We hated playing this. Our Band director made us go to school some Saturday mornings from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm just to get ready for UIL. I know UIL is important, but going to school all Saturday morning is where we start getting worried for our Band Directors obsession with UIL. You start hating a song after playing it over and over I can't complain because we go straight ones on stage on all three songs. We are the top band at our school and we really care about our band directors
it makes me so sad to see this, I’ve seen this comment like four times and the first time it was when I was in middle school. I grew to love this piece because even though it was tricky for me playing slow pieces, I changed from originally playing the alto tenor and baritone sac, to now the cello in high school. It took me a while to realize I’ve played this before and this is the fifth time now I’m ever playing this. Truly sorry for the harsh experience. In my opinion this piece for a childhood memory of mine, it’s always been my favorite because as I played it, it brought me joy being onstage at the very end feeling at home. And when I had to practice often to get something right, I always reminded myself it would all be worth it once I’ve felt that same feeling like how I did onstage after playing a piece I put work into.
Meira Taylor same my class is playing this for a festival in March. When we played it for the first time it sounded pretty good. Coming from the top class of band. We had a little minor mistakes but we practice everyday. This is also my favorite piece of music.
We are playing this for our spring concert this year and I play the flute
