This mashup is PHENOMENAL. We need more men singing and playing together in the open country. We used to just sing, and play and it would ring through the land. Never forget our culture was so much more rich.
I don`t know why the version they uploaded was recently taken down but thank god you have this uploaded here. I love this medley so much
Absolut best version of Tom Joad, and with my favorite musicians. A diamond.
For me this is the best, lol ua-cam.com/video/e9f-F1CAB24/v-deo.html
This medley introduced me to two epic songs by Woody Guthrie and the Boss. The subject is the Grapes of wrath and the Great depression of 1929. The movie is also epic.
Gotta love some Costello ❤️❤️❤️🤟🤟🤟🤟
Great song, fantastic version.

And what does he have to do with this video?
@@nataliedeshow768Writer of Do Re Mi.
Bob Dylan influenced by him. Total genious.
@@kimerikellingsen9975 sorry, didn't know Woodie wrote this but I do know who he is.
Oi oi oi . Thats´s the one.
Can't beat Woody Guthrie mashed up with the Boss.
Working class heroes, all. Playing out on the prairie, or is it Marin County?
Men walkin' 'long the railroad tracks
Goin' someplace there's no goin' back
Highway patrol choppers comin' up
Over the ridge
Hot soup on a campfire under the bridge
Shelter line stretchin' round the corner
Welcome to the new world order
Families sleepin' in their cars
In the southwest
No home no job no peace no rest
The highway is alive tonight
But nobody's kiddin' nobody about
Where it goes
I'm sittin' down here in the campfire light
Searchin' for the ghost of Tom Joad.............
Now Tom said "Mom
Wherever there's a cop beatin' a guy
Wherever a hungry newborn baby cries
Where there's a fight 'gainst the blood
And hatred in the air
Look for me Mom I'll be there
Wherever there's somebody fightin' for
A place to stand
Or decent job or a helpin' hand
Wherever somebody's strugglin' to be free
Look in their eyes Mom you'll see me"
The highway is alive tonight
But nobody's kiddin' nobody about
Where it goes
I'm sittin' downhere in the campfire light
With the ghost of old Tom Joad
The highway is alive tonight
But nobody's kiddin' nobody about
Where it goes
I'm sittin' downhere in the campfire light
With the ghost of old Tom Joad..............
I'm sorry, I can't figure out what the hell this is. It's a mish mash of something?????
The Ghost of Tom Joad, written by Bruce Springsteen, Tom Joad is a character in The Grapes of Wrath, written by John Steinbeck, about the Dust Bowl and the Oklahomans, whose farms had been foreclosed by the banks, so they headed for a new life in California, but things weren't so good there either.
Do Re Mi, written by Woody Guthrie, also about the Dust Bowl and what greeted people running to Californaia for a better life
"...welcome to Trump's new order..."
someone should tell them they're not american
