Thanks for the review. Given the price of used bikes (like free) modifying one for cargo that isn't so unwieldy makes sense. I'm sure there are use cases for this super long design, but can't think of any. lol
True, I actually sold the trailer to guy who planned to fabricate it directly to his bike frame. I went to a 2 wheel trailer that I felt was a lot better to pull and didn't affect the handling as much.
This review steered me in the right direction. Thanks a lot. I have a non electric fat bike that I want to take on green single tracks; do you have any product recommendations?
Great video. What size is that rod that goes through axle? In your opinion. I ordered one and want to pull with my honda xr650l dualsport. Will it be OK on highway? I ride 95% on country roads. Just want a trailer to haul sleeping bag, tent etc. Thanks for your time.
Thank you and sorry I don't still have the trailer to check the size. I would be careful using bike bearings at highway speeds and check it after a few rides to make sure it is holding up to that.
I think that is a great idea, I have used a few trailers with two tires lately and those wheels are closer to the center, I think that's a better tire position. Thanks for the comment.
How far off are these from the ones used on adventure motorcycles. I cant imagine it needs more than a brace or two and a road rated wheel and tire. Thoughts?
Personally I wouldn't trust the build quality for those type of speeds. That being said I sold it to a guy who was going to chop it an reweld it, I can't even remember what for!
Shameless plug eh! :) I just have to comment that ANY ebike will do but it needs to have a rear quick release axle. You are correct that an ebike does handle the trailer weight better but none of my ebikes had a compatible axle for the video. If you'd like to send me one to put with the trailer, I'd be happy to show that.
I can't believe I forgot to include that, here is the link. eunorau-ebike.com/products/bike-trailer-single-wheel?_pos=2&_sid=329886596&_ss=r discount code "esurfer" can save you 3%.
I did take it over bumps, the suspension does help for that. I did not take it on trails as most of the ones I can ride have too sharp of curves for this long trailer. It is definitely an odd design.
I just purchase one of these. I do not suggest getting this. The first issue I had was that the cam that slides over the connection balls does not seat correctly. They tend to pop off. A product that is this expensive shouldn't have any engagement issues. That wasn't a problem. I 3d printed some parts to get this engagement to lock in properly and not have an issue of coming off while riding. I put on 35lbs of stuff on the trailer balanced from right to left, front and back, and found that this is so unstable. it is very dangerous. The bike would be pulled either to a hard right or hard left. I tried to bike as straight as possible. The fact that all that weight is balancing on 1 tire makes it so dangerous. I have 4 trailers of various 2-wheel designs and never had this issue on those. this wheel design is terrible and will cause serious injury.
Thank you, this is the kind of comment that helps everyone! I sold the trailer to a guy who was going to refab it into something else. After this one I went back to 2 wheel models!
I would not be surprised if they make a version for Quiet Kat, this is a huge ebike/accessory factory. I sold the trailer as it was just too big for storing.
Their parent company is BTN ebike, you might see if they have any outlets near you. www.btn-ebike.com/E_Scooter_116953.html You could also check aliexpress.
I purchased a similar, but smaller, trailer some years ago. These are cheap, Chinese made trailers. Out of the box, they are realy garbage. Do not even try to haul their claimed max load. In fact, trying to haul even half their recommended load out of the box for me I found dangerous. But they are recoverable. You will (not "maybe" but "you will have to") have to upgrade them on many parts. Maybe do some welding to get things fixed. But if you can do that, they may become your favorite trailer. They are fundamentally sound. They mosly fail in the connection points, bearings, etc. Those can all be corrected. The frame is sound so a good place to start. In some ways they are a DIY project, but not a very difficult one. Compared to other retail prices on similar trailers if you can get them fixed, they are still a good bargin at their price. If you do not want to DIY repairs, then the more expensive and out fo the box Topeak trailer or BOB Ibex as alternatives. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your honest review and pointing out some important details.
you got it!

If you mean trailer recommendations I highly recommend Burley's. I have a old dog trailer I got for cheap that I plan to convert to haul cargo. Cheers

Hola que gran trailer, cuánto cuesta con envío hasta Colombia ?
Why not a trailer with the tire i. The middle to support the weight

I have a dog. Lilly. Just like Rosie. And a bike trailer and a surron. Right on bro.
Awesome, do you do any trail riding with Lilly?
Yes. But I'm down for a minute. I went down injured knee in April.
122 miles on one battery charge. I have two batteries. So about 200 Miles a day. If I wanted too. About 20 amp 22- 25mph
@@alangoodrich6590 and that is with the Surron, wow!! maybe I need to check on of them out. Is the ride is more like a motorcycle than a bike?
@@ElectronSurfer
Yeah. Definitely. 72v is best. But it takes some time to upgrade. But you'll be happy either way. Just pricey.
thanks for honest info. saved me money. 👍🏻🍻
For sure, cheers.

@@ElectronSurfer thank you
That was kind of my thought but at the price of motorcycle ones and the lack of availability
the dog got off of the trailer when heard you talking about its quality
Haha she is pretty smart and discerning. 👍
You definitely need eunorau ebike to mount the trailer, regular bike is little heavy with fat tire trailer.

how's the rack holding up?
I don't have it anymore, the guy I sold it to was going to modify it and strengthen it.
where did u buy it? website please?

did you ever take it over a bump? on dirt? looks like a bad design really.

how we can buy in Europe?
I am not certain. BTN Ebike is the larger supplier of these white label style products to Eunorau and some other distributors.

thanks for sharing your experience. just saved me money.🍻
Damn that looks an awful like a quiet cat trailer... Don't you think it's a bit heavy??! There are lighter trailers available...

Isnt it $300 what do you expect
ok
too bad that I can't buy it in Europe

great for moving small bodies :)
Is this a question or statement born from experience?
Why are these trailers being advertised at 86.00 dollar's are these scams?
I have no idea, if it is from Eunorau it could be real? It's a lot of metal for $86!

all you had to do was take a turn and go over a bump
And what would have happened?
