To farm for more metal shards, just go to the hunting lodge where you have to use the thunderjaw's disk launcher to kill the ravagers, it's possible that you can make them repawn over and over again.
This method is efficient yet worth it

I got them as soon as I got to meridian. I made it a point to go through all the hunting challenges before going to that part in the story. I was disappointed at first because they were 3 weapons I don't use. But I figured out how to work them in and now they are always in rotation.

I was very early in the game and never picked one up. The Lodge one was the first one I got. I really didn't start applying elements to machines until after Meridian.
Matt's Reviews I was the same actually. I was using the blast sling to take out most things. At first I was dissapointed that there was not a lodge sharpshot bow. And I didn't use the rope caster much. But the combo and rotation of them all works really well when nodded.
I have 17 blazing sun and still have not received my weapons yet
I really like the blast sling but I prefer the tripcaster moded with damage for the blast wires. All you gotta do is use the lure command to bring enemies into the traps. I guess I just like it more because it can be used without you being noticed but if you have shield weaver outfit the sling is probably better. I just got the outfit a day or so ago so I guess I could switch back to the sling.
Sokioku I was a bit of a stealth loser the whole game. Apart from the Bandit Camps I was always being spotted. So the blast sling was my loud little friend.

LemonEatingKow I remember the 1st time I ran into that Thunderjaw, took me a good while to take it down but those weapons made it look like a watcher!!
U can do the same without the hunters lodge weapons. You just gotta shoot couple more than he did( of course shadow weapons at least

I just don't understand how this is a guide. All of this is incredibly easy information for any player to obtain without those "guide" deeming it unnecessary.
Irukandji It's just that, a "guide". I personally wouldn't of even bothered with the hunting trials if I didn't know about the lodge weapons.
