Heya, just discovered your channel, thank you for uploading. Do you have any tips on gomukhasana arms when one (the right one, in my case) shoulder won't allow the hand to come up the back as far as on the left? I showed a yoga teacher, but she just said I needed to lay on a block bcs my shoulder blades were budging out of my back...is there anything i can do to help mobility in this area?
I can get my legs ino this pose easily, but not my arms, when I need to extend the right arm up to meet the left arm coming down. The opposite way is ok.
Hi Rob! Honestly, I leave my arms out of this pose about 90% of the time... i like to place them behind me and gently push myself forward so I can help gently intensity the stretching in my lower body.
I have an injured inner thigh muscle that does not allow me to cross my right leg at this time, and definitely not to move my torso forward because any pressure on that muscle is very painful. Would you suggest I not do this pose until I can find out what's wrong with my right thigh muscle, or is there a way I can work up to this pose? I haven't found a doctor or physical therapist who will address it because of Covid.
Did we have to go for like 5000 extra minutes going into the pose ? if you can’t sit Indian style you don’t need to be doing this post so the answer is no we did not
And again fabulous teaching... Thank you :)

thanks for explaining this!
You got it!
I like to use a strap for the upper arm stretch. One side can easily do the stretch but the other side is so stiff my hands are far apart.
Unfortunately I can’t do this , this is 1 week that I tried but one hand has a lot of gap, the other hand is just tach my fingers
Sorry for the awkward question, but as a guy I find this pose very uncomfortable "between the legs", is there any special trick to adopt?

Left knee up then left hand should be up, not right hand
