Probably but not as well as the bagger blades because they are shaped to create more suction. On the other hand, reviewers on Home Depot say that when they want to mulch instead, they have had good success with just removing the bagger and covering the discharge hole. So it's possible you'd only have to change the blades once (or once a season, depending on how much it gets used). The mower itself is fantastic and has PLENTY of power, even on quite tall grass.
I just used it for the first time today, with the mulching blades still on. too much work for me to change them, and I couldnt find anyone local to do it and ryobi service centre is an hour away. I called ryobi - they said it will still work, might be slightly less lift (but noted on the call theres no diff blades on the push mower for bagger/ no bagger) it worked great ! brilliantly! cant imagine it wouldve been THAT much better with the right blades on, life changing! So relieved that the thing works given the crazy price of this rather lightweight rather flimsy bagger. I'm gonna beat those leaves at their game this year! I've almost forgotten about the price. (PS Im in Canada, so its US price x 1.5 + 13% sales tax -almost double the crazy,.
Was disappointed that Ryobi support never sent the parts I needed that were missing when I bought this mower. They said they were sending and they never came.
I just bought my RM480EX yesterday. I have been waiting for it to be in stock again since Halloween!
Awesome! Thanks for being patient with us, please let us know how you like it!
The bagger is a totally different beast than the one i received yesterday for the 30 inch rider! What gives?
Hello I have attached the bagger exactly as shown here along with the blades. Why is it not bagging and discharging the clippings to the side?
Absolutely love ryobi tools. I would love one of these. I just question the timing of the video. Look outside :). Let’s see assembly of snow blowers
Life Rebuilt That's why I moved to Florida.
There is a plow for it, works great!
Yo ryobi guy where can i get the exact one you have here???
Will the bagger still work if you don’t change the blades out?

At 20 second you say refer to the link below. I haven't found any video that goes through the steps, and there is no link to one here.

It only fills one bag properly. How do I fix that?
