Excellent video! I've been looking for it for many weeks. Got an inflatable boat that needs this type of trailer and banks. Super helpful info! Million thanks!
I have owned a Harbor Freight trailer for about 8 years now. They are great little trailers. The only issue I had was it turning pink after a few years. I just got a can of Rust-Oleum paint and recoated it.
Can you tell what kind of brackets you used to attached the 2X4 to the trailer? I got the same trailer and want to do the same setup for my aluminium boat. Thanks!
Yes I would, I would probably upgrade the tires and make sure the bearings are greased. If you look on my videos you’ll see the 4x8 Harbor Freight Camping Trailer I built, similar trailer frame. We have pulled that as far as 200 miles to our destination, 400 miles round trip, multiple times, no issues. Thank you for watching
What would you recommend I do for a flat bottom Jon boat, specifically the Pelican Intruder 12? I need a trailer but can’t afford a standard ‘boat’ trailer. I like your mods but I don’t think I need all of them since it’s flat-bottomed. Thanks!
Have you had any problems putting the stock tires and hubs in the water? I have tried to get bearing buddies for mine but cannot seem to find the right size, any suggestions?
Powerline Rider Really!? You're gonna wait til it's $20 cheaper? During the time you're waiting for the price to drop $20, if it ever does, you will have blown that $20 elsewhere anyway.
Fanatic Veedio I’ve got a 14’ I need to modify my trailer for. You can make it work. Just bolt some more steel to the end. But you may have to move the axle Further back.

Which one did you get 1100lb or 1700?
@@AJ-ds9xq 1100lbs. I've pulled that thing at 65 mph for many many miles. No issues.
Trailer is looking awesome!
Adventure Outdoors thanks Steve, looking forward to using it.
We built one of these that can be converted to a flatbed, stake side, or boat trailer and it still folds. We tow a 12.5-foot inflatable on it.
How stable is that thing on the road? Especially at 50 and above mph
How well has it held up? Lights bearings?
Can you tell me about the make and model of your boat? Awesome job with the trailer!
Hey Chris, the boat is a Water Quest 10.2 camouflage boat. I think is was made in 1993.

Looks great nice work!
Sweet video. Nicely done. I'm still waiting to see a new flag video!
Would you feel comfortable driving this type of trailer on the highway and for long distance?

Any problem getting your trailer registered? You are in NC correct?
Hows this been holding up? heard they only last a year. hmm

im getting the sunpelican 12 foot soon and i have a car, what did you end upi doing?
I knew you were from NC just by the accent! Lovin the trailer and the boat man. Very nice
I have an inflatable 14 ft by 6 wide will this work?
It’s a takacat flat bottom, so no need for a center roller. Also not the resting v kn the front

I haven’t had any issues that I’m aware of yet. I use a waterproof marine grease, not sure if that has helped but everything seems fine so far.
did you use a coupon when buying it? i saw it at 279 but its back to 299 next time its at 279 im gonna buy it
Powerline Rider yes, I did use a coupon, great deal
was it a specific coupon for the trailer or a universal store wide coupon?

Great job, but don't forget to get a spare tire.
So you can't fold it anymore?
No, just use it for the boat
nice job
What angle did you pit the bunks at
Carson Orm good question, I didn't check the angle, I put my boat on it and placed the bunks at the best angle to fit my boat
Do they just carry these in stock?
They also have trailers made for boats but they are a little more expensive
What size boat did you say your boat was? I plan to get this trailer and use it for a 12 footer alum valco boat - what do you think?
