I like Storm but their reps are always saying "something that has never been done before", to only go create the same ball and motion that they've created before. Smh
Looking at the specs on the website... this is just an attempt at urethane that's not subject to PBA urethane rules. That said, a urethane ball that holds surface longer and doesn't get bogged down with oil would be pretty dang cool. We'll see if it delivers.
So, it's Storm's version of microcell polymer. Smooth, controlled reaction that still absorbs oil to maintain reaction that sits between urethane and reactive. The most important thing here is the intended retention of surface prep. If they can reduce the speed of lane shine a ball develops, that'll be pretty cool.
@@cyan0xide Urethane is the strongest cover type, IE it grabs the earliest. That's why a short pin strong resin is closer to urethane than a weaker ball, mcp is stronger than resin but weaker than urethane. weak resin wouldn't bite in the oil enough and wouldn't be smooth or predictable
So..this resolves the problem of the balls absorbing oil too slowly? I'm confused as to if that is the problem this is resolving. I get that it's keeping the surface prep longer, somehow, but if the ball is absorbing oil faster, then won't it die faster?
So basically this is a newer type of Pitch Black judging by color and roll characteristics. Wonder how you will create a Level Blackout down the road though.
I can ALREADY see it. Yes, yes! --- *YES !! I CAN SEE THE POSSIBILITIES !!* LEVEL HYBRID // PRO LEVEL // NEXT LEVEL // FINAL LEVEL // ENDLESS LEVEL // LEVEL UP // PHAZE LEVEL ... ... Someone saw "RPM" and decided to fabricate an acronym for it. How are you so disconnected with pro shops at a fundamental level? Do you have any idea how entirely disinterested the average pro shop customer would be with this jumbled language?

Considering Motiv has had tech for a few years that resist surface changes during use.....its not even that game breaking or "new" lol
Preach 🙌
😂😂😂
Every brand does the same thing. Every rep will brag how this is the "must use" ball....Until the next ball is released.
why you think they are called king of marketing?

Its literally just the Nu Blue and Rattler Nu. Maybe Storm will get it right but I have my doubts.
@@JoeDoe-ro1msSPi is the best out there anything else is second! Motive will soon be purchased, I’m sure you have heard..
@@redcat5697 Ah yes, Facebook boomer bowling schizophrenia. My favorite lol
Exactly what I was thinking it was meant to be
So they went the Motiv route?
So I assume the 2nd ball in the line would be the “Next Level”? 😂
Or just Level
Level Up
Level 2 lol
Awww! I thought I WAS already coming up with ''original ideas'' !! 😂😂
The NeX Level

But wouldn’t a budget/mid level resin ball already be a step between urethane and high performance reactive? Or a mix?
@@cyan0xide mid level resin ball is going to have a much weaker cover which will result in a very different ball reaction type.
On paper, this is just a NU ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is that Jamie from Progressive in the shadows speaking 🤔
No!

Marketing team went crazy with this one. I'm skeptical but excited
thanks ma boi
Looks SPECish
SPEC was designed to absorb oil more slowly, so, in theory, this would be the opposite of that
@ I mean shape wise
Does increased oil absorption result in faster coverstock oil saturation?
We know surface changes after just one throw. So show us the data that backs up the claims that this new surface lasts longer
I’m super excited
Wow another black ball with gray text. Impressive.
The best
Black IS beautiful
Don't forget the $195 price tag also.
I’ll pair this with my Phisix Blackout
I’m liking it
So basically this is a newer type of Pitch Black judging by color and roll characteristics. Wonder how you will create a Level Blackout down the road though.
They use vantablack as the color
What i love within 3 months is that the ball will be in the trash being replaced by a new version
So it's a limited release ball that's similar to Motiv's Tank balls?
So.. is this Storm’s take on a “not urethane” ball? 🤔
Usually the first of everything has the most success! Hopefully history repeats itself.
Is it a more beefed up SPEC-coverstock?
The price on this is insane. Just buy a Pitch Black.
So it’s Duramax ?
Is this not SPEC 2.0?
Neat
For once would you please have amateur or house league bowlers testing new balls, 90% of the bowling population are not pro and bowl on a house shot
Ma boi I am not a pro bowler lol
Is this the new iPhone or bowling ball?

I'll have to try it out but maybe first pro trans movement I can support
add this additive to the ion pro lol
Storm is like Toyota motors. They have a lot of different models.
All I’m saying is bowling ain’t never that deep to stay anonymous 😂
Disappointment might start going torch hammer I think storm got woke !!
Another black ball 😢!!! Come on storm
Wouldn't faster oil absorption mean that the ball won't last as long? If that's so then why is it $200
Rolls like a Pro-Motion?
All I've been wanting from SPI is more balls with a diff below .040, and this looks amazing. Will most likely be picking one up.
Going after hk22 or duramax?
I thought you didn’t want a ball that absorbed oil like paper towel
reathane or uractive? vote in the replies
Rip to my wallet! I can't wait for this ball to come out.
Someone saw "RPM" and decided to fabricate an acronym for it.
How are you so disconnected with pro shops at a fundamental level? Do you have any idea how entirely disinterested the average pro shop customer would be with this jumbled language?
Lol or just buy Motiv if you want consistency past 4 months
Guess what color….. black
Gonna be sweeeeeet when USBC bans it after we all buy it!
Motiv has already had this, stop the cap
Never before done? Motiv been had a polymer ball.
Too much overlap with other products. Way overpriced.
Why do I always feel like Storm is trying to get me to join a cult? They take this business of knocking over sticks with rocks way too seriously...
third... dang it...
Lets talk about a ball and not see how it reacts.. great advertisement..
First
Second, lol
