makes no sense to me though. What did the old lady to? what was her impact in the whole scenario?
@@mollerbt if i remember correctly, it was to give edamura more confidence in his craft so that when he believes he has to escape the authorities, he'd be more willing to leave the country where laurent would be waiting for him.
@@ZainKaneko you didn't remember correctly unfortunately. It's explained in the second episode that the old lady is a scout for them to find a fellow swindler as they otherwise didn't have any contacts in Japan, thus the need for the scout to act as the bait. 🤦♂️😅

Can somebody please explain the watch thing to me that happened towards the end??? This was the longest I've seen them trying to figure out what was going on too hahaha
It was basically all a setup from the beginning. It’s shown that they all wear the same watch cuz they work together, so when the kid thought he was finessing the old lady with the old guy, it was really all a setup by them and the blonde guy (Laurent)
the old lady pretended to live in the house. The old couple that arrived at the end are the real owners of the house. They were out because they suddenly "won" a contest and went to some hotsprings
