She caused Congress to look into monopolies of ticket sellers and forced the music industry to change the ways they do business and handle contracts with new artists. Essentially giving a voice to the artist so they can own their own work. I’m sure Amber didn’t read the article. But she should.

When I first saw Adam Driver, I thought he was unattractive also, and was quite surprised when it appeared that women did not agree. He has grown on me in that respect, but I mainly attribute that to the fact that I usually find familiar more attractive than unfamiliar. But it did mean I had to adjust my baseline for what I think women find attractive and maybe that is not a bad thing.
Definitely seems to indicate that what ads tell us women (who are not a monolith, of course, like everyone else) like is not the same as what women actually like. Which would suggest the same is true for men and probably any other given demographic, and also says a lot of concerning things about all the ridiculous "manosphere" influencers who seem sure they know everything about women despite never actually seeming to have met any. Good to be reminded of the difference between reality and the "here's why you have to buy everything" thoughtless panic-world advertising exists to create.

Yes, I hate the stereotype of what women AND men find attractive. I look nothing like the Hollywood/entertainment industry view of ideal. Except I am sort of thin (not teensy thin, American size 8 thin with a small chest). And I am 40. And have stretchmarks and some wrinkles and visible pores and I don't wear makeup. Yet I have plenty of men telling me I am gorgeous. And younger men finding me attractive. Not all men want women 5+ years younger, size 2, perfectly symmetrical features, etc. Some don't even find that attractive. It would be nice if we saw more diverse looks of all ages shown as beautiful and desirable in media. Instead of the different looking girl as some sort of quirky side kick or person that needs a makeover or whatever else. I think in general women have a broader range they find attractive than men, but again that is influenced by what I see as advanced by society. I think it probably isn't the case. Men and women have more similarities than differences. All the stupid self help books that try to tell us women and men are extremely fundamentally different are ridiculous. @@michaelccozens
