I wish i could get the same clarity on my HUD as you have with projectors. Its completely washed out in all but nigh missions. Learned a lot from your build, to get my F16 pit up and running

After this becomes boring and you need an upgrade your only move is to cram it all into one of those multi axis 720 degree hydraulic systems that are basically a big arm with a spin rotate and roll while the base spins round,
So I had this question and 25 min into it you answered it before I even asked 😂 I wonder how you’d implement a HMCS to this setup. Maybe it’s possible with something like an eye tracker but I mean. It would also be very cool to have a helmet with the display in it!! If that’s even possible to get your hands on

Pretty damn amazing rig. I would never have the energy to set this up and then bind all the buttons. That must’ve been frustrating. Just algigning everything must’ve been a heck of a job

Do you have the TM warthog stick? You should look at getting the f16 stick from winwing as it has a built in motor which would add to your immersion.
Hey is there any way that the gun Vibration could be integrated in the sim. That would add some final touch to this already amazing Sim! Keep it up!

I should record some of the road farps my group has used in the past. They are quite tight for both takeoff and landing.
You ever thought of having a screen on your leg similar to your notepad but for the map specifically?

Mate, how did you get the MFCD's, Radar and Altimeter to show up as overlays on your vid?
@The Warthog Project, why don't have your rig on actuators? It would be fascinating to see how you incorporate full motion into such a great cockpit replica.
He'd have to build a completely different display setup. With the screens and projectors moving with the cockpit. Entirely enclosed of course so his peripheral vision doesn't mess with the immersion.
@@9HighFlyer9 yea he would have to modify his visual interpretation, I think he is currently running on a projector. I love the setup and I am all too familiar with how vital immersion is. Im telling you man, the only thing left is to make the rig dip and wiggle!

Out of curiosity, have you noticed a degradation in readability of MFD text since 2.8? I don't know if it affects exports. ED made a change in 2.8, to enable SRGB space on the MFDs, that made visibility worse primarily affecting VR but noticeable in 2D also.
Yeah vr mfcd visibility is horrid. Was playing the iron flag campaign on mission 9 and I couldn't for the life of me find that damn APC driving around in the tgp
@@hooviedoovie5220 that sounds like TGP and FLIR, whereas I'm referring specifically to a change in 2.8 which made text readability worse.

Looks lkke the body of the plane "pops in" when you look behind you.
Do you do that manually?
I use snap views to look over each shoulder and also straight up. When a snap view is set, the jet model will pop back in so you don't get disoriented.
what app are you using on the tablet to get airport information from? Or are they just pictures of the in game kneeboard maps?

More flaps doesn’t always give you more lift. In most aircraft, any more than 50% flap is only adding drag.

There are tvs with background LED's behind the screen. Then some hardware takes the video feed and changes the led's to match the border.
You need to get a 4k camera. Everything in game is so fuzzy. It's like it's 360p. Also, the audio captured from the game itself would be much better than micing the room. Hope these get better soon. They are just too fuzzy to see anything, and night missions make it even worse.
Ive tried it and 4k at 30fps looks worse that 1080p at 60fps. There are no affordable action cameras that can work as a usb webcam at 4k 60fps. And the NVG is intentionally fuzzy because that's how DCS thinks it's supposed to be lol.
It's because of high contrast light, not because of low resolution!
The road base A-10 spawns don't get used in Grayflag, you say? Iiiiiiiinteresting.

Are you able to use the Scorpion HMD in this sim?
Yes it’s available in the A10C2 that they released a couple years ago. I don’t think he has the ability though with his cockpit setup however bc he doesn’t use a head tracker since it’s all 1:1 and wraparound screen. He might have figured a way to manipulate it though
@@kornykidd0 there haven't been any videos on it from what I see. I really enjoy using the HMD in the sim, and I don't think I could live without it.

Considering his setup, he’d probably have to make his own. Which would prob be expensive, and he’d maybe have to change the screens so it would fit more
It is an impressive rig but for any kind of plane with a wrap around canopy it is simply unrealistic to the point of anti immersion. I could see this working far better in a plane with a limited front view and a roof than a modern fighter type. A Airbus or Cessna 150 for example, lol. VR is just so much more suited for this if it worked better and had some descent acc.
Just fly a real plane at that point, wtf
