Seattle is a hell hole
I hate living here. We need COPS & repercussions for BREAKING THE LAW. Address the CRIME Mr. Mayor!
If you dont know why rent is so high, this raises rents a little more.
Soooooo glad I left Seattle decades ago !!!!!
yeah as semi driver taking away a lane for bike lane is some stupidest thing. Who ever does this take away your man card
As a biker we need more lanes. We should make cars use one lane and have two bike lanes as biking is cleaner for the environment. Plus one lane would increase carpool/public transport and work towards our goal of less solo drivers.
How do you think your groceries get here, hint: not on a bicycle
You couldn't pay me to ride public transportation, so unsafe in EVERY WAY!
Yeah I bet the businesses will hardly pay anything. This is going to fall mostly on homeowners like it always does and get passed on by landlords and businesses.
Why do people living in apartments get to vote? If their rent will rise, they should know how much, just as they tell homeowners how much their property taxes will increase.
We pay 30% in tax... can you spend the money we give you more efficiently???
If this levy actually went towards _actual transportation_ projects, I would consider voting for it, however 1) the money isn't going towards transportation projects (sidewalks?... wtf?), and 2) the City of Seattle ~AND~ the city's department of transportation has a SOLID track record of selling us (the public) on one thing, and then using the money for something completely else (bike lanes?... "road diets"?.... again, wtf!). Hey (city of Seattle), remember that slogan former mayor Nickels kept telling us, "get Seattle moving"? Well, how about timing the lights again and getting us back a progressive light system (like we had in the 80s and the 90s)? Do that FIRST and then we can talk about raising taxes!
Please explain to me how sidewalks, bike lanes and road diets are not considered “transportation projects”????
Mayor address the crime
Seattle leaders would rather raise your taxes than protect its people from crime and overwhelming homeless that dont even live here
Stop finishing and digging up madison every year!
For the love of God repave the roads around seattle!!!
Are there bike lane projects pretending to be bus improvement projects like the $120 Million RR-J boondoggle? If so, I'm voting NO. The project was cut from a "Northgate - Southlake" high-capacity project, to a "Roosevelt Rapid Ride" than ended at 65th. Now its just the Route 70 from 45th to downtown re-painted into a RapidRide. Oh -- and two curbside bicycle super-highway lanes on Eastlake Avenue -- at the expense any passenger, delivery driver or shuttle van stepping to the curb. Actual commerce gets dance through traffic to "protect" people on street-rented scooters not wearing helmets. Levy-funding of transportation packages locks Seattle into spending money on bad decisions. Please levy-fund by project, not by billion dollar packages hiding hare-brained half-baked wasted-money projects.
No way would I vote yes my property taxes have almost doubled in 12 years.
Money laundering. 1000% over cost.
More Taxes! VOTE NO!!!!!!!!!
