First time viewer and in another life a Prime driver, now O/O. Although you are correct regarding the outlook of trucking, being the longest 'recession ' in rates and no blue skies ahead yet ( we follow Freightwaves too) you are perhaps misled by Prime as to the current market. Prime is a master at snowballing drivers, to them it's just business but take a step back. You should not be taking load for $1.40 rpm! Reefer is no where near that low, per FW. Dry Van is around $2.10 on a bad day and reefer should be $2.50 especially when Prime has contracts. We suggest that their story of needing more drivers is a bogus one meant to placate drivers which is what they do best. We left years ago because if you're not a trainer you won't make money as a whole. You should not be sitting, nor taking such low rates if you are O/O or lease. Prime has all the bells and whistles entering the field, but it's frankly not honest with their drivers. They would absolutely be able to 'pick up' failed reefer companies without churning out inexperienced drivers. Lastly, the buzz on trucking social media is that y'all are leaving in droves due to driver facing cameras, which the vast majority of drivers agree you should. But I digress, the reason rates will not pick back up IS the glut of drivers out there, many, many non-English speaking immigrants. That, and co-brokering, double brokering and no transparency. Too many fingers in the pie. Biden's policies have run the country into the ground and who knows if we will recover?

There's nothing wrong with being proud of the company you work for that helps provide a roof and helps feed your family. Nothing at all is wrong with that. Im sorry the freight market is ruff right now.

I quit Prime running a team truck 2 years ago... went local.. make the same money... work 58 hours all on clock... not faking like I did with Prime working crazy off hours.. all they gave us were loads that could be handled by one driver... I saw the signs on the wall... quit while you can... :)

Jim Rohn said it well...in the last 6 thousand years of recorded human history...spring always follows?...winter. Unfortunately, when the last spring arrived in this arena...many didn't prepare for the sure return of winter.
Last four days...daily 2-hour brisk walks...and 7 to 8 hrs of sleep to recover (and tomorrow looks good for another work out, too). Another one of Jim's: Don't wish it was easier, wish you were better. Don't wish for less challenge, wish for more wisdom. And the "you" he is speaking of is a universal "you" meaning all of us.

Here’s a question why is a certain company seem to be staggering their loads meaning every load has a day or so to pick up yet I know their are loads being picked up every single day.
I’m not gonna put the company on blast, but let’s just say the average miles for a team/training truck Fleet wide has dropped 1000 to 2000 miles per week From what it used to be
