Star Citizen 3.24.1 dropped last night half way through an update an I had to test it out and get a first impressions. There's some serious benefits to the Argo ATLS and I cant wait to have one on hand all the time. This is a massive change and I can't believe we got to check it out with no warning.

In concept/lore there is a combat based mech suit called the Titan suit. It was built to fight the Vanduul and is mainly used by the UEE Marines. Apparently in a report from March last year, CIG claimed that they were working on the Titan suit’s rigging and animations for Squadron 42
yeah and it was also in the old sq42 roadmap. 100% we will see it in sq42. I doubt to see it in sc until sq42 though
I hope they add it to live SC, would be a shame to miss out on it
Now I want them to allow you to play Mechball.
Totally not what i expected CIG to add but this is 100% a win. Cant wait to see combat varients or ship made for them
Not completely, it's P2W, they give you very annoying handheld beams but give you a good one if you pay

I'd love for combat versions of this to be able to be docked to the outside of ships, maybe like the Merlin on the Connie or onto the Prowler. Imagine zooming over somewhere like Jumptown and sending your mechs dropping down to join the battle :')

This is how the two-handed tractor beam should work as well.
The two-handed tracker beam was a waist of development time. they should of made upgraded parts for the multitool and expanded its functionality and potential.

No this is how all tractor beams should work, with manual and auto modes. The mechs should be much faster and a longer range though
@@yous2244 This is the correct answer right here. Give ALL tractor beams, whether they be handheld, ship-mounted, or vehicle/mech-mounted, the ability to swap between manual and automatic modes. Balance it by adjusting the speed, range and maximum weight/size that each one can handle.

Remember when Top Gear played football (soccer) with cars. Seems like a good video idea using teams of 5 and boxes in the very large hangar. Each team gets a goalie and 4 players for the field. The elevator lobbies are the goals.
the cargo moving improvements is the single most important part of this mech. I've been waiting for them to include some kind of 'automatically come closer and further away dynamically depending on where you look' feature because scrolling in and out is just such an RSI maker excuse the pun but this whole game causes RSI I swear
This is cool and all, but i still hope that they deliver on the OG Titan suit, even though that might be for SQ42, since it's a combat mech-suit.

Missed opportunity to quote Bender from Futurama when the Kopions attacked by saying "bite my shiny metal arse!"
It's basically the exact same powered suit for loading that Ripley wore in Aliens, but with the cool crushing hands replaced with a tractor beam. This isn't an alternate to Mech Warrior or Battletech. The end.
@@Skyrat12 This is a civilian power suit. There is also the Titan, a combat power suit created to fight aliens to big and dangerous for the average dude.
ya we wont get anything battletech. well we do get a giant spider mech for mining. that was in the clips of the SQ42 feature complete video, and we have some old footage of them in grey box. they are like 100m tall.
Now they should add tractor beams to dragon fly's and allow players to take contracts to load/unload the big ships at ports. Imagine 10-20 players on dragon fly's zooming around a port getting paid per container scu to load/unload massive ships. Could be a game changing loop for SC. Could create more interact at space stations as these loaders await the arrival of big ships.
Our first fall arrester system (so long as CIG doesn’t give them fall height damage). This is actually huge on multiple layers! I can see people use the throwing mechanics for a mech sport game. I can see this as the perfect cargo hauling vehicle! Every cargo hauler will have one now!

Evac pod filled with these that drop you to the surface would be sick, maybe a return to ship button aswell that has rockets to take you back to space to meet up with your ship again
your snow drop off reminds me of the Final Fantasy 3 prologue with the 3 magitek mechs with Vicks, Wedge and Terra :D
Someone got on the shuttle at Orison with the ATLS, the top of the suit was glitched thru the top of the shuttle though. Someone left one by the spaceport elevator at Orison and I moved a bottle around. I like the way the tractor works pinpointing where you want the box or object to go. Someone had a pic on testing chat and they apparently sent it up on a Connie elevator and it was inside crew area of the Connie. I’d like to see what areas it can go to in the Reclaimer.
it would be cool if you could change to arms to different type like missile arm or drill arm and more

They should add, or make a Argo ship with a small bay for Atlas. I think it will give the Argo ships(AKA the best ships) more personality
All of a sudden the Titan Suit seems to be within a realistic range of features.

id like a ship this can slot in too , or military dropped out the sky in to a battle. or slotting in to a trade ship to collect /ship boxes with out having to get out of the mech

Can it get a Box how far?
(Out of a safe zone?, out of a moon gravity? )
Can someone stand on the box while being tracktored and what happens it the box is launched up? Does it kill or carry the citizen up?
TLDR: Can you shoot a citizen into space?

Were so close to having mechs like in the matrix. This could potentially make ground combat actually fun, and ground vehicles/dropships actually useful. Imagine huge pvp events in different combat mech variants being dropped into the frontlines by ships. This very achievable idea has got me excited more then any new ships.
THE ONLY THING MISSING IS COMBAT MECHS EVERYTHING ELSE IS ALREADY IN THE GAME FROM TANKS TO ROCKET LAUNCHERS TO DROPSHIPS. IT ALL EXISTS ALREADY
I hope they had ones that can fly around in space and do battle that can be deployed out of ships

Really hope this tractor beam replaces all the current ones, and that it's not just going to be for this mech, I really hope it's applied across all tractor utilities.

I've been able to lift a destroyed Pieces with just a multitool tractor beam. I can imagine the loader would be able to do a whole lot more than just lift a small ship.

Awesome addition but if it is more than $20 that is ridiculous. I think CIG just sells them for more because they know people will just use them as tokens and play with them until they can buy the actual thing in game.
But the quality of this thing seems better than most additions. Hope they fix the clipping of the right leg when it is powered down, but otherwise, the animations and sounds are pretty well done for this module.

Can you use it to weaponize furniture? Using the charge throw function to throw a couch at a ship to take it out?
What if they made them more Gundam like. That would be a game changer. What if they had super rare alloy in the game that you can only get from destroying one but it was super hard to do.

CIG spent time & money developing the animation set for Exosuits, so they're gonna be selling them.
We've been asking to buy them. When sold in game they'll be like 50k auec tops...
Why would they not put it on the pledge store? Or better question why would you care that it’s on the pledge store? They got salaries to pay. This game wouldn’t be here without pledges so why would you want the funding to stop? Games development is not going to end ever hopefully.

why not just add a function that when you scroll your mouse it expands the cargo tractor selection to the next row of boxes so it can carry multiple and then maybe it wouldn't be such a chore to move boxes

Well, I mean there is a combat version that is called the Titan-Suite and SPOILERS:
It is pretty much confirmed though Monthly Reports that it is in Squadron 42. I honestly thought it might be for a Cut-Scene or for NPCs (for example a Boss-Fight) but given that they dropped this "just like that" I honestly think it will be controllable by us in SQ42. That's why the tech was already "done"
Sq42 doesn't exist. Just another part of the CIG scam.

One thing struck me... it's an Argo suit which does not fit inside the Argo Raft. Too bad.
What we need now is Xenomorphs
Let them add combat mech suits and put in a couple planets over-run by alien bugs or something and I'll put on my top hat and throw even more money at SC.
