Have had three Agiles and LOVE them! The build-quality is GREAT, they are feature-packed at an affordable price-point, and the customer experience from Rondo has been outstanding. Great vid, thanks!
I just got mine today and I’m actually surprised by how good it feels. I would replace the strings with something thicker because they’re woefully thin
The Agile line of guitars consistently have some of the finest finishes and color options of any guitar maker. I have owned many and each was perfect. Not really good but perfect.
I haven't recieved mine yet, but i have played their baritone walnut tele and it is absolutely amazing, especially with the added evertune bridge well worth the money hands down
Kick ass riff man. I have a agile 2500 single cut. It was pretty heavy and fell off my wall. The whole hanger pulled out of the wall and wen I got home the hanger and the guitar was on the floor. Some damage but still playable.
These intrigue me...not 100% on spending 1400 on an Agile. Although I have never had a bad experience with any Agile,I never expected much due to price. Once you break that 1k mark,my expectations go up quite a bit
That was my thought, exactly, when I ordered a custom Agile about 9 years ago. It cost me $1160 shipped, with case. Over the last 9 years, it has proven to be a better guitar than my $4K Gibson Axcess Custom. Absolutely worth it.
I agree man, the 26.5 on the low end is something you rarely see on fanned instruments from the meta companies. A welcome addition, I'd just recommend waiting until they beef up production on this model for more options and maybe a lower price point to add (or finding this one used)
Great review Hunter! I love my Agiles. I have a CSB AL flame top with EMG 81/85 that they offered about 6 years ago. It is an awesome guitar and quality as good or better than my LP Standard. My only gripe with Rondo is that I wanted to buy another guitar about a year ago and asked for some photos of the tops so I could pick the one I wanted. I was told they can't do that (even after I told them I'd go ahead and pay them full price before selecting the one I wanted). If Kurt and crew could fix that, I'll buy more. Since you have their ear, please pass that on for us. Rock on bro! 🎸😎👍
For that money, you can custombuild a made in USA Kiesel Aries 7 multiscale, which this here clearly ripps off eh.. I mean takes inspiration from.Hell, you will end up paying less,if you keep the specs simple! Or you can get a similar, production model from Ibanez(which has Fishman p/u's),Schecter or ESP/LTD
I agree. You cannot beat kiesel, especially if you spec responsibly. As tempting as it is to make a guitar that is amazingly gorgeous, something simple from them is hands down the greatest thing the Money can buy.
Yea i agree. The roasted maple neck is nice but the rest is pretty underwhelming. Also....EMGs in 1.4k instrument? C'mon. Most guitars at that range are sporting Fishman Fluences which are BY FAR the better option. If the guitar was about 1k I'd think it was a decent choice but even then...it's still an Agile and the resale on em is kinda shit. For a few hundred more you can get into a KM7MKIII which just blows this thing out of the water. The Agile doesn't look like a bad instrument, just an overpriced one
@@ultimomos5918 I've seen B-Stocks of this line go for under 900 bucks which is where I think they'd be a good buy. $1400 is too steep for an import model with low resale value. And for me that also applies to the new KM MkIII models, especially given all the shoddy quality control I've heard from them.
It looks like a $1400 guitar. Beautiful. However, I thought the same thing as you - it would have been nicer to have a matching head stock and locking tuners.
Anybody know why open gear tuners are considered a premium feature on guitars? I mean, they look cool, but wouldn't the exposed gears get a bunch of dirt and residue over time that would affect their performance?
Adam Golden takes weight off the headstock, and honestly the amount of dirt that gets in there makes no difference...unless you give your guitar a mudbath...
$1400?!?! Noooooo. I would rather buy a Kiesel or Ibanez prestige for that price. I don't know what Agile is thinking. Going from their core line which runs $500 max to adding an additional grand to this line. Not for me, no thanks!
Any kiesel you could get for $1400 would be a bare bones basic as hell build. This agile is a top spec instrument and still represents decent value, even at $1400
Hunter, maybe u need to review E-II in 2019. Any model is fine. Because I want to know your opinion about price vs spec and quality of E-II compared to other brand especially like agile custom here.
To be fair, it’s not exactly Agile’s fault. They only ship out of the US which is so stupidly expensive for some reason. It’s why when I sell guitars or do the Patreon giveaways it’s USA-only. Even shipping a merch t-shirt, a freaking t-shirt costs almost $15 for international. It’s ridiculous, so shipping an AL-3200 that weighs about as much as a small boat anchor is gonna be ridiculously expensive lol
@@agufish In Europe we have Solar Guitars by Ola Englund, you should definitely try one for sure, they are priced from 599-1199€ and the more expensive models come with an evertune, stainless steel frets and neckthru design!
I like what agile is doing here but with that pricing they're moving into a much more competitive market. At that range there are some very good options, often sporting much better pickups and hardware. At 1.4k you could also build a moderately specced Kiesel. If pricing were closer to 1k I'd consider it. Also, probably just me but I think that finish is just kinda lazy for a guitar at that price range.
Kiesel would be the better option if you are in that price range and if you want more options, premium woods, finishes, build quality, durability and features.
Nice guitar but I'm more likely to stay in the 499 to 899 price range for buying guitars. Me personally I find more to my liking in that range . Plus my wallets not that big. I would be hard pressed to come off 1500 for any guitar.. It is a nice guitar tho.
Welp, your intro got me to do a spit take...a $1,400 *production* Agile? IMO, they can keep the maple cap. At that price, the guitar needs to be *loaded*. Something better than EMG 808/707 (e.g. Fishman, Bare Knuckle, Lundgren, or at least some of the TW or X EMG's), and some additional electronics (e.g. coil split, DB boost, series/parallel, piezo)...and yeah...wtf is up with the headstock veneer not matching the body cap?
@@dhonnar thank you. I figured but maybe I wasnt paying too close attention to the other multiscale instruments because I thought they were mostly the same size lol thanks again for educating me.
That rhythm tone really doesn't sit well in the mix. Too muddy and not cutting through enough. Not sure if that's due to the tone you dialed in or the guitar itself.
I consider it a little overpriced, had seen similar guitars from them around $900-$1000... Looks weird having an 808 at the bridge and a 707 on the neck. Either way, love your playing as always, Hunter.
oh boy... another multiscale guitar with straight pickups at an angle so the pole pieces don't line up with the strings... although that 8 string pickup would work out if they angled it right but that neck pickup is just...damn why you doing that?
Hayden_H the rails literally extend to the furthest edge of the pickup. Besides, the output of EMGs negates that as a problem anyway. May be a problem for other pickups, especially passive, but not these :)
New Year's resolution: Have a proper upload schedule. Let's see if that works out lol

I bought my first Agile AL-2500 in 2005, and to this day it's my favorite guitar. I love that they are getting attention on your channel. :)
That thing is beautiful. Im totally gonna get one of their les paul copies. Btw youre a great player and keep killing it!
Might end up ordering one of these this year tbh. I didnt even know about Agile starting a custom line until you uploaded this! Thanks Hunter!
Awesome guit-fiddle. Agile’s seem sick. I’d love to get my hands on one of their 30” scale 8 strings.
Love the opening jam and always love to see solid work come out of the non-"standard" Gibson, Fender etc. Excited to see where Agile goes next!
Great demo song! Really nice riff!
dug the string arrangement at the end!
Loving that Canon on the neck pickup.
I almost bought this over a jericho prism 7 multiscale, glad to see you like it though
