I absolutely loved your calm approach to this bug out bags. I am not a prepper, and in my journey I was bombarded by videos of people literally getting ready for a mix of Armagedon and the apocalypse. I even watched people placing ammo, guns and knives on their kids backpacks. WTF. So thank you for showing us a better way to be prepared without going completely nuts.
Thank you so much for this kind message ❤️ I appreciate you!!
Yes, being prepared is not always about end of the world scenarios. I’m an older lady who preps for every day things. We all did this when we had kids naturally, like carrying a spare set of clothes or a snack/drink for the little ones, so it’s just an extension of this. I have things like a torch, power bank for my phone and cable, a bit of cash, spare coat and bottle of water in the boot of the car just in case I have a breakdown etc, not for zombies and all out civil unrest.
Great video!!! You are so right when you say bugout bags should be made to that individual/family. It makes surviving an emergency much more comfortable. I have been through wildfires, earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, etc. I learned that roads and highways may be closed, so make backup plans if that happens. You may have to walk or bike your way out. I keep a map for alternate routes, as well.
Yay so happy you enjoyed!!
Thank You for the suggestions. I live in south Louisiana and we have “Go Bags” ready all the time. I don’t remember if you covered Rx medications but it’s very important for older people to have an extra supply on hand at all times. Also over the counter meds also. I appreciate your views on CO conditions. Here people can lose everything and be displaced for months or would need to completely start all over in another area. Again thank you for the video. Much food for thought. 🌸🌸🌸
Thank you for watching ❤️🥰❤️ great ideas, I so appreciate your suggestions! 💜💜💜
Thank you for sharing your tips with us, but as a mom of 4 NEVER FORGET ORAJEL (incase of tooth pain) and feminine pads (multiple uses)
Very good ideas. Specially during tornado season. And any time. This day and age. You never know what could happen. It has been really windy here in Missouri too. Be safe out there.
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you watching ❤️🥰 You too!!
Greetings/ Southern White Dove/ add vitamin C 1500 mg in the am, it will give you clean energy/ spreading peace, love, & acceptance for all, instant RI cc e is an excellent addition.
Teach your kids. What to do in an emergency even your littles. What to do if they SEE fire. WHAT to do for a pipe burst in home. Even a back yard accident. But over all teach them not to panic and be all kinds of drama and crying. When you tell them how to handle things and act them out they can also be more help and not add to a bad situation. And they are more mentally prepared to handle it themselves and not freak. Take them camping in backyard to get used to night time noises. And not be afraid of them. And each can have their own job to help set things up. When they are busy it is also less stressful. And they know they are helping Mom and Dad. Gives them confidence not fear if out using those preps. They can gather wood or pound in tent stakes. Little jobs. Set up their own bed situation. Thats why practice is important and fun. They are not scared of it. It is familiar.
That is what they are for. A quick grab and go. So you will be good for at least three days. You can outfit it for longer. Many people experience fires, floods etc. And the bag is something quick you can leave with. I have had to use my bag quickly. My husband was in a car accident and taken to the hospital. Because I knew I had my bag in my car. I was able to just jump and run to the hospital. It is quite a distance from us. I used my bag to allow me to stay at the hospital with my husband. Because I had a change of clothes and a few personal items in there to use and get by with. And some of the food for snacks. A deck of cards to pass some time. I also keep Emergen C with immune boost. A quick way to build your system up under heavy stress. It really helps. Bug spray, antacids, spare batteries. Oh and some chamomile tea for sleep.
So sorry to hear of your husbands accident, but happy you were prepared ❤️ I appreciate you sharing your preps, this will be so helpful!

Hi Tory, excellent video! It’s such an eye opener to really think about all the what ifs. I’m in earthquake and fire areas. And with the world craziness, we really do need to be prepared. I need to get the straw water filters. Thank you for the excellent checklist. ❤️😊 Hope the winds calm down for you. Stay safe.😊
Hey there and thank you!!!❤️🥰 I so agree!!

I have a bug out bag for just in case my job site gets hit. It's a 2 day hump bag. MRE, low light flashlight, kubatan, pocket knife, several wraps of good twine, a extra set of underwear, tshirt, socks, small med kit, camel back, pepper spray, bug spray, compass, etc. My husband is a Marine and told me I have a 1 hour ish window to get my butt out of the city while everyone scrambles. May the odds be ever if your favor.
Oh goodness you definitely are prepared, stay safe at your job ❤️❤️❤️ thank you for sharing your tips, this will be very helpful for everyone 🥰
A 72 hour or 3day bug out bag. If you have to leave your home. It gives you what you need for 3days. It allows you to get to another safe location. With your things you need. Gives you 3 days to gather your thoughts and and plan your next move. In a less stressful situation..Because gou have your basic needs with you. Even if you need to go across country in your car. Have a tent situation will save you money not having to go use hotels. These bags can keep you away from possible mayhem in a city or town. To get you to a safe location. Or traffic backups on main roads. Know some alternative routes to your final destination. But gives you 3 days to get there or 3 days to make another plan. And keep you away from crowds or having to go in a town or city and get stuck there.
Love this.
Thank youuuu!!
I think the 3 days is due to the amount of time it take for help to get into desasters but pack what you think is nessesary and what you feel comfortabl carrying for bugging out or to ge you home if nessesary, great video and theres several good sujestiosin your comments to
Thank you ❤️
I love this video!!! Thank you so much for sharing with us
Yay yes of course!! Hope you are having a good weekend ❤️🥰❤️
My husband and I just updated our bags which we made years ago, then forgot about. Great suggestions for us to add as we go.
Yay for updating the bags, I definitely need to remind myself to do so on some items hehe! I hope you are having a great weekend ❤️🥰❤️
Oh girl you are a 100% prepared. I love it 🙌🏿
You are so sweet thank you!!
Great bug out bag! Looks like you have all the essentials there! Love the Justin's products, especially their peanut butter cups.
Thank you!! Yay 😀 we used to live about two streets over from headquarters, totally my fave too
Ya never know!
I'd rather prepare and not need it than not prepare and desperately need it.
Of course I live in hurricane country down here in south Alabama where we usually have a mad dash to the grocery store at least once a season for supplies to weather a major hurricane.
I love the Lady Speed Stick Zero that is at my Dollar Trees. Its aluminum free.
Nice thank you for that suggestion ❤️
These are great ideas Tory thank you! 💜💜
Thank you, I appreciate you!! ❤️🥰
A suggestion-- Take out the canned goods and add the packaged chicken or tuna in foil oacks. It reduces weight. And can still be added to your other meals.
Great video! Lots of great ideas. I need to do this for my family.
Thank you!!! I really started reorganizing when the fires happened because I got so nervous that I would leave something behind ❤️❤️❤️

I think 3 days is just a minimum arbitrary period of time in case of a crisis. Depending on the scenario you might not have anything to come back to or be unable to return. Fires, flooding, natural disasters, not to mention civil unrest, war etc. So many variables.
Good idea to have important documents together & in easy to grab place or other safe place. Birth certificates, passports, insurance etc.
Self defence items...
Maps paper/of your area in case there's no GPS or power grid issues. Knowing all the routes in and out of your area, back roads etc.
Ohhh I see, that makes sense. Thank you!! This is a great tip, thank you for sharing this!!
such an awesome idea, Tory! I have thought about making one of these but have never gotten around to it. Thanks for the motivation, you're the best!
Thank you so much, yay for being prepared ❤️🥰
Great suggestions. Definitely get those other tools and training. Hopefully you'll never need any of this stuff.
Thank you for watching ❤️ I hope we won’t either 🥰

That is amazing Colleen, and such a great tip for anyone reading the comments, do not forget the pets ❤️🥰 your Mom sounds like such a special person to have in your care 💜💜💜 so sweet of you to be prepped for her!
Many more people are beginning to realize the importance of these bags today. To get yourself out safely with the items you need for yourself or family and pets. If you try to do it when stressed. Like a fire approching hour home. You will forget things or wind up packing unnecessary items. And never having all you need. Because your in a panic then. With packed bags. You can have family and pets in the car in less than 5 to 10 minutes. And those minites are important to an evacuation event.
Excellent list! The wind in Oklahoma (not sure where you are) has been insane over the past couple of weeks!
Thank you for saying so, we are in Northeast Colorado, it has been awful! I appreciate you watching, stay safe ❤️🥰
For kids you can feel their heads for temp. And their eyes for temps. I would add an oximeter instead. To check their oxygen level. For colds. Tells a better story of their lungs and breathing.
In your folder make a list of phone number for the companies. Such as insurance companies or banks. Or triple AAA. JUST A READY LIST OF NUMBERS. OR FAMILY NUMBERS. And their teenagers numbers. A second way to get quick response to their parents. Or to gather them. In an emergency for a meet up. To all travel together.😊
Love it. I set up a bag for my wife, but haven’t set up one for the kids. Why should I carrry everything! Lol Kids are awesome!
Niceee! Haha my kids are not at that age yet, but I am counting down the days haha
Carry 1 soap to do all things. Not several. You don't need so many things. A frizbee and a deck of cards. Some wipes for all.
A bar of soap that you use in your body is not recommended to use anywhere else or meant to be shared at all because the risk of cross contamination with fecal matter. Gross, but true.
It funny.ever one is make one of these bag now . I had one for over 15 years. Pople wood call me crazy . I
Just a suggestion: go with the drip drop ore packets. Another version of liquid IV. Liquid IV has more sugar than salt while drip drop ore balances the sugar and salt and has a little more benefits. I had energy immediately after I drank the drip drop ore compared to liquid IV.
Awesome suggestion, I will absolutely look into it, thanks so much ❤️
@@MountainMommaLiving no problem!! Hope you find it
Alot of people call it a 72 hour or 3 day bangs due to length of time for FEMA to get to you and set up.

I had a similar issue with a different brand, I end up using 1/4 to half of the packet and I mix with some fresh fruit as well. So helpful to have I agree ❤️🥰❤️ ooo yes we do and I totally forgot to mention, thank you for commenting this!! Great tips ❤️🥰❤️
Have you had a look at dave Canterbury's 10 c's of survival

Everyone’s medication included I wrote this at beginning of your video so forgive me if it’s redundant. Be sure you have cash might be better than plastic .Take a break from listening to others .. follow your gut I’m over 2300 ft up in mountains. This volcano out my living room has been inactive for some time.. there’s no way inH!!! that we would be able to get off this island same with eruptions we have a lot tsunami threats here and quakes pretty strong.

3 days comes from the rules of 3
3 seconds without air
3 hours without shelter
3 days without water
3 weeks without food
3 days (72hrs) until the shtf passes and we're safe assuming by 72 hrs were back home and safe

ua-cam.com/video/b-IMgELJcn8/v-deo.html Id say this video is the closest to what we have now :)
Get some xylitol gum, mints or crystals for better health in general, not just an emergency... Xylitol has been used for decades, just not the US, to prevent cavities - it is a proven fact. Xylitol inhibits the growth of the strep mutans bacteria that causes plaque and cavities. FYI the job of saliva is to re-mineralized your mouth after every time you eat/drink. And xylitol helps stimulate an abundant flow of saliva that will flood the mouth with re-mineralizing spit. Don't get cavities in the Apocalypse... check out Dr. Ellie Phillips on the YT.
So, what about shelter items?
Our tent bag and shelter items are in the car ❤️🥰

i appreciate that you made this video but talk sooooooooooo much
@@MountainMommaLiving I sincerely apologize. I did not mean to be rude. I just put in the comments for the people that are in a hurry and just need a quick list. I do appreciate your efforts.
If people are in a hurry they can go to a different app. A 19 minute video is not long at all, each item needs an explanation. Honestly I have learned from being on this app for 6 years that I wont please everyone but I simply will not accept people saying "I talk sooooooo much," on a platform that specializes in long form video content. If you have noticed social media forces you to have a short attention span, this is an intentional scheme. I suggest getting off of social media entirely, it is poisoning us all.
