  • Michael Peter Smith at a house concert produced by Paul Wales and Annie Orlando in Gainesville, FL May 9th 2010.
Zippy takes you on a verbal roller coaster of advice for a fellow aging hippie who's contemplating quitting weed.... priceless!

A great tune - between this and "Dead Egyptian Blues" he's got two of my desert island tunes. But I should add that I haven't stopped doing weed and that life is pretty damn zippy anyway!

Man, this guy is fabulous, we're talkin' relaxed, no push rap that makes sense. Heard this on the way to my gig and managed to keep the title and the name in my deteriorating brain at 65 so the Judy Collins reference wasn't lost on me

This man is awesome. And quite a story to tell .. his father .. his sisters .. Paterson Summer. I've seen him several times here in and around the Chicagoland area. I was just looking at a Steve Goodman video in where he referred to a "Mike Smith". I am certain that this is who Steve was referring to.

Great song and songwriter. But what was that thing hanging on his hat that fell off at the end?

Did anyone notice the end credit, "Video by David Beede," rhymes with the song?

I would suppose that Michael finally got an I-phone 'smart phone'. I just got mine, so will probably hook it up soon. I do have a mac book pro laptop for the past 6 years, only under pressure from some people (my boss was one). I have a brain. I can think. I'll use this silly phone, but will never become dependent on it. My brain cells are important to me.
Again, I was born in 1955. So, that makes me 60. I think the grid system works just fine.

Way too funny and true, even today. Those people on the North side there, ESPECIALLY can't even walk out a door without the smart phone (I am supposing to tell them which direction to turn next, and then where to go from there) ?? ... all so VERY SERIOUSLY involved. Too funny to watch them, really.
I hope medical marijuana can be prescribed as soon as we find a diagnosis ..
