Just came across your videos. Great inspiration ! First year running at 67 years old. Much prefer trail to road. I fell at the end of Sept on a steep downhill backyard ultra, dislocated and broke my shoulder. I was pretty proud of my 10 miles, with 3 of them with the broken shoulder ! Funny, is that I was using the trail run to prepare for a road racethe next weekend. I've been slowly getting back to it. Recently added a used spin bike to my training. Wanting to add a treadmill for the bad weather conditions. Putting it all in my car port..Not what I wanted for the end of the season mileage wise, but trying to get it done. Will Wahoo sponsor an 67 year old slow runner ? !!🤣
Love the videos! I have an off topic question. I completed my first 100 mile ultramarathon last Saturday-Sunday. I guess my question is, is it typical for my muscles are not really sore but my feet are destroyed. Big toe and next toe on both sides are still kind of numb and my left shin feels like there is a dagger in it. If it is normal how long does it take to actually recover from this? I’ve done 5 Ironmans and the pain from those doesn’t even compare to this.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤ Congrats on completing your first 100 miler 🎉 that is a big accomplishment 💪🏼 On the recovery side, everyones experience can differ depending on many factors, but it sounds like you have a few of the typical battle scars that can be expected when you run 100 miles. That being said, full recovery can take up to 4 weeks. Thank you so much for watching it mean a lot 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤
💦You know it was a good workout by the size of the puddle under the trainer, eh?! 😁Are you using the wahoo app, HJ? How does it compare to zwift? God bless, Megan 🙏❤🙏
🥵🥵🥵 The Wahoo app is a great training tool and offers so many specific workouts that I use in my preparation 👌🏼👌🏼 Thank you so much for all your support...means so much to Wattie and I 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤
@@heatherjacksonracing Thank you! 💓You inspire me SO VERY much, Heather! I made up a 2'x3' collage poster of my pics from IMLP and our selfie is right in the middle...the highlight of my train cave!!🤩🥰 You and Wattie are such a FAB team (pups included)--love following your adventures! Rock on, Dirt Brigade!! 🙏🙏
