This is some community map right ? For which game was it originally intended ? It took me 2 mins of watching to realize there s the same but with different assets on UT4
Did i miss smth major when i used to play the game or there s wasn't wallbounces in UT2004 ? Same for anti-gravity boots, i heard GoHLink use some at 9:43. Also, i don t see the adrenaline counter. These are custom rules right ?
These are duel rules: 1 grenade at spawn, no DD, no adren What you're hearing at 9:43 is me taking a jump pad :D Wall-dodges were always part of ut2k4 :)
@@skaven_ut I ve restarted the game to hear the jump pad sound (it s been a long time i forgot the sound it makes) so yeah and omg for the wall dodge thing, I HAD NO CLUE, it wasn t taught in the tutorial, i didn t play much online on this game, didn t watch yt content when i used to play it and the bots don't make any use of. it feels so different now and I understand why are the competitive maps the ones i usually see now... 😶 One more for the road. Why is it always the lightning gun i see over the sniper rifle on these maps ?
@@MashMash Because LG is just so much cooler than sniper rifle 😂 Not only it can deal splash damage, but it doesn't shoot petty bullets either. It shoots goddamn lightning bolts :)
Had it been 240hz screen and 0 ping + 300 fps like today, we would have been quite "average" with that performance that's for sure. But back then (as far as I was concerned) I played with a 60 Hz monitor (+ significant input lag), 500hz mouse, 90 fluctuating fps and the shittiest ping. Not mentioning UT using direct input rather than raw input for mouse control. It just can't be compared with today's conditions :) Not exaggerating but it was so inaccurate that I remember most of us used to shoot in a given direction and hope that it'd land. HSs used to be luck, it's not true anymore :D
@@skaven_ut the meta would be completely different today. Half of gohlink's rushes would be met with instant death, the other half would mean he dies 3 seconds later. I actually think that the essence of the game is completely gone, they've unlocked 400 fps and 360 Hz, it's just too unbalanced. I think the game was at its best in the 2010's gameplay wise. You didn't have laser mini just yet, hitscan was in the 40's for the best aimers which you can actually play around, and melee weapons had good strength. Nowadays Bugatti averages 65% lg and 60% shock, 50% hitscan is common for the top aimers and 40's is basically standard for high tier players
