Great job Greg.....saving the original metal in this case was so much better than just throwing in new panels. Those new ones, as much as they cost should fit much better than that. But still easier than making them from scratch. Well Unless your the Stan from Nova Scotia barn door channel. He just makes stuff and it fits perfect and does it so fast. But I would like to see him make this curved stuff that fast. Not easy.
This type of body is like a Porsche 356; layers upon layers that tend to rust from the inside out. Very difficult work. I commend you for such great and carefully planned work. Hope this car ends as original as possible and not a pan scraper with a narrowed beam 😉
Wow, that is some craftsmanship. Good job on explaining your process. Wish you would have shown some of your welding process, it would be educational. That is going to be a nice body once completed.
I can't wait to see it completed. Hats off to you.

Great job. You've got some awesome metal skills.
You're bringing back all my memories of Ghia sheet metal issues. Great to see how well you tackled the challenge.

Excellent work Greg should name and Shane company’s in stopping people having same problem with these panels I’m in U.K. 👍
Waw! You, Sir, are a true artist... a jewler in fact. Whew!
perfect example of what patch panels are for Patching.... not putting in the whole thing necessarily
Yup when the old heater channels look that good, I would have patched them too. Those new ones were just hand made junk. Nothing was stamped.
Top work! How long did it take you in hours to do that side?
hi where did you buy those heatherchannels ?
WOW,, that rocker is a big piece of $hit.... I've dealt with aftermarket metal before, and that's the worst I've ever seen...
