Tip: In that race event with the unique Thunder-Rodd, just throw a molotov exactly to the car you want and the driver will come out making you available to drive it(I just discovered that glitch just recently back then)
I take back my comment, words of advice to EVERYONE! Push the Exsess using another vehicle further into the water, that way the game registers the vehicle as "damaged", but don't push the vehicle too far, only far enough so that the waves of the lake go just beneath the roof of the Forelli Exsess, and it should work, also, please bare in mind the weather; if it's miserable, wait until it's sunny before you damage the first vehicle to get the gang's attention :-)!
It is kinda useless to have a fireproof vehicle. Nobody except the protagonist will use Molotvs outside a mission. PS: One of the Stallions in "Grease Sucho" (the red one) also has a unique color scheme (red chassis with a red soft top). There is also another red Stallion ingame, but this one has a blue soft top.

actually, in the mission walking in the park (sorry if i made mistake), there are an sentinels there are damage proof when on the mission, but it body is tanker, u can take it from that mission, it colour is green. sorry for my bad language.
For the Rhino on 14:49... All the tanks in LCS are bullet proof and explosion proof... The two ways tanks can be destroyed causing them to catch on fire and explode is to set them in fire and crashing enough times.
It's unique because it is shown as BP EP PP in the game files,but all tanks have the effects of BP EP and PP thus making them useless - althrough it's still a unique vehicle because the data in the files is unique
It loses it's special abilities though. the AI racing cars have special abilities so they don't get damaged when hit, so you don't falsely lose the mission (basically anti-frustration methods put in by the developers).

This is just the tip of the iceberg. There a lot more superior vehicles. Also, McAfrrey's Banshee can also be obtained in AP/PP/H form with the use of OM0, but it's definitely worth it.

There's another way to get the special Thunder-Rodd: chase and steal it right after winning the race. I don't know if it'll keep it's immunities but you get the car.
Wow I remember getting that thunder rod but I didn't know it was fireproof. I put both that and the bullet proof PCJ into my garage but the PCJ disappeared :(

For car salesman u can avoid water trick... Select the car u want... Just when u sit, leave the car and repetively press traingle to get in as soon as u can.. that black wont appear. Only the words mission failed will appear.. thats how i got mine
For the Thunder-Rood & Stallion, all you have to do is ram the door to the passenger seat and get inside the car, then do the water method. Its that simple. No need to waste hours pushing it to the water.
To get JD's Rumpo there is no need to destroy the van just complete the mission and u will get the fireproof van i tested it on psp and it works idk if it works on ps2

I then hopped in the passenger side and Sucho teleported out of the car and away. I ran over Sucho with his own car, resulting in mission failure, and still had the car. I'm gonna try and see if I can have two Thunder-Rodd(s), so I can have one for the car-azy give away and another to keep 🤘🤞
But are the special properties of the said car still remain? (I just found my 11 year old PSP and planning to 100% complete the game again but with special vehicles in my garage)

I kept my black bulletproof & explosionproof Cheetah in my garage on the Second island along with my exclusive black Sentinel. Then I used it for the race "Wi-Cheetah run" & before that, I did this glitch where you give your car a damageproof feature. When I race & crashed my Cheetah, the damageproof feature is gone so after winning I did the glitch again. I started to realize "What if the other features are gone as well?". I decided to shoot my Cheetah then it exploded. It was the biggest mistake in my life. A waste of potential for what I've done to achieve it's features. I'm really disappointed. I've even gave it damageproof upgrades. Here's a tip: Never use a car with special features in missions or side-missions or otherwise the features will be permanently removed.

But wait...I know it's old and stuff, but the Rhino has always been BP and EP. Any regular Rhino is, so the one from Shogun Showdown doesn't make any exception. The only good thing about it is you can have the tank without cheating before you get 100% completion.
You can get a Rhino early in the game, even without unlocking the 2 islands. All you need to do is go to Shoreside Vale and then activate the side mission AWOL Angel. Kill the driver and then go back to Portland. Afterwards cause some mayhem that will grant you wanted level and will increase it up to 6 stars. Normally at the start of the game you're only limited to 4 stars but with AWOL Angel you can have the Army at your ass at the very early stages.

I think Hunter helicopter is worth mentioning as a special vehicle. It is very easy to obtain.

In Grease Sucho, I got the open door trick when the Thunder Rodd was in the finish. Sucho just disappeared when I open the right door.

A way easier method for dealership cars is to use the wanted down and locked cheat then shoot any customer and then take any car you want and save
So this game has only one vehicle worth its hassle but it's a pretty good one - the Forelli ExSess. It's like Sultan from SA perfomance-wise
