I spect that cleared out camp is gonna be where the sieges will be in chapter 3. Stuff there now is the beginning of their building. Maybe see more there in chapter 2 🤔. Thanks for the video....
Good Overview, had a bit of a play myself, like the changes even though the Stam drain is hard. Summoned in a Arena Champ, lol no more stun lock for extended time, still doable but lot more running away to regen stam. Be interesting to see once goes live as they will tweek it all from feedback til then
I'm looking forward to some interesting time with the treasure stuff, and the customizing of the emblem. I'm kinda on the fence with the combat changes though. I'll have to see how it comes out in the wash. Not a fan of the inability to repair legendary items. Thanks for checking out the special items like nemedian helmet. I feel it's a shame they went this route.
I have pretty much always taken at least 2 perks in stamina, so I doubt I will be as effected as others in worrying about my build. I am sure many players will be annoyed by it because they hate the idea of change. I like the idea that you really have to plan which perks you need vs want for your play through. With thrall hit multipliers increasing, the corresponding slight reduction in HP isn't horrible. Many who play now don't even know about how thralls weren't even leveled. You would just go get your Beserker and put him down on the ground and that was it, he had about 5K hp and hit like a truck with a 3.75 modifier. Dalinsia had 7K and 3.7 so was the best thrall period but was very rare. The game has evolved and will continue to. The balance between pvp and pve is always going to be tricky and draw ire from both sides. That is what compromise is. You get something in the middle and nobody is happy. Because complainers are going to complain.
Heavy Attacks now apply their status effects on every hit, not just the last one. Shortswords also apply bleed on Heavy Attacks, so there's actualy an incentive now to do more than just pokey pokey mates. The durability changes are the major downside and what's really tainting this patch. Doesn't matter how much durable a Legendary item is, you'll go through the trouble of finding it and when you finaly do after 100+ tries, you realize you're gonna lose it eventualy and probably don't wanna use it. I get it's a survival game and nothing should be permanent, but Legendaries at least should be unbreakable just for the sheer rarity.
Legendarys aren't that rare, have like 4 chests full on Exiled lands on Official and I only went back on official for Chapter 3 to help my clan rebuild. Not being able to do some repairs is dumb though. f they make them truly Legendary again it will be good, currently once you get a Bladesmith its better to make weapons then use Legendarys
@@DropB3arZ It's not the rarity that's the problem, it's the rng when looking for a specific one. I also have chests full of legendaries all because I wanted mistmourne. It took me a lot of kills for one to drop and just thinking to have to go back to that grind is just making me consider if to keep playing or not.
So legendaries will slowly and unavoidably break. Just great. Who would want to grind for hours for a specific legendary like the shields if they won't last forever? Sometimes people forget it's still a videogame, some things don't have to be hyper realistic.
Looks like we will just use high level epic gear (star metal/obsidian/etc) for normal day to day stuff and keep the special legendaries for the harder content. I my last 3.0 play through I did take down the Arena Champion (hardest boss in the game) with a Star Metal short sword 😎
@@AngaarUK Yeah short sword is a beast, I use that or venom daggers or whirlwind blades, all craftable so no problem there. I just fail to understand what benefits does this change in durability bring to the game. Apart from that, most changes are fine by me. I don't mind the stamina change, derketo potions ftw.

The trac record for FC screwing over people and the game they would otherwise play is astounding. Played Anarchy Online for over 10 years. BUILDING A GAME AND THEN DESTROYING IT IS WHAT FC DOES BEST.
im looking forward to the update. stamina adjustments will only teach button mashers to learn timing and attack pattern of enemy. The new purge has me most excited. The idea of building up your treasure and having to protect it from a siege will be a freshen things up. Anything to get me out to explore the world for different items is always nice as well :)
I've been trying this out. A lot of the stuff, like aggro, is good and I agree with your points about the caravans. The stamina change is bloody awful though, especially at the start of the game when you haven't got ability points and gear to mitigate it. The mobs are still incredibly predictable as always, so you can manage it if you are, like yourself, experienced. New players are going to die. A lot. And it's boring. I had a session on the apes by the witch queen and honestly lost the will to live. As for weapons, carry a star metal one for general use, just put the legendary on for boss fights. This means more weight to lug round and the need to go heavily into grit seriously limits your builds. So tl;dr it sucks, but some bits are OK.
I'm wondering, since I normally rely on repairing my legendary weapons with a thrall and a Nemedian Helm, if that method is still going to be viable? Have you tried this...?
Great and very informative video Angaar! I have a bunch of mixed feelings about all these changes but most of the negative ones are because i don't realy like changes and i know is a personal battle with my mind! 😆I was just wandering if the weight of the wepons make any difference in the stamina loss, like the Baal-Pteor's Razor that has 0.1 weight or the Baal-Pteor's Loadstone !?!? God I hate durability mechanics and I wish less games would ruin their equipment with stupid durability mechanics. Other than that, I'm quite happy with most of the changes. Even the stamina changes. "Build up the meter and wait for the enemies to decide to randomly attack your base" isn't a fun mechanic. We waited for like 4 in-game days for our first purge and after that we just turned it off.
I strongly disagree. Durability is ESSENTIAL to the longevity of survival games cause it creates the need to compromise between contents. In my opinion, better weapons should not "cut much better" but "stay sharper for longer". This makes much more sense and would make every encounter much more serious. Every repair should cost more and more, take more and more time, and make the weapon more durable than before. It's similar to the way steel works and this would organically create legendary weapons throughout the server.
@@Dalboni In an ideal world, I'd agree with you wholeheartedly. However, not a single survival game has EVER made a good durability system. Every single game that has durability for its tools/weapons/armor has been, at the very best, poorly implemented. If you can´t repeair legendary weapons/shields anymore, it will be no use for them anymore. You can only put them in thralls and hope they won´t change this system, that they won´t loose durability inside thralls. This change is very upsetting and i don´t like it very much.
