The chrome actually looks great like it is.
I think the ‘18 short bed looks perfect how it is. I have a black ‘03 sport that had a cracked front bumper cover and I ended up “temporarily” replacing it with a chrome bumper and I actually like it more and I’m probably just going to leave it. Black and chrome just go good together
I think the polished and chrome is a nice change and looks sweet.
ANY shackle length change yields only HALF of the difference. Its basic geometry since the axle is in the middle of the stationary pivot eye of the leaf spring. C'mon.
Blacked out!!! Chrome inserts,chrome handles,chrome mirrors, and get the tow hooks done in chrome then everything else paint matched💪🏻 simple and clean

The limited style grille would look good color matched on the other truck, but leave the RAM letter in the center chrome. It would break the front end up nice if you plan on color matching the bumper.

I see changing the title to better reflect the scope of your respected and repeated hard work that was done so in years to come someone looking for a guide on how to install drop shackles they will be recommended this video. Sure, there are upload "tags" but there a lot of watchers that are clickbait hesitant, especially when it's not been mentioned in the title. I'd imagine that would help gather more post-upload week view counts. For instance, "3rd gen Drop Shackle/Reverse Level + Burnout Test Approved" etc..

About your burn out. With my 2020 the dealer told me any time the brake is applied while on throttle the fueling gets cut. Maybe that truck had a software update at one point.

Nebraska nose dive haha. I didn't know our working lifestyle had a name. For real I am going to do my very first entry on any YT contest for this setup, I might be able to squeak some money out for a tshirt. I had to sell my diesel a few years ago to help our young family with some bills. I grew up wanting a regular cab manual and we need a trailer like this on the farm something terrible.

Prob a traction control deal…. My 14 cuts power if the truck shifts sideways at all, even if you turn the traction control “off” it senses sideways motion and kills it. Just a thought

My 06 5.9 g56 mega does the same thing it'll rip off the launch but straight up dies as soon as you hit the brakes

The 4th gen would have a kinda 3rd gen look if you painted the bumpers and then left the surround chrome but painted the inserts black as well. I do think it looks good but I also think it would look better with a little less chrome on it... so good luck!

If it was me the ‘18 needs paint matched bumpers, paint matched mirrors but keep the caps chrome, paint match the grille surround and leave the chrome inserts. I am also not much of a fan of chrome handles, to me they need to match the paint of the truck.
I would leave chrome bumpers and grill surround and mirrors. Paint chrome handles black plastic on mirrors and maybe grill inserts
Fun fact: The rear wheel arch on Dodge/Ram trucks is 1" higher in the rear than the front.

As much as I hate to say it, I would like to see your take on a “sema” style lift. Like an 8-12 or something awful like that.
This has fly-by-wire throttle right? That's probably why it's cutting power. Fly-by-wire is setup to close the throttle if you're stepping on the brake and throttle pedal at the same time. Every modern car with cableless throttle will do this
LOL there is no throttle plate in that truck.

I wouldn’t drop the rear end on a truck because I haul a trailer and when you sit a trailer on that mug with a load then you ride fine as hell with a level truck with a load behind you, Also I would not remove your LOAD Leaf !!😤 Gah dang Bo put a gooseneck behind that truck now For real with the setup you have and are happy with let’s see what that truck does with Any trailer behind it
