As hard as it is for Debbie to hear, a lot of people these days are raised by people who were present in the home, but not present emotionally in the way that kids need to develop healthy emotions and a healthy sense of self. That’s why Colt is also dealing with codependency. Recovering codependent 😊 people really don’t realize how emotional neglect can impact a child’s mind and it seems like Debbie needs a bit of an intervention on that front. Honestly, it's sad to see Debbie and Colte's relationship so strained. When Colte was first introduced on TLC, he was protrayed to be a huge momma's boy. It was sometimes weird, but sometimes wholesome. I completely understand and respect Colte's attempts to set boundaries with his mother, because that was clearly a long overdue necessity. But it's still unfortunate to see their relationship on a tight rope. One day, I hope that they can work things out.

Great point about women's body hair. I have the luxury of not being that hairy, but I'm not bald. I stopped shaving/waxing entirely several years ago and I can tell you that no man has ever either noticed or said anything, even when I brought it up. A lot of men really don't care, and some men do like the fact that women have a certain "smell". I'm not anti shave/wax, but an important thing for women to consider. It's costly and can be painful, and I'm not convinced its worth it. If a guy truly likes a woman, I don't think a little body hair is going to be a dealbreaker....
Personally I never liked shaving my body because I don't see the problem of having fur, the first time I shaved was because my twelve years old friends that time told me too. Natalie is very codependent, she comes across very much as a love addict with anxious preoccupied tendencies. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s dealt with some bit of abandonment or perceived abandonment in her life. Unfortunately this could be a really volatile energy in a relationship. She’s too needy. Like even the fact that she got mad he had to work was very unhealthy. It’s been two weeks, she shouldn’t be that obsessed. That’s not normal. That kind of indicates she is being triggered in someway into her subconscious programming.
Edit: Debbie is also codependent. Big red flag to move in with someone you’ve only met 3x. Lovebombers, I see lovebombers everywhere I look 👀 Part of the conflict between Colt and Debbie is that he finally realized how his codependency with his mom was destroying his relationships. He’s angry and resentful and I agree they need therapy. As hard as it is for Debbie to hear, a lot of people these days are raised by people who were present in the home, but not present emotionally in the way that kids need to develop healthy emotions and a healthy sense of self. That’s why Colt is also dealing with codependency. Recovering codependent 😊 people really don’t realize how emotional neglect can impact a child’s mind and it seems like Debbie needs a bit of an intervention on that front. Hopefully it doesn’t blow up in her face…but knowing this show lol…..

She has a ton of content on UA-cam. If you look up Dr Ramani "what makes a narcissist" and maybe "med circle," you will likely find info about raising kids and narcissism. She says narcissists are made and responsibility falls mostly on the parents,... even well meaning one's. She said that not all kids who experience the conditions that make for narcissism become narcissistic, but specific conditions are generally (if not cobsistently) present in people who do develop these traits.

Honestly, it's sad to see Debbie and Colte's relationship so strained. When Colte was first introduced on TLC, he was protrayed to be a huge momma's boy. It was sometimes weird, but sometimes wholesome.
I completely understand and respect Colte's attempts to set boundaries with his mother, because that was clearly a long overdue necessity.
But it's still unfortunate to see their relationship on a tight rope. One day, I hope that they can work things out.

Great point about women's body hair. I have the luxury of not being that hairy, but I'm not bald. I stopped shaving/waxing entirely several years ago and I can tell you that no man has ever either noticed or said anything, even when I brought it up. A lot of men really don't care, and some men do like the fact that women have a certain "smell". I'm not anti shave/wax, but an important thing for women to consider. It's costly and can be painful, and I'm not convinced its worth it. If a guy truly likes a woman, I don't think a little body hair is going to be a dealbreaker....
Personally I never liked shaving my body because I don't see the problem of having fur, the first time I shaved was because my twelve years old friends that time told me too. But then I realized that I just feel beautiful when I don't shave (like ewwww I felt like a newborn cat, so weird to me) and seeing me everytime in front of my mirror with my fur is normal to me. You can do whatever makes you feel beautiful and comfortable ^^
