- How Duesenberg Les Trem II works on Harley Benton HB35Plus semihollow guitar?
"Les Paul" tremolo with very fast & easy & interchangeable installation
With roller bridge, locking tuners, Big bends Nut sauce and String Butler not so bad finally.

When your tremolo is worth more than the guitar lol
Almost ;) But this is not a bad guitar, only need a bit work :)
@@hyenikwe havent said its a bad guitar 😂 harley benton somehow comes up with dirt cheap guitars that are absolutely worth the money, i got a harley benton les paul and i love it
@@rusty1253 yeah, dirty cheap and not so bad. Need some work (leveling and polishing frets etc) but sound is OK
@@hyenik I wonder if this tremolo would be good for doing some Brian May type of stuff I'm considering adding it to my own homemade guitar I built with my grandpa and I don't want to route inside my guitar for a fender style tremolo
@@southernpride2003 Could be. But still is tremolo. Need to prepare nut, bridge and tuners. Then would be fine 👍
THE SPICE MUST FLOW!
Melangeria will open soon...
Thanks for posting this. I put one of these on my Firebird and wondered if it would work with the HB 35.
Glad to help 👍
Seems to work very well. You've listed the upgrades apart from the roller bridge. What roller bridge did you use? Cheers.
it some cheap one from aliexpress (not so good, need to repair, but finally works)
Amazing guitar and playing! Btw what kind of strap do you use?
Thanks, you are too kind for this noodling :)
Strap is Minotaur bicolour from Thomann www.thomann.de/hu/minotaur_bicolour_deluxe_strap_bk_r.htm
what tunning machines are you using? Did you have any tunning stability problems with the tremolo?
Guyker - cheaper locking tuners from aliexpress.
Tuning stability is as for tremolo, definitely not perfect like FloydRose, but usable with upgrades (roller bridge, nut, tuners...)
@@hyenik thanks!
@@lordcajander you are welcome
Looks like a cross between a jazz master and a bigsby trem
Although I say this as someone who's played neither
Dont know jazzmaster, but this is much better than bigsby.
@@hyenik is it more stable than bigsby or easier to use? Or in which other way is it better? I'm thinking about bigsbyfying a Tele, but in the end I might end up installing this to a cheap HB guitar.
@@pbrewsky For me yes. And much easier instalation. And cheaper :)
@@pbrewsky as described on the duesenberg page, the tuning stability is less stable when using a roller bridge. Same problem when you don't use the duesenberg bridge/saddle nut.
Question on that bridge, as i think i have the same one: does it pivot when you use the tremolo? I was under the impression that the strings roll when you use the trem. On mine with a gfs xtrem, the bridge pivots like the stock tunomatic that it had
Yes, bridge is rolling. But not from start, it must be setted in motion (cheap china aliex bridge). Some rollers working, some not.
@@hyenik how exactly did you get them to set in motion? I have two rollers that are being fussy!
@@manny7289 stone by stone, take out roller, use sand paper and lubricant, made shaft works. It took me about one hour of work. I did it twice already.
@@hyenik thank you much friend
My trem keeps snapping the higher e and b.
For me not. But I am not string breaker at all.
For electric guitars I use EXL140 (10-52)
I never break strings but the balls on the end just fall off on the guyker version of this I think it is sharp edges. @@hyenik
@@AM2PMReviewscoul be, I am not familiar with guyker version. With Duesenberg I have no issue
Hi, what amp are you using? Are your guyker tuners still working?
Salvation Audio modular preamp Banned

Guyker still works
@@hyenik nice, I've seen that some guyker locking tuners stop working after a while
@@ElIsraelJijijiji with chinesse products is always gambling.
for example this roller bridge not rolling :) I must repair it
@@hyenik I bought Guyker Les trem since it was the only one with fast shipping, it's good and also the roller bridge... I'm just waiting til the day it stops working
@@hyenikso far so good, I've replaced the handle with a Bigsby handle, I suffered some tuning issues but it was because the spring wasn't returning to it's original position
Is it a lightweight guitar?
I think standard (not quite heavy, not lightweight)
I just got an HB-35. I was considering the Les Trem, but I'm concerned about the volume knob being so close. Do you find it to be an issue at all?
yes, nobody is perfect :)
But I don´t use volume knob so much, so this is not a big issue for me.
What’s the string spacing on a les trem? String to string and total.
What I've seen matches a tune-o-matic so you can leave it on. I don't think you get a new one but it's been a couple of years since I looked into it.
Standard tune-o-matic bridge dimensions, as @camilo1455 mentioned, thanks
One question, can the floating bridge break the guitar? since it is semi-hollow
Don´t have experience with floating bridge.
