I agree with him being an aggression favourite, but a protection brew I found interesting was using powerful punch alongside electrostatic armour and flow like water boosting it with his charges, With his staff and dauntless in play it pumps a crazy amount of damage out on the villains turn
Gambit is so much fun! And fairly powerful too, most likely in the top 50% of heroes for power. So much damage on demand and respectable thwarting - especially for a 1 THW hero. I actually think he likes all the aspects. Aggression has great synergy with his charges and Justice to reinforce his threat removal while maintaining great damage and defense. I actually like Leadership for him a lot too - his Rogue ally is so good as you say, and Leadership just lets you do more with it. I don't think it's any coincidence Med Lab was released alongside these heroes. Rogue all day. And Protection is fun too - don't forget to use Jocasta to grab Natural Agility from the discard pile, effectively giving three uses of it per deck cycle most of the time. Great video!
I haven’t played Gambit yet but Rogue has been interesting so far, she seems like her play style changes completely from solo to co-op. Really looking forward to trying out Gambit when I pick him up tomorrow! Thank you for this review, always love your content! Very informative and a joy to watch!
Haven’t used Gambit yet, but excited too! I’ve been saying since he was announced he’d be on of the most OP hero’s in game and I still believe it! Also, funny that he can be played the way Hulk should have been built…stay in AE and build up “angry” counters and then flip when enraged and deal a lot of damage.
Do you have to use the charge counters when paying for Rogue or do you just get the reduction AND keep the counters. It doesn’t really specify on the card.
I’ve only played Gambit a few times. Been playing non MC games (imagine that) and staring blankly into space a lot. That said he continues the trend of carrying very synergistic identity cards into a match. That necessarily reduces the influence of Aspects. Overall I like him in Aggression a lot. Is he S rank? 🤔 I don’t think so but maybe builders smarter than me will come up with something extraordinary. Slot him into high A rank and add a touch of chicory to your coffee
"If you're hitting a minion with tough, and it has 4 life, you're able to go through that tough and do damage to the villain." That doesn't make sense to me. The "ranged" does nothing, the "piercing" removes the tough, and then the 4 damage does 4 to the minion. There would be no overkill. Am I missing something or was this a mistaken statement? Thanks for the videos; just doing a sanity check. Thanks!

Thank you! And so many good points. I think there is so much you can play around with with the rogue ally. Such a strong card

The most important IS that pink color wich make him with nebula my favorit characters
Yes he is! 0:01
Gambit’s gameplay is ridiculously fun, in my opinion. Looking forward to trying aggression.

Reduce and keep. Don’t spend them

Discount cost of Rogue: do you have to spend/discard the charges?
Nope. Just gotta have them
