I’ve never felt as helpless as when I had to duel this monster. Absolutely incredible frag video from the undisputed GOAT UT player. Usually frag videos have either great editing or great frags, this one had both. Shame that we will likely never see a better game than UT2004 in our lifetime :(
Haven't seen the name xelfer in years! I was Optic EchozZz/CuZnWhiTey back in the day...I stopped playing 2k4 a very long time ago! I miss it so damn much! I ended up playing quake live a bit after, but have been off a PC for a very long time. I miss the community a lot as well! I got my "Z's" when I beat XyberzZz...LOL Good times! Also, skAven! What a damn video! Truly highlights how incredibly difficult 2k4 was! Cheers, Men. We got to see and be a part of PEAK FPS greatness!
What a nostalgia trip you just gave me. UT2k4 hands down the best UT there was, dont @ me. Really enjoyed that one mate, seeing and hearing(!) all those names, old teammates, iconic names in the community etc. Good shit skaven!
Haha thanks a lot lux! But foremost, thank you for the inspiration. You fascinated a whole generation with your shieldjumps and headshots, including myself. "just aim for the head" :)
I played unreal tournament 2004 from 2005 to 2009 best shooter ever unfortunately times change, gamers change but memories remain . This game was insane , adrenaline rush i was in the time clan a european clan we played CTF , ictf TAM most of the time ' great times .
Oh man I'm so happy to see this. I had some sort of nostalgia trip while watching this.. Just remembering all the long days playing UT2004 and editing fragmovies. They were good times indeed. Awesome work with the video Sam
ut2004 + great skill = the most beautiful gameplay i'v seen PS. I would love to see some very long frag movie, professionally edited, that would probably go to the gaming history.
This is amazing, and I havent enjoyed a UT2004 frag vid this much in a while. Since it was your first edited video, it was also fun to watch the editing skills improve as the video went on, impressive how much you can learn in 1 project :) Amazing content, keep it up!
Insane skills and excellent editing. I think it's the best fragmovie I've seen since the days of Crystal and Electry. Merci à toi pour tout ce que tu apportes à la communauté. Tu tires tout le monde vers le haut. Au plaisir de te recroiser ig ;)

Nice job. I know you put a lot of effort into this and it shows! Well done and always nice playing vs you. From a 12 year old shock only noob to an all round outstanding player ;)
Thank you Woutie ❤️ You brought joy and inspired that 12 year old who got to see you in action for the first time on an overcrowded UTV in 2005 (thousands of simultaneous viewers, spammy chat and a display rendering of about 5-10 fps) in the EuroCup finals vs kiLLu :)
Amazing video man! I can see why this video took so long to come out...it's very well made. Totally worth the wait... top quality content!!! Also, does this game still have a competitive/professional scene? If yes are you still playing this game professionally? I am asking this bcoz I saw many of the players in this video earlier in your King of Quarantine tournament videos.
Thank you so much for your kind words :) The competitive scene is practically non-existant now for roughly 10 years. However there were two occasions in-between where the top players returned to training: cluex's 10 years anniversary tournament in 2014, and the quarantine's duel tournament, this year. You're right, the same names appear in the fragmovie and in tournament's matches' videos, yet so many of these frags happened in 2006-2007. The reason is that oldschool "pros" are still among the best nowadays when there are occasional tournaments =) I was active recently for that tournament but apart from that I've been away from gaming (at least actively) for over a decade
Great frags! Well played! I noticed that Skaven has mini and link centered with the rest of the weapons to the right... I assume that this is for accuracy reasons? Does anyone know how this is done? I've tried making an alias for each weapon such as: (Command="set Engine.Controller Handedness 0 | SwitchWeapon 5",Alias="Weapon5") and it works in instant action but NOT online. Servers say they do not allow changing controller handedness during network play... Any ideas?
Thanks S Veloce! Weapons are displayed like that because of the RypelCam demoplayback add-on. In-game I use "hidden weapons" :) much better for visibility imo
I know you kind bing your mouse to centre aim. Does shaven do this? Makes sense because it’s unrealistic to keep your aim centralised so definite like this.
Geyus where can i get the damn key. I have lost my old one and cant finde any way to rebuy it O: ! Well for sure i will not buy it on steam or amazon i want to have the Anthologie version. Does any one of you can give me a hint?
Skaven, scrmz, gohlink, frantic, and others, Who Is the best of all if you have tò make a pool? They are the new and latest ut generation Who brought skill at a next level but never forget the all of a time oldschool players from ut99 and 2003 and 2004 Who also did unbeavable skill development and where unbeatble in tournaments all around the world in lan (ECG, wcg, eswc, Digital Life and so many) such as gitzzz, forrest, lauke, Devilmc, fragm, killu, astz, Falcon, Winz, burnie, evenflow, stryfe.. everyone obviously retires after a whole, and these can be all considered bad players by new generation once they all retired, but Who knows what would have happened if they could have been playing seriously as a job? never forget the Absolute best pro player ever, fatality, Who whatever he played won world titles against all of a time Monsters, he won everything over quake 3 and everything of the millionair world tour of painkiller. Unfortunaly real pro gaming was ending and this new generation of players could only exprime themeselves in online tournaments (which means absolutely nothing compared tò lan zero ping/pl same hardware no comfort zone, in front of hundreds people, there were also cases of monster online player that never reaches lan finals due to panick attacking being among people or in front of media) in which Monsters become noobs and noobs become the new underdogs. Also they could never play again the Monsters Who ruled the entire ut2004 scene for 3/4 of its Life time, they always lost to everyone without ever making it to a national final or a world lan or tour, and everyone became an online monster after the entire scene died in 2005 with eswc.fr with winners winz, lauke, falcon and devilmc, hypno they all retires and all second spot players od each country started to take their place (zill, skaven, gohlink, ecko, frantic, scrmz) and thet became the new Monsters but with no players and competion and with no all around the world tournaments... So Who can Say what AN ideal ut2004 scene would have been with all the players of all the time activiliy willing tò play without struggling with Life and involved in paid and sponsored all around the globe tournament? Nobody can, because fortnite, minecraft, overwatch, pubg, lol, Apex, valorant, diabotical, old quake Champions, never started ut4 alpha, Cod, dota2 which made few babies making millions and millions of dollars despite real StarCraft and Warcraft Monsters who did life to all of this and who were and would be unbeatable if they could play again, and other many shit arrived, and too many games to play, to many games any year, to many seasons and microtransactions and add ons. There is not a real progaming like when it started with wcg and starcraft, warcraft, ut99 and quake 3, before the 2000s, with all best players around the globe qualifying in national lan tournaments and flying to meet hundreds of other players in korea... The more they tried to enlarge this world to a real sport the more they killed it, reducing it to million of babies playing 100 games online and spending only lot of money of hardware, games and whatever, with no sponsorship or flies around the world to make money (look, a real player should make money even if he doesnt win, you must not be the best of the world among 100.000 players to win stupid money, a real sport is another thing, and we failed in this, there are 2 millions of players sucking their parents credit cards tò kill their brain 24 hours a day and 1 player on 2 millions gathering Money from tournaments). Curious to know what these proplayers are doing today, living or still locked in games? Such as valorant maybe? Is there a real progaminf scene with paid players Just tò partecipate tò real tournaments, or everyone Is running everyone tò the new game of the Moment until everyone gets old enough tò decide its time tò stop playing? :)
OH man this game is still so beautiful 20y later. How can such an amazing game not be popular in 2024.
