I like that in the original show that Tywin got angry at Tyrion for not controlling Joffrey, but later realized just how bad Joffrey was and how much Cersei undermined anyone trying to control him.
Being burned alive for the fire god? Stannis wouldve won the loyalty of every show and book fan if he pulled it off considering how much Joff was hated.
No the people wouldn’t have accepted an apostate as king. The faith militant almost overthrown the Targaryens who was only saved by their dragons. Also real historical examples like the Crusades shows how serious people take their faith!
@@TheLordRichard ASOIAF is surprisingly secular for supposedly being late medieval. Also depending on the original religion rulers from different religions were common and sometimes successfully converted the realm, examples of one or the other: India, the Golden Horde, and the early Muslim Caliphates. The last one includes regions like Egypt, which were mostly Christian, ruled for a prolonged time by a foreign religion and converting. You might argue that this was due to both religions being Abrahamic. But Zoroastrian Persia was successfully conquered and Islamafied so I fail to see the point. Stannis also mentioned himself as rather atheistic. Even if he starts seeing R'hllor as the true God I doubt he would become a true zealot. In short, depending on the circumstances, Stannis can pull it off, successfully rule himself, and start a future conversion of the realm.

I had an idea for one of these if you’d be interested: At some point in the timeline, Robert must have realized that Joffrey was a complete psycho. So what if at this point, Robert sent Joffrey to Winterfell to be Ned’s ward?
While he definitely would want Ned to make a better man out of Joffrey a more realistic option would be Tywin. Now it’s pretty clear to anyone that Tywin would use this chance to get as much influence over the future king as possible but one could also trust that he would take many precautions not to let his grandson become the next mad king. And this wouldn’t have the worst outcome, while Tywin is a pretty awful person he is a capable ruler and while in peace time his lands do flourish, if Joffrey’s reign would be more like Tywin’s then the seven kingdoms would be a much better place than in canon.
The production on all of these videos are excellent, and they're pretty well written in regards to most aspects except the mystical elements of A Song of Ice and Fire which go hand and hand with everything, even if its even more in the background then the intrigue. Like burning Jofferey with his King's Blood, or Mellisandre telling Stannis that if she was at The Battle of The Blackwater, she'd been able to deal with the wildfire. Again, I really do like these videos, they just have me thinking of other paths they could go, like Melisandre being able to see possible danger in the flames easier when its directed towards her and redirect it before it even happens.
For a moment I thought this would be a Battle of Ice type scenario where Stannis fakes his death to then trap and kill Tywin. But I guess not only a heavily wounded Tyrion managed to slip through an ongoing siege with no problem, but Melissandre couldn't predict nor plot anything through her flames. The wildfyre pots being handled by anyone but the Alchemists is a stretch, since every time they are assembled (even in the show), it is by people who know how to handle them and not kill themselves, and not some 20 good men type mercenaries. Lame.
FINALLY! A video that is actually much more realistic in its plotlines and "what if" scenarios for Game of Thrones. Everyone else just does the dumbest what ifs without taking into account a lot of different factors that were occurring within Westeros at the time.
Love your work! Some ideas -what if Jamie was tyrions champion during the trial of Joffreys murder -what if Ned gave Jon to Holland Reed -what if stannis awoke stone dragons on dragon stone (like the plan was with gendry) -What if Roose was loyal to Rob Cross over ones like your star wars content -what if Arya trained to be a sith (due to her hate and anger she could use that as fuel for the dark side) -what if Stannis found a gundam -what if the optimus prime and the autobots landed in the north during roberts rebellion
Im happy i found this channel. I've recently been getting back into Game of Thrones and loving every video you've put out. Plus, Stannis did what we all want to do burn Joffrey.
I see few problems with this theory, but overall it's pretty good: - With Tyrells not bending the knee the capital is still starving, creating a whole lot more problems - Robb Stark did not proclaim himself a king, but was proclaimed by his vassals. Him bending the knee is a political suicide that would end him. - Faith Militant would not be permitted to carry weapons inside the town, they were able to do so because in original timeline Cersei appointed them a police force and Sparrow was named High Septon. In this instance they would most likely not even be allowed inside the city. Besides that, I am unsure if faith militant would even have such a drastic response to Stannis immediately after his taking of capital along with added information that he was not oppressive faith of the seven, he just allowed altars of other god. - Tywin strikes back? Someday? Immediately even? I assume that Tywin could attack Stannis just after he won the initial landing as in the show but I guess the scenario is invalid when you consider this, so I completely understand the narrative of him backing away, but why is he never again mentioned? - Tommen surviving capture, Stannis said (paraphrasing) "All Cersei children are abominations, I will cleanse this court of filth as Robert should have done after Trident" - Tommen would have been executed very soon along with Myrcella after getting her (if we assume Dorne to cooperate, which I think all depends when Targaryens land, but I doubt that Myrcella in this scenario gets the throne, best case scenario is inheriting Casterly Rock if Lannisters get wiped completely, along with cousin branches.) Also Varys dies here. - I think that Sansa would survive, the executioner was to kill all women but Sansa fled to her chamber beforehand and Sandor came to get her. I find the idea likely that Sandor would be unable to escape in Stannis victory scenario or would decide not to seeing Executioner cut down women. I find it likely that if Stannis would have found Sandor protecting Sansa he would spare him, unsure though if he would be given the black or given pardon if he bends the knee. Otherwise I really like the quality of this video, although at some points I was considering these problems. Some are more impactful, some less. I love Stannis what if scenarios and this video gave me a lot of room for thinking.
Categorically this is your best vid yet and arguably a shocking apt ending for the story. General observation… You underestimate Tywin’s and the Lannisters in general in terms cunning and ruthlessness in most vids you’ve done… but you’ve absolutely crushed it here. 1000s of what if vids out there but this is a novel take on a popular concept. Looking forward to more. Time to move around Westeros a bit though
idk why i was so surprised that the special punishment for joffrey was to be burned. i would love for joffrey’s last moments to be shown with more detail. it’s just schadenfreude, really, but i want to hear what he says and does as he’s captured, stripped of his authority and dignity, imprisoned, sentenced, led to his execution, and finally put to death.
stannis wins no difficulty stannis will solo all 3 of daenerys dragons and will head up north claim an ice dragon and defeat the others again no difficulty
These videos are actually really good. Thank you! One question: do you think the forces in support of Tommen (and, indirectly, Tyrion) would be strong enough to force the Stormlanders, Dornish etc. into a position of surrendering easily to Tyrion’s terms? Tyrion might be offering Tywin’s head but he did just kill their king! And the sparrows and sell swords may be hard pressed to fight real soldiers! What do you think? Please keep up the great work 😊
From the first 3 minutes you already say unrealistic things : Tyrion not telling Tywin's that Tommen is alive and safe Robb bending the knee to Stannis, that would never happen
I feel like the smartest move from this point would have been to marry Tommen to stannis's daughter Shireen. Then even the people who don't believe in humans legitimacy would have no choice but to accept it due to the marriage of the only eligible baratheon daughter. Would Stannis allow this though? He doesn’t like the Lannisters very much and he knows Tommen is a bastard. A few alternative suggestions: - Rickon Stark (if he shows up on time) - One of Davos Seaworth’s sons perhaps - Robert’s bastard Edric Storm (a little less likely I think) - Loras Tyrell (much older but from a powerful house, and assuming the Tyrells haven’t sided with the Lannisters yet. It’s also worth mentioning they supported Renly, and Stannis doesn’t take kindly to treason).
Keep up the good work! Idea: what if inspiref by the pact of ice ans fire Rhaegar married Lyanna instead of Elia, who instead marries baelor hightower?
You're doing a fantastic job! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
I feel like the ultimate burn would've been leading up the immolation Stannis's men and Melisandre refer to the fallen king as Joffrey Waters, born a bustard in the crownlands.
Tbh, I don't know if fire would have killed Melisandra. We never got it explicitly confirmed that she was immune to it, but considering she was able to use some kind of magic ability to be immune to poison, something tells me she would not have perished in the explosion of wildfire. It would also be difficult to pull such a plan off without her catching wind, given she does have legitimate visions of the future, even if she's shit at interpreting them. Even so, this was really cool. XD and I love that Tyrion ends up destroying Tywin in the end, by giving all these different groups what they want. I.e. to kill Tywin.
Sansa would have survived, however Stannis would have kept her in King's Landing to try and make Rob bend the knee, after Stannis and Tywin are dead, Tyrion might have offered a different solution, allowing the North to remain free if Sansa marries Tommen, this would secure the North and Dorn through marriage pacts.
My idea for a what if: Season 1 episode 6 after ned is attacked by jamie he asks to go north to tell cat to release tyrion. Robert says no and to send a raven. Perhaps ned would have lived if robert had let him go
What if the Vale joined Robb Stark during the war of the five kings. Have the Blackfish take control from Lisa Arryn or something and gives Robb an additional 8 - 20,000 troops after the whispering wood and camps.
Davos would have recommended to have Joffrey not be executed, but sent to Robb Stark as an offering of peace. I know the result either way is for Robb to join Stannis but I find this more believable
I think the books and show fail to show how important religion was during the Middle Ages. Yes it’s a fictional world but it’s obviously inspired by our world’s history. And in our world it’s shown time and time again how important religion was for the cohesion of these past societies. Stannis has already burned religions icons that are practiced by the majority of people in Westeros. And neither Joffrey or Renly or anyone else fail to use this to rally support against Stannis.
I don’t think Stannis would kill Joffrey at that point. While he lives, the Lannister cause couldn’t crown Tommen and as Stannis held the capital and the “king”, it would undermine their claim.
What if Robb married frey What if Robb joind Stannis What if Stannis won battle of ice. What if Aemond killed Dameond What if greens won battle of ice. What if edmure killed mountain. What if renly joind Stannis. What if Vale joind Robb. What if joffrey survied. What if Tommen survied. What if Viserys invaded westeros with dohraki
Stannis executing Joffrey would be in character, but it'd be an absolutely imbecilic move politically as Tommen and Myrcella are unaccounted for, Tywin would just crown Tommen king and the war continues. Keep Joffrey alive, and he has a hostage and deals a heavier blow to the westerland army with each passing day, plus, he can appease the northmen with the posibility of executing Joffrey for the death of Eddard Stark. The Martells would be even more interested in joining Besides, I really don't think Tyrion would make the mistake of letting Tommen remain in Stokeworth, or Tywin for not having informants tell him of this very move.
If stannis wins at the blackwater the red wedding never happens. Tywin gets surrounded by robbs retreating forces at duskandale and his main force at harrenhall. Joffrey and every lannister are killed and possibly Sansa. Stannis and Robb possibly make peace. Stannis will want all the 7 kingdoms we don't know how Robb will react. Havnt even watched the video yet just wanted to tell my theory.
What if the son of maleys the monstrous maenar survived the blackfyer rebellion and for fun he can be played by Ian McAllen for fun sack and have a wonderful day 👍

The Martells would be even more interested in joining
Besides, I really don't think Tyrion would make the mistake of letting Tommen remain in Stokeworth, or Tywin for not having informants tell him of this very move.
Did you just do this one But with if rob won?

What if the marriage pact between Joffery and Sansa was never broken?
If stannis wins at the blackwater the red wedding never happens. Tywin gets surrounded by robbs retreating forces at duskandale and his main force at harrenhall. Joffrey and every lannister are killed and possibly Sansa. Stannis and Robb possibly make peace. Stannis will want all the 7 kingdoms we don't know how Robb will react. Havnt even watched the video yet just wanted to tell my theory.
What if another dragon lord family survived the Doom?
What if Renly didnt get killed by the shadows?
Why didn't Melisandra see any of this in the fire?

Dont agree with the end. Stannis isnt stupid, he'd have safeguards against that.
When did Sansa die
Battle of the blackwater
Black water is a Bay and not a River :)
What if the son of maleys the monstrous maenar survived the blackfyer rebellion and for fun he can be played by Ian McAllen for fun sack and have a wonderful day 👍
So this wasn’t what if stannis won this was what if Tyrion won
Stannis won the battle of black water :3
