Hi! really want to test drive this car as this looks like the perfect daily in the metro... but coming from a Honda HRV, how does the power feel like? not underpowered naman? really eager to find out. Choosing between the Yaris Cross or the Corolla Cross is a tough one haha thank you!
I have my eye on the Corolla Cross tbh, and didn't really give the Yaris much of a chance, until I saw this in the metal. I now have a conundrum as to which might be the better buy.
When compared to the HRV though, are we talking about the 2nd gen lr 3rd gen? If it's the former with the 1.8 liter NA engine, you won't feel much of a difference. For the 3rd gen, though, sure the turbo must be faster for sure, buut only a proper comparo will suffice.

Traded in my 2017 Innova 2.8 E AT for the Yaris Cross V. And guess what, my only regret was not switching to a crossover sooner. I never needed 8 seats anyway. Out with the truck, in with the car-like crossover. :)
How's the build quality? They say doors and hood sounds bad?
@@storx61 i love cars and i usually DIY what i can since i first had one way back 2004. but i'm not a professional critic. now to answer your question, they sound just like any other good car, doesn't sound bad at all, at least for me :)

Best thing about this cross is that it has ample space for the back passengers despite its size, and there are a lot of creature comforts for them too.
It's a great balance of driver assist, good looks, passenger amenities, and price! Well done Toyota, kudos! 👏👏👏
I was sort of relieved that we got this model over the euro. It certainly is more spacious and in my opinion looks better!
Will perodua nexis or perodua D66b be something similar to this?
Thanks for the driving impressions! Other people say the pull is not enough, maybe you can elaborate more? You do seem very satisfied with the drive!
That's because I was! The Yaris Cross has enough gruff to get myself going. Comparing it to its turbo rivals, sure it doesn't have the same kick in your pants pull, but zipping in and around the testing area and some flooded streets it did just fine.
My full review should answer more of our questions as soon as Toyota hands me a week-long tester :-)

Would you be able to comment on the build quality? Reviews abroad say the doors sound like cans..:(
Because at that price range or even MUCH cheaper, other competitor with turbo or Electric motor or Hybrid DOES pull harder and this Yaris cross is lagging behind (which is to be expected as the Engine specs is really way behind. Competition is really good considering Toyota and Honda are now giving us their SENSING features which 5 years ago you wouldnt get on sub 1~2m Japanese cars.
I think this is great first car or who want to convert to hybrid with all the smart driving features. Not all car buyers are looking for power and wants to speed up on the road! This is good power for those who drive regular and daily city driving.

Which is better the white or blue one? Suggestions?
The White Yaris cross looks clean and fresh but in my opinion the blue with its midnight tones and almost sparkle finish looks quite fetching! - Roy

An itibari ile corolla cross bayilerde var. Fiyatlar uçtu maalesef. Yalnız bu araç yeni yaris cross ve ne zaman ülkemize gelir bilinmez.
It's a mini RAV4, and it's definitely lacking power. I guess that's the reason why its price is really low.
Like there isn’t enough other models out there if you want “power”. Not everyone thinks they’re Fast and Furious and needs power. Regular people just need to get to and from work and the grocery store. Not Eve is looking to show off to everyone else on the road who all couldn’t care less about you and your ego.
It's a bit underpowered but what can we say more....
