We stopped in Johnsondale on our summer (road) tour but got kicked out after getting a little too casual, busting out the hammock and cooking some lunch by the water, oops!
Sounds like an unexpected turn during your road tour! Despite the hiccup, it likely added a memorable twist to your journey. Safe travels on your future adventures!
I’m glad you guys vlogged this one. I like the California bikepacking vids and this is a beautiful trip! Heavy duty ride with all the climbing but so beautiful!
Great video, looking forward to day2 & 3 videos. I used to run a big Apidura seat bag, but am a convert to rear racks. They are so much more stable than the seat bag and don't weigh all that much. Got one for $50 at my LBS, you don't nec. have to splurge on a Tailfin...
Thank you for watching and your kind feedback! Hope you enjoy our day 2 & 3 videos. Rear racks do offer great stability, and I appreciate the suggestion! I need to go check my own LBS! Thanks again!
My favourite filter is the Sawyer Products MINI Water Filtration System. Super small and will filter forever and they are so inexpensive! Can also be used inline with a bladder, sipped through with a straw, or squeeze water through with a foil bag. Only carrying water I needed and being able to refill was liberating!!!
Awesome video! Frame ( and half frame) are your friend, helps you keep more aero and you can keep a ton of stuff in them. You can also use water bladders. Rogue panda makes great and very aesthetic frame bags…
Thank you so much for the positive feedback! I couldn't agree more - frame bags (and half frame bags) are fantastic for staying aerodynamic and carrying a lot of gear. I'll definitely check out Rogue Panda for some stylish and functional frame bags. Your recommendations are greatly appreciated!
Another epic video beautiful views you guys are hilarious 😆 how exciting Joe is hilarious with the first course lol🤣🤣🤣 sooo excited looking forward for part 2 awesome job guy’s 🔥💪🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽 you guys are troopers
Did you replace the Topstone? Did not like it? You can get a really cheap, lightweight aluminium rack and this will be good enough to keep the bags off the wheel, even if they are not designed for that type of rack.
Haha, the lovely camp host let me borrow his! I was too hungry to record the part where I opened it and devoured the beans. Glad you were intrigued lol! Part two coming soon :)
This deserves more comments.
I'm glad you've left two already! Thanks compa!
I had the same problem with the saddlebag. I recommend putting the tent pole in that bag.
Good idea, thanks for sharing!
That looks sooo fun!!
It was such an adventure!
What a fun video!!! My family was so entertained and they don't even ride hahaha ya'll are hilarious! Can't wait for part 2
Glad you liked it!! Part two coming soon :)

You guys need a Leatherman Wave Multitool and Katadyn Pocket water filter.
Thanks for watching, will look into those, we appreciate your recommendations!
@@lifesagem Where is that meadow on your trip? I want to take my ebike and ride there.
or just a new Lifestraw Peak water filter. Way smaller and very capable

waoo… I just drove there last week. Its so scenic- i saw cyclists from Fresno side
Awesome! That whole area is insane!! I'm surprised there aren't more cyclists in the segments around the area. You almost ran into us haha
