure, but then those people can get an oceanview balcony (or no balcony at all - nothing wrong with that!).
Appreciate your work, Emma.
Thank you! 😁❤️
I think I'd prefer a more square room vs a long thin room. Never usually have a problem with the length of the room, but I'd definitely give up some of it to make the rooms a little wider. On some, even walking past the end of the bed requires a bit of "sucking in". Looks like a great room IMO and yeah, all that is needed is a simple sheer curtain and then during the day no one can see in, but you still get plenty of light.
Sounds good! 😁🥳
I've not watched every video on UA-cam, but I would guess the word "controversial" appears in your videos more than most. :) Seriously, I really enjoy your work. Thanks Emma!
Nice seeing the port at Valletta from the perspective of a cruise-goer. I've been there with my mate who moved there years ago, we usually go to the Hard Rock Cafe there. Those cruise ships are so huge
I sailed on Harmony of the seas a few weeks ago and stayed in a boardwalk balcony. I though it was great. I didn't mind the lack of privacy and really enjoyed people watching down below. We never had a soot problem either. Thats strange considering they burn diesel fuel. If you are looking for privacy, its probably not the room for you but if you enjoying feeling like you are part of the action without actually having to be part of the action, they are great rooms. I could hear the aquatheater show at night, but it wasn't loud and it never bothered my sleep. I'll likely book one again on my next cruise. But hey you can have a great time on a cruise or a crappy time, its all what you make of it. I had an amazing time.
I didas well. Our interior balcony overlooked the atrium. We were able to watch the live performances at night and people watch. Will book this type room again.
They don't burn diesel but bunker fuel which is a lot thicker. If the ship doesn't have scrubbers (like oasis class ships excluding wonder I think) soot will absolutely be a problem. It just depends on the wind direction whether it gets blown away or onto the ship itself
Thank you so much for sharing and I'm so happy they had curtains
Thank you! 😁❤️ Me too!!
We cause that a “merry go round” in the U.S. I bet the light show was nice, and it’s a beautiful ship, but I don’t think I could take 17-18 decks! Nice to have new condition, lots of sockets and USB ports, and love the top down safe. Sliding doors are not good for privacy or closing all the way, plus difficult for people with arthritis or shoulder problems. Looks like a great view! Smoking bar, ughhh. Like the buttons to showing if someone’s staying in the cabin or need it cleaned.
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Hey Emma! Another GREAT Video!!! Happy New Year!!!
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
@@EmmaCruises Wouldn't miss one!!! : )
We haven’t been on a cruise since 2018…this has inspired me to fix that.
I have never been on a cruise and on the rare occasions I watch videos like this it confirms my belief that a cruise would be my number one nightmare holiday. Each to their own but definitely not for me.
and why
I do love watching your new videos! It's still about 5 years until I go on my first cruise with my family but I'm going to be well prepared!
Thanks so much Chris. You'll love it!
I know what you mean.
Ok I did not expect someone’s cool aunt to have a UA-cam channel about cruising. Nice vibes.
What. ha ha.
The only movies I wouldn't expect on a ship would be Titanic and Captain Philips. 🙄 And that price list ( 10:10 ) was absolutely insane.🤪 You've already paid a fortune for the room so they should be a little above cost for heaven's sake. Thank goodness for the glass curtains so you can still have daylight and have privacy. Great review on this cruise 👍 thank you.
Rightly or wrongly we always avoided these ships because on one cruise they seemed to dock at the same ports just a little later than we did. We were resting on our balcony and watched as push chair after pushchair after pushchair left the MSC ship! They all seemed very happy and a little bit loud! Obviously their ship must have catered for all their needs. As we were then in our late 70s we preferred a quieter time!
I don't cruise frequently but love your videos. And I love the British-isms!
Thank you! 😁❤️
Great Video! I must have walked passed your balcony about 100 times while walking the Deck 8! Was a nice ship but too big for my taste. Anyway Great Video!👍
Congratz on 300k!
Thank you! 😁❤️
The sad broken brush in your bits and bobs drawer is SO relatable. Everybody’s been there, or will be eventually. Lol
Ha ha, it's not broken I cut the handle off it was taking up too much space!! 😂😂
Brilliant!
MSC was desperate to upgrade you out of that cabin because that extra £100 is pure profit for them. The resources they invest in cleaning your cabin and feeding you are the same regardless of the view you enjoy. Bonus if they can then turn around and sell that cabin to someone else who could never afford the one that you upgraded to.
I'm glad that you enjoyed your cruise, and thank you so much for sharing it with us! My wife will only ever cruise on Royal Caribbean, as she knows them well and feels that going with anyone else is rolling the dice (could be better, but might be worse), so I really enjoy watching your videos and seeing what the other cruise lines are like.
Congratulations for being able to keep your cool and point out both - the good and the bad - in a factual manner
I personally could not resist also adding the "Ugly". Cabins with balconies inside a ship are - in my humble mind - for voyeurs or exhibitionists. Others must feel embarrassed to have to make sure to come out of the bathroom in "proper attire" or be sure that the curtains are closed.
If you have no problems sleeping with closed doors and windows because of the noise - why pay for anything more than a cabin anywhere on the ship?
And thanks for pointing out that there are no "couches" that turn into beds - a standard feature on all the cruises I was.
Such a brilliant video thanks, MY first MSC cruise on the MSC Euribia in a few weeks.
Have the best time ever!!!! 😀❤️
I really like your videos and learn quite a lot from them
Thank you! 😁❤️
I love that video does a great job of reviewing quirky problems.
Thank you! 😁❤️
Dear google, yes I am binge watching Emma’s videos about cruises but no I would not like to be solely advertised to about booking one. I am watching because she has a lovely voice and it is enjoyable not because I am considering moving on to a cruise ship full time. Thanks, F
Nice video thanks Emma. We are booked on her for later this year. By the way, 'Swings and roundabouts' was coined by Irish writer Patrick Reginald Chalmers in his poem Roundabouts and swings. It's long been used widely all around the world. It is a poem that is still pertinent today.
I love it! ❤️
Hey Emma ! Thank you for the card ! I got my Hudson v3 and I am going on allure of the seas!🎉🎉
Yay!! Love your profile pic 😀❤️
Nothing like a little "Splish Splash" to unwind a busy day haha.
Interesting. My wife and I took our first Oasis class (Allure of the Seas) a year ago. We found it to be one of our better cruises. Also had an inside balcony, 3rd from the end to people watch the Boardwalk, watch the Water Shows, movies and see the ocean. Worked out great. Perhaps if further from back of ship you could feel like your in an apartment complex looking at each other but no issues for us. The ship itself also well designed to get around easily. Walking promenade fully around ship. Of course the Central Park area was great as well. Zip lines/ice rink & show..................
Sounds good! 😁🥳
Good video. Thanks Emma.
Brilliant review em that is one impressive ship 👍
Thank you! 😁❤️
We juat got off a cruise and had a balcony cabin ovee the boardwalk. I never cloaed my curtains because loved the lights and sounds. It was amazing!!!
Love it!! 🥰❤️
I've only just started watching your videos , wow absolutely superb 👍👍👍
Thank you! 😁❤️
Great video!
Hey Emma. Haven’t seen you in awhile. Happy New Year 🎆. You look amazing. Beautiful ship. Was on the Seascape Thanksgiving week in an Aurea room and they gifted us the diffuser. Didn’t care that all passengers had to go to their cabins at 4 o’clock. Watch the safety video then go to the muster station all at the same time. These inner balcony rooms are interesting cuz some folks don’t close their curtains and yes you get an eye full 😂😂. I thought Royal was the only ship like this. The 11 deck slide 🛝 looks fun. Agree Rmma. Those 2 lights do look 👀 like eyeballs. Creepy at night I’m sure. Love safes like that. Don’t understand why the fridge drinks not included with the drink package. Yes. Service twice a day was great. And yes. The bathroom was very small. Silent discos are hilarious. I would forget to turn the DND button off 😂. But our steward was great and would knock. MSC has good prices. WiFi and drink package included. Thanks for sharing. 🤗
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
My family and I love your vlog. ❤
Thanks so much 🥹❤️
“Swings and roundabouts.” Never heard that, but a good expression for a situation that comes up a lot…when multiple choices, but they kind of are equal and pretty good.
Been on two MSC cruises: never ever ever again. If you're bored on the ship, go on down to the customer service...take some knitting or something and sit down and enjoy the show of the screaming passengers getting absolutely no help from the snobby staff for the problems on board. Absolutely would rather be on a raft than an MSC cruise.
I’m going on the Symphony OTS in August, I’ll be having an ocean view cabin, and right across there will be our boardwalk view. I’m actually excited to watch some shows from the room!
Had 3 cruises with MSC and enjoyed them all. World Europa was the highlight beautiful ship and well equipped. Value for money on MSC cant be beaten.
I always relate to your videos and find something to laugh about. I just love them. 😵💫The eyes at night lights would have made me insane.
I’m sure Emma won’t see this but I’ve followed you for a while now. Maybe 2 years? Idk anyway I’ve NEVER been on a cruise. I just like Emma 😂. But my 23 year old son was very badly injured in a car accident. He was hit by a drunk driver and he has a serious brain injury. He’s in rehab now. We don’t know how much he will recover but there are former patients who visit the hospital and they all say cruising is the best way to travel if you are disabled! Your hotel and activities go with you! I don’t know if Hayden will ever be well enough to take a trip again but these videos give me something to hope for. I’ll keep watching Emma. Thank you from a fan who never knew she would need you so much ❤
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for this comment. I’ll keep everything crossed that one day you can take him on a cruise, I agreed it’s a great way for people with disabilities to travel. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
It gives me the vibes of a city on the sea 🌊
I like it , kinda interesting:)
This is the last ship I would ever want to travel on, with so many passengers how could this be relaxing ?
It’s a good job we are all different, variety is the spice of life as they say 😀💕
That looked like a cruise ship I would enjoy. Thanks for the review.
Thank you! 😁❤️
Great review. Thanks for giving us a real down to earth review / tour.
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
My wife has the same hang up with lights. She tapes over tv power lights also. Alarm clock gets a wash cloth over it. she even brings clothes pins to over lap the draperies to block out more light.
On the last ship I was on, we could see right down the tops of anyone on a balcony on decks below! I've been on a few ships with a design like this, so I was a little surprised to hear that you found this particularly novel!
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
I just bought a handbag using your code. Very pleased with it thank you
Woohoo! Thanks for letting me know :)
"When the turn the engines on and off..." Marine engines are seldom *ever* turned off for any stop of less than 48 hours. They are often left to idle for weeks because it's less stress on the engine than stopping and starting.
The vibration will be as they run the engines up to or down from speed and as the gearbox works through it's ratios. There are always harmonic vibrationss in a ship and those will vary depending on the engine speed and the location on the ship.
Yes that’s it. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
They usually turn off the main engines in port. Generators are another story. Few ports have shore power available so the ships have to run the generators the whole time they're in port. Most cruise ships are diesel/electric. Many have Azipods. Their speed can vary and that may cause noticeable vibrations. Container ships and tankers usually have slow speed diesels. I've never seen those on a cruise ship.
