Excellent instructions. I hope this will help me correct the installation that was done upon purchase of the tractor. The grass will not go up the chute. Cub cadet should include this video on disc with instruction manual. Great job!
A couple things will prevent grass from going yo the chute: clogged tube, low rpm’s (throttle should be on fast), do you have high lift blades (not mulching blades). Let me know if that helps brother. I wish Cub Cadet would recommend my video lol. Thanks for the support my friend.
I used your video for a reference today when I was putting my bagger together. It was helpful to make sure I was doing it correctly and had no problems. Thanks for making this video!
Awesome video. I got my bagger a couple weeks ago and using this vid, had it set up without even reading the assembly manual. One thing they may have changed recently is that the kit now comes with two carriage bolts for the leaf bag bracket (the piece shown starting around the 8 minute mark) so you can now use those upper two holes to secure it (seen around 08:50). I also ended up silicone caulking that top sight window into place to stop it spraying tiny bits of crud out around the edges. Thanks again for the instructions!
Glad to have helped brother. Thanks for the update and the silicone tip. I haven’t had any blow out from the window myself. Enjoy your setup my friend.
Excellent video. My bagger was installed by the tractor company, but has never worked properly, it constantly clogs up near the bottom. This video gave me enough information to fix it on my own. Thanks so much!
this was amazing sir, thank you. The other videos are pretty much guys reading the instructions in front of you and doing it which isn't helpful. You are the man, sir.
Awesome video. I lost my paperwork on the unit and had no idea how to install it. Naturally I took to UA-cam to find a video. I was really happy I found this as it showed it step by step and I was able to easily follow along. Great job 👏 👍
After reviewing three videos including Cub Cadet's installation, I was able to finally install my bagger. Thank you for the plain and simple directions for installing the Cub Cadet bagger. You increased my excitement for purchasing this tool. You explained the installation like I was a 3rd grader, which in my case, I was able to follow directions. Shame on you Cub Cadet for making your instructions so complicated, your directions could and should be as simple as MrV2u's directions!
With the small font and worthless manual instruction and three missing wing nuts, I thought it would take me hours to install. But I ordered the wing nuts to save time and put it off a couple days. After watching your video, it took me maybe 20 minutes. Thanks!
I truly appreciate the feedback brother. Glad to have helped you out. If you ever have any questions I’m always around for advice. Happy mowing brother.

Glad to hear brother. Thanks for the tips I’m sure someone will find that information useful. Enjoy your new setup my friend. It works good and I have no issues with it whatsoever.
Great video, just got that mower, and waiting for the bagger to arrive. Gotta get the leaves up at my new place. I think after watching this video twice I don't need the printed instructions. 👍
All good! I had one issue, most metric socket sets do not have 11mm. They skip it like it doesn't exist. LOL. Made sure on a new small set, and finished the job. 36 bags of leaves later, love it. Set my deck height to 3.5".@@MrV2u
@@danielwiniecki7855 good deal brother. The best thing is having a 10mm socket that engines eat. Ask any mechanic and that 10mm whenever you use it always drops in the engine bay and is lost forever lol. 36 bags man you broke that bagger in well. Enjoy your setup brother and thanks for the update.

Put it on in 30 minutes and I have one small confession. I looked at the booklet once to see why there was so much extra hardware to make sure I had not left something off. But as luck would have it… it went together like a dream and I have used it once already today. Funny how the hose and window turned green right away and were essentially non functional after less than an hour of run time. I would rather have a spinning wheel like my old Bagger that let you know the air was spinning it and therefore not plugged in the chute.
Hi, This is a great instructional video! Should one remove the Bottom half tubing whaen using the cadet for snow plowing? Would love to see instalation video of the snow blade. Thanks again!

@@MrV2u Sorry I’m not in Australia, or Thailand right now. My wife is in Thailand with the Rover Rancher mower. I am in Kansas. She’s at 19° north latitude above the equator. So she’s experiencing monsoon season right now from the eastern Indian ocean. It rains so much that our grass grows about 6 inches a week. And with so much rain it’s hard to find a moment when it’s dry enough to cut.
@@1PAHero I see now lol. When I lay down fertilizer my grass grows like crazy. We been having one weird summer in New York with all the rain too. I’d rather the rain than the extreme heat the rest of the country is going through. It would be great to visit Thailand or Australia one day. I love taking photos and I’m sure there is plenty to see in those country’s. Stay safe brother.
Even though I normally mulch, Cub Cadet has a poor mulching kit. The plug always clogs up with grass, you will continually be bombarded with grass clippings the entire time. I highly recommend saving your money on the mulch kit and go for the bagger. My first time using it was awesome. No more clippings every where and picks up leaves like a champ. Fall time will be a breeze this year for me. If you previously installed a mulch kit (plug and blades) you will have to reinstall the high lift blades that came with the tractor originally. I used the mulch blades with the bagger and they did thee job, but not the way it should. It lacked in suction power for pine needles and pine cones. I will reinstall the lift blades and update this post. Let me know your thoughts fellas!
Thank you for the video and the heads up on having to change the blades to high lift if using the bagger. Did the mulch kit do a good job of mulching the grass? Besides the plug allowing grass to blow out? I think Consumer reports said it was rated 'very Good' for mulching grass. Thank you. Joe
Besides the grass blowout from the plug, the mulch blades work great. If you do add the mulch blades and then switch over to the bagger, the mulch blades will still do the job. I’ve tried the bagger with the mulch blades and really can’t see a difference. Maybe a little struggle when I dethatched my yard. You can see it in my dethatching video. Thanks for the feedback my friend.
@Bill Smith it really depends on what you want to do with your lawn brother. Some times I throw the mulch plug back on and cut the grass as is since it grows so fast during the summer. You’d have to cut it twice a week up here.
Very helpful. Everything perfect. My only issue and I am still working on it the hose assembly. Can't seem to get the hose on the boot. Also, I have a 42 inch and it seems like the hose is too long. I will continue to try. Thanks for the video
Don’t be afraid to man handle that hose brother. Make sure it’s seated all the way into the top of the bagger, it will be tight the first couple times. The hose is the same length for the 42 and 46. Let me know how you make out brother.
I’ll do a update video soon my friend. But it works amazing. Picks up everything from grass, pine cones and needles, and every type of leaf in my area. Leaves the grass pretty spotless.
I bought the same one for the same exact tractor club cadet. Then when I would run it the plastic tubing would come off. Maybe I did not screw it in like you did. I will try again. Thanks.
Thank you for your straight forward descriptions of this installation. I started with another installation video but realized it must have been an older version o& the bagger. You helped me immensely. Thanks.
I’m so glad that I helped you out brother. Thanks for the feedback it means a lot to know I helped someone out. Enjoy that bagger system. So far it’s doing good. Hope it last a long time.
Thanks for the video! I looking at a new Cub xt3 tractor with the new style bagger system. I have the 50"older style black chute triple bagger and it clogs up really easily.. hoping this new style works much better!
I can’t attest to the older style system, but this one here works very good. I have no issues with it and it’s holding up well. I do wish they used thicker plastic on the housing but it’s ok for now my friend. Glad you liked the video brother.
Wow excellent presentation. It was very instructive. Maybe I could ask this question: Does this bagger system select by itself what bin is using first or detect when is full? Thanks for your answer and presentation
Not a problem my friend glad to help. The left bag fills up first and then it spills over into the right bag. The only way to know if it’s full is to reach around and shake it. The sight window on top of the bags get pretty useless after time goes by. Hope that helps my friend.
I appreciate this video so much. As a recent widow I am new to mowing and so happy to find this video! I was wondering if I need to take the whole thing apart if I want to mow sometimes without the catcher. I was hesitant to just take the tube off as I had a hard time threading the top part in. Any suggestions?
Glad to have helped you my friend. I’m sorry for your loss as well. You can leave the bags on and either unscrew the clear tube which will get easier to do as it wears in or you can take the bottom chute out whichever you find easier. I have a couple other videos on my channel for this tractor if you’re interested in. Any questions I’m always here for advice. Good luck and happy mowing.
Thanks for the reply. I just took the bottom of the tube off and the big plastic piece that it attached too where the debris shoots out. Then I bungeed the tube up a bit so it doesn't touch the tire. I'm going to mow tomorrow and see what happens! I'll look for more of your videos
Great Explanation! I have the CC tilt cart that connects by the hitch to the tractor. To continue to use the cart, how much does the bagger frame have to be disassembled?
Even with high-lift blades, mine clogs all the time. Constantly. And when it does actually work, I get one or two passes down my lawn before I have to empty the thing. It needs to be a lot bigger, this thing doubles the time it takes to do my yard.
The only time I have issues is when I let the grass grow way too long, otherwise I haven’t had any issues with it whatsoever so ever. Bagging leaves in the fall is the same, too much and it clogs.
John B. You’d be amazed at the suction that bagger does. Turn it on in the living room and you’ll have no dust bunnies anywhere in sight. It’s also good for plumbing clogs as well.
Stupid question but are the blades spinning? If so do you have the blades spinning at full power? Do you have mulch blades installed or the regular high lift blades? Was the grass wet? All could effect the bagging system! Let me know if that helps.
@@MrV2u the blades are the blades that came with it. I know I need new blades. It was at full power. Blades were spinning. I was just trying to wait to put new blades till I get this one last piece of property mowed that I have been cleaning up. I guess maybe the blades could be affecting it? I bought new blades, but they are the mulching blades. Which are better for the baggng system? Thanks again fior your help. 😊
@@cherylepstein5593 the high lift blades that came with the mower are better than mulching blades for bagging. I been using mulching blades because I don’t always bag, but come fall I’ll switch over to the high lift blades. Dull blades should have no Ill effect on the bagging system. How about this a lack of air movement due to grass buildup under the mower deck, clogged blower tubes. Disconnect the flexible hose and see if you have a clog. I have in my mulch kit install video how to change the blades if needed. Let me know how you make out.
very nicely explained..I bought this item home depot, mayagüez, puerto rico..two months ago, priced at $475, 11.5 tax included... been very sick, COVID..fully vaxed.. opened box..all ok.. my only complaint is that whole item seems to me that on behalf of manufacturer, little effort was made to produce a quality, sturdy item..looks very *cheaply* made, BUT priced high to customers..
It doesn’t feel like much for sure but I can honestly say I haven’t had any issues with any part of the setup. The flexible hose held up just fine and the thin plastic all over hasn’t cracked. I put it though heavy use as well with no issues. Glad you got over Covid hermano. Avísame si tienes alguna pregunta. Siempre estoy cerca para pedir consejo, hermano.
I should try and sell it for 450 for inflation. Lol let’s go Brandon. Your very welcome my brother. It’s really a good bagger. The sight window doesn’t do much after the first couple uses.
Excellent video! I understand the reg blades are preferred but can I leave the mulch blades on until I have it in the shop for a tune up and they can change the blades?
Absolutely brother, I got a video on how to tune it up as well on my channel. It’s not that bad a job to do yourself. And I show you how to replace the blades as well in my mulch kit install. Basic hand tools and you can do it yourself and save some money. Let me know if you have any questions.

To fix the mulch plate use zip ties:

Good info brother, thanks.
Awesome video, thank you for taking ur time and being thorough, very detailed which is hard to find now-a-days, Cheers from Northern B.C. Canada
Thanks for the love my friend, glad to help out. Enjoy your new setup. Any questions I’m always around for advice.
You did great job in explaining how to do it. Thank you. I wanted to see how you run it cutting grass.
Thanks.
@@52Mirza let me know how you make out.
Hey man thank you! This helped me 100% for my install on my 46”
Glad to help my brother. Thanks for the feed back.
This is going to help me out alot bc i get my bagger system on Saturday from the dealership
Your going to love it brother. If you have any questions hit me up. I’m around to help. Thanks for the feedback.
Excellent instructional video. Thank you!
My pleasure Rich, thanks for the feedback. Enjoy your new setup.
Thanks bro.. got mine on tonight with your video.. appreciate you
Cool brother glad to have helped out. Enjoy that setup, it works very good so far.
100% helpful. Very thorough, much appreciated!
Your very welcome Richard. Thanks for the feedback.
Great Job, very straight forward and right down to business.
Thanks for the feedback my friend. Truly means a lot.
Great video. Need a tripod but I do enjoy the "kinda hard to do one handed but it is what it is" haha so I'm conflicted haha
I have my kids manning the camera now lol. So expect better videos coming soon my friend. Thanks for the feedback.
I'll be watch this excellent video when I assemble the unit!!

Thank you so much. It was very helpful and much better then the instructions that came with it. 😊
@@dalegeyer4407 sure thing my friend glad to help and enjoy your new bagger setup.
Thanks!
Your very welcome TL. Thanks for the support. It means a lot to me.
Does the hose lock into place on the lower end? Thanks for explaining the bagger assembly. A thumbs up for you…
Thanks my friend. The hose just sits over the lower chute. It won’t come loose as it goes over quite a bit. Let me know how you make out.
Thank you so much! You did a fabulous job explaining everything 👍
Thanks for the awesome feedback, if you ever have any questions I’m always around for advice.
Thanks for making this video, this really helps a lot. Great explanation 👌
You are very welcome brother thanks for the feedback. Enjoy your setup.
Thank you for taking the time to do this… you helped me a lot my brother

Great Video, love the details, surely helped! Impressive that you did it all one handed as well. lol.
Lol i try brother i try. Glad it helped you.
Best instructional video I’ve seen. Nice!
Thanks for the feedback brother. Enjoy your new setup. Mine is still holding up perfect besides the hose is no longer clear.
Thanks again!
@@MrV2u thanks again for your answer.
Perfect Directions. Thanks man!
You are very welcome my friend. Enjoy your new setup.
Great Explanation! I have the CC tilt cart that connects by the hitch to the tractor. To continue to use the cart, how much does the bagger frame have to be disassembled?
The entire bagger setup has to come off brother. Once you done it a couple times it’s super easy to put on and off.
Great video on installing bagger. Thanks
You got it brother. Enjoy your setup.
Thank you. Video was very helpful.
Glad to help, my friend.
That's cool, i just bought the 42" version. Same one i think.
Glad to help, 42 and 46 is the same unit. Let me know how it goes.
Awesome job !!!!
I wonder if my wife will let me vacuum the house with my rider now that it sucks and bags so gooder !!!!
John B. You’d be amazed at the suction that bagger does. Turn it on in the living room and you’ll have no dust bunnies anywhere in sight. It’s also good for plumbing clogs as well.
Thanks, I just got my mower and bagging system. This is way easier than these instructions.
Your very welcome brother. Enjoy your new setup. If you have any questions I’m always around for advice.
Thanks for the video i got my bagger done
Awesome brother. Thanks for the feedback.
Best instruction ever!! Thank you!!
Your very welcome Cheryl. Thanks for the feedback.
@@MrV2u hey there.. so I connected everying right, but it's not picking up the grass. Any suggestions?
And your video saved the day! Thank you!
Glad to help, thanks for the feedback my friend.

Thank you. This was perfect.
Truly appreciated enjoy your new setup.
very nicely explained..I bought this item home depot, mayagüez, puerto rico..two months ago, priced at $475, 11.5 tax included... been very sick, COVID..fully vaxed..
opened box..all ok..
my only complaint is that whole item seems to me that on behalf of manufacturer, little effort was made to produce a quality, sturdy item..looks very *cheaply* made, BUT priced high to customers..
WOW, you paid $370 and now it's $461. Everyone is ripping us off. Thanks for the video.
I should try and sell it for 450 for inflation. Lol let’s go Brandon. Your very welcome my brother. It’s really a good bagger. The sight window doesn’t do much after the first couple uses.
Wow you paid $461 it’s now $579. & you’re right we’re getting robbed! 1:16
Mine is still holding up just fine. It’s crazy how everything is getting so expensive nowadays.
Thank you for making it easy

Great video, helped me install now problem
Thanks for the feedback brother. Glad I could help now enjoy your new setup.
I’m running mulch blades on mine with the bagger no problem. I like to mulch sometimes and bag other times depending on the length of the grass.
Just an FYI Mr 2u - I’m a female! Lol
