    Friedrich Nietzsche said, “Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.”
    This is an important concept. You don’t want to become what you’re fighting, or even what you’re researching. Take time to step back, making sure you are not being pulled INTO the abyss. Make sure you can always return to Christ.

      Nietzsche also said, "two great narcotics that Europe faces: Alcoholism and Christianity".

    One could argue that faith has the same results, that everyone dies too, and therewith that any temporary benefits gleaned are also nullified in death too. The notion and incentive of hope is as open to any practice of faith/hope and trust in a higher, whether an institution such as the Catholic Church or the direct revelatory encounter with a higher power of any sort.

    What I don't get is that it is SO common today for people to have strange alien encounters, mystical experiences, spiritual highs, locutions, illusions, imaginations and hearing a voice (allegedly God) etc. and instead of these people questioning the experience they are lead astray by the experience because it plays on interior pride of being "unique" "singled out" or "chosen" ..and if you ever study the history of the church and its Saints, the ones God has truly interacted with and spoken to are very few and far between in history, quite frankly the true ones are RARE, even those that Lucifer is permitted to interact with. This generation has an alleged surplus, it's ubiquitous, which tells me it's fake. And then that begs the question, is it the demons? Or is it DARPA?

    • @Gods_Blessings_For_You
      @Gods_Blessings_For_You 2 місяці тому

      People have always had these experiences, and in large numbers, but were afraid to talk about them in the West because of attacks from both traditional religious people and the psychological establishment. Even today, most "religious" people will make any kind of effort to deny the reality of the "spirit world" and its ubiquity - and this goes double for the academic / psychological community. If you study the spirituality of the East, Middle East and the pagan West through the centuries, you will see just how often these things really do happen. These people often question their experiences, and pride has no place in a true experience of the "supernatural". In fact, as I've already mentioned, most people who have these experiences deny them to themselves in order to fit in to "normal" society because they do not want to be "special" and "unique" because they had a paranormal experience that others would shun them for. I hope I have provided some illumination, because your opinion is one-dimensional and will only served to keep you in ignorance.

    "Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”" -Revelation 22:8-9
    P.S.: UA-cam changed their logo a while back to celebrate "World Tarot Day". Shame.

    was interested in occult stuff (nothing explicitly satanic) but realized it was so far beyond me and now I fully realize how powerless we are without Jesus Christ the Lord. He saves!
    Edit: great point at the end about “what did they gain?” Madness and lunacy is so real with this stuff! Be aware and stay away! Only God and Jesus prevail and give us eternal life.

    So as a "pastor" it didn't occur to him to rebuke this thing in the Name above all names? It didn't occur to him to test the spirits? I don't believe he was ever a pastor. Lastly, his experience reminds me of teilhard de chardin's experience.

    Dude, I so respect your point of view, but when I hear your pragmatic rationalization rooted in biological determinism with references to "species" and so on, I wonder if Christianity is just a phase for you. Seriously, Christianity, especially in its most orthodox manifestations, aims to escape reason, to go beyond reason; it's an antidote to our toxic, "I know" mind; it's a refuge in another realm where reason is useless and can only drag you down back into the toxicity of a godless materialistic world of species and the fragmented, atomized, soulless and maddening universe. Every time you try to reconcile these two incompatible worlds, you lose, big time. JK:) Great video!

      Thomism elevates reason by reconciling it with faith; both are necessary although obviously we walk by faith not by sight. Forgoing reason for faith alone is what lead to protestantism with all it's errors rooted in logical fallacies.

      @@NTNG13 We can never forgo our reason for anything. All we can do is temper it so that it doesn't dwell too much on materialistic theories and concepts (such as those that this Channel often indulges in, which have nothing to do with God, but are products of human egos) that only lead us away from God's creation into a cold and uncaring universe imagined by humans.
      Actually, I've always thought that Protestantism puts too much emphasis on reason, which is why it's all talk and no worship. I personally prefer well-decorated churches with services focusing on prayers, hymns, and heavenly music (since it all appeals to my heart/soul, not to my reason) as it allows me to escape my ego and reunite with God, which can only be done through my heart/soul; not through my reason. While all teachings that appeal to your reason, including Thomism and Protestantism, might have their merits, once some dude starts appealing to my logic, by interpreting scriptures to me [usually from a very materialistic and literal perspective] or telling me how I'm supposed to live my life, whether it's in a Protestant church or on this channel, this is where the departure from God begins.

      have you tried eastern orthodoxy. from what I can tell, they don't even try to rationalize anything. it's all accepted as a mystery.

      How did Father Brown detect the false priest? He was arguing against reason. That is poor theology.
