I just love how they gave Dan Aykroyd so many monologues - I absolutely adore this. You can totally tell the man is in his element - since he himself is a student of the occult and paranormal.
Though in reality Dan Aykroyd himself is in a permanent state of monologue.
But that’s why we love the man he’s always in that state

Having major flashbacks to when Ghostbusters: The Video Game released and we had the OG team playing themselves again. I love how the games allow the actors to come back to these characters, when their actual age creates limits to what they can do on the silver screen.

I will take that statement as the confirmation of my personal head canon post Afterlife: Ray got depressed when the Ghostbusters business started to fail.
Well...Ray is the *"heart of the Ghostbusters"* .
That plus one of his best friends took all their equipment so none of them could bust ghosts and just...well..ghosted them all.
21:00 I love how Tobin has to keep being more and more specific because the player character isn't getting it. Then when he does, he completely misses the point of how binding relics work, and Tobin just *groans* in exasperation.
That was alot of fun. It was like watching a real ghostbusters episode. If they made a show like this I’d be sure to watch it. Many thanks for posting.
I’m curious about the ghosts. I mean I know Slimer and the eyeball ghost, but the one thing I love about the franchise was the unique ghosts you face. Hope to see a video of which is playable.

whole Time I kept seeing this as a Real Ghostbusters Episode It Just Gives off the vibe.
Calling Peter Venkman tease at the end was great seeing that they still acknowledge Peter here.

Peter's got a habit of putting stuff on the To Do list that never gets done. Remember in the animated series? In Citizen Ghost he forgot to destroy the old uniforms and accidentally created the Spectral Ghostbusters. I just take it as him busting a ghost without bothering to check WHAT it was, like Ray and Egon would, and then forgetting about the Trap.

It's implied that they opened their own branch somewhere after the events of GBTVG, but that was also before the fallout between Egon and the rest

Looking at the recruit Render model, it looks similar to the model they used from the game in 2009.
I hope the game gets major support to be able to play as a terror dog goozer or vigo and some others like the gray lady I could go on
Wow. I can't believe they gave this to you to post. Yet, on the other hand, they are right: someone is going to post this anyway. I hope the right people see this next statement: this actually increased my interest in the game exponentially and, yeah, I just bought it. Thanks to both Illfonic and Ghostbusters News for taking one of the most ambitious marketing opportunities I have ever seen.
We were a bit taken back when they asked, but they're confident in the game, and they know they've got something good!
@@GhostbustersNews awesome if I remember correctly, Ghost Corp had the same confidence in the 2009 GB game and it’s still the best. Looks like it’s going to have competition now.
Hopefully we get an upgrade of mood slime to get the ghost out of Winston. Can't wait to play this game ^___^
I wish we would get more lore regarding Spates Catalog. Don't get me wrong, love Tobins Spirit Guide, but Spates needs to be fleshed out more.

wow for the first time it isn't ray that got possessed immediately but Winston that's an interesting change he's usually the one that is more intelligent when in comes to possessor ghosts
There's a Question i been meaning to ask? If Winston got possess by a Ghost can't they just... You know Hose him with Positive charge Slime? The same one their use on Vigo the Carpathian?

the game itself im sure is decently fun online and such, but the story part here does feel a bit short and basic, esspicacly since it's just cutscenes that unlock as you do online matches it's honestly somewhat pointless
Not pointless, as its a fun thing that pops up once in a while by just playing the game.
It shakes things up from being "just" a 4v1 Online Game.
The last two Illfonic games didn't have any story at all. I would rather have a short basic story than nothing. Also it only costs $40, so it's not worth complaining about it.

I honestly may not like Ghostbusters very much aside from the song during Halloween times but this game is just overall really good, it just seems like that old classic feel when it comes to like an Xbox 360 or PS2 game

I understand the feeling. When I started watching this I though it was the opening chapter and not the entire story.
If anything this gave us all closure to not get this game because it’s not the ghostbuster game we want or need. 2009 one will always be the best one.

I don't own a Playstation, but is there a significant difference in quality from PS4 to PS5?
I finished the campaign today solo. It is an okay story but it feels like the opening chapter to a much bigger storyline.
Also it felt more like it was something from the Real Ghostbusters cartoon rather than something in the movie universe. I am not saying that it is bad but the talking and threatening ghost works better in that setting than the movie universe where the ghosts in general are more raw emotion in behavior rather than intelligent actors. So when one that can talk and think makes an appearance it really gives people an "Oh sh*t!" moment because they are going to be dealing with something really alien.
I felt that Nameless was primarily played for laughs and was never really a threat.
If this was indeed a pilot for a RGB like animated series I would definitely be interested in seeing more with Ray, Winston, Cat, and Eddy.
Also, I think perhaps the mini campaign should have shortened, with a cutscene taking place after the player has finished one of the maps for the first time.
And at the end of the mini campaign the player gets to play as a ghost.
Roughly how long is the game in solo story mode? Is it worth it?
@@glennscott5935 I find this one hard to answer as there is not really a 'campaign' in which new parts of the story are shown as you play it like for example with Ghostbusters the Video Game.
Rather new parts of the story are 'unlocked' as you acquire experience and level up.
First as a Ghostbuster, and later on as a ghost. You can switch between the two.
I think a new segment becomes available every every five levels you have gained.
When that happens you are told in the firehouse to either talk to Ray in his store or go to the lab and talk with Cat, Eddy, or Winston.
So the length of the storyline depends really on how much time you are willing to spend in acquiring experience points by finishing maps over and over in order to level up.
The storyline... I would not call it an afterthought, but it plays a rather secondary role if I have to describe it.
I would advice buying the game for that if that plays an important role in your decision to get the game.

I am probably in the minority but Winston has always and always will be my favorite ghostbuster. I don’t really know why I just love his character. I am glad he has more spotlight in the newer series. Made me happy. I can’t wait to try this game out. I have always wanted ghostbusters in first person!

Have you checked the website of the game? There are at least four or five ghosts.
The eye one, Slimer, a cactus looking one, and one that looks like its made up of brain matter.
Edit: oh and there is one with four arms.

Well the slime has a shell life And we don't know what happened to the slime blowers.
If that is it then I'm disappointed all this time and that's it very short story you should have been like level one and then you go on to the big ghost
I can get into that. The story we saw felt like the opening chapter to a much larger story with possibly another Outsider like Gozer showing up at the end while in the meantime the player takes on daily assignments and does research in this coming threat.
Now I am wondering if there will be story based expansions.
Anyway, I understand your frustration, especially if you had wanted to see something on the level of Ghostbusters the Video Game.
I am SO TIRED of asymmetric multiplayer ‘survival’ games. So damn lazy. Make a good single-player and then add multiplayer if you want.

I just tried to play this game only to have the a/v out of sync. it also was on the loading screen too long.
Its like a new take on Extreme Ghostbusters, but without the 90isms.
Playing on Xbox One X. Game keeps crashing after Winston is possessed and leaves the basement, so it's nice to be able to see the rest of that particular cutscene.
