👉IMPORTANT NOTES:👈
⏩1. No Camera, Go to Youpin Error: The default server of the Windows App is set to China. Please change it to the region of your Mi Home Mobile App as shown at 5:04. Change the machineCode from "cn" in config.dll to "sg" for Middle East & Asia, "i2" for India, "de" for EU and UK, and "us" for North and South America. Note that these are the only servers available and each server serves a region and not a country, e.g. if your Mi Home App region is Turkey, the server will be "sg". If you put a wrong server code you will see "net error, click to retry" error.
⏩2. The following Cameras are not supported currently:
i. IMILab EC2 Camera (Only Hub shows up)
ii. IMILab chuangmi.camera.v5
No working settings could be found for the above cameras. Please let me know if you find working device_profile settings.
⏩3. Login Failed, Please Retry Error: This error shown here: i.ibb.co/TL71hV1/MIError.png usually happens after changing your Mi account credentials. The solution is to log out from the current session. In order to do that you have to go to the "C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\imilab\IMICamera\Config" folder. Open the app_info file using a text editor. Change the setting as "remember": false instead of true. Save the file. That will log you out from the current app session. After that you should be able to login the app with your new credentials. Notes: "username" should be your current Windows User name. The AppData folder is usually hidden. If the "Config" folder is empty, please download this app_info file: and place it inside the "Config" folder and then open the app.
⏩4. System Failure, Please try again Error: This error shown here: i.ibb.co/C5Sk2pH/Login.jpg is usually caused when you do not have a phone number linked to your Mi account. You can try logging in using your registered mobile number by clicking the button below the green login button in the app. If it does not work, you should link your mobile number to your Mi Account at mi.com.
⏩5. PTZ and Playback Functions: If the PTZ function of the supported cameras is not working, then you should update the firmware of the camera to the latest version by connecting to the Chinese Server through the Mi Home Mobile App. After the successful update, you can connect back to your local server and PTZ should work in the Windows App. The Playback function works only for some Mi and Mijia cameras and the rest are not supported.
⏩6. Buffering Error and "Error while decoding frame" in the log: This error is usually caused by an incorrect "full_encrypt" value of the camera profile in the device_profile.dll. In order to solve it, you should go to your camera "model" profile in device_profile.dll and change the "full_encrypt" value. The probable values are 300, 400, 999, or 999999, etc. You have to try with each value and see. If you do not know your camera's "model" value, then change the device_profile.dll file name to device_profile_1.dll and open the app. The app will not show any camera. Open log.txt, there you should find your camera model under "ignore model", e.g. "ignore model: chuangmi.camera.ipc013d". After noting the ignored models, change the file name back to device_profile.dll.

Thanks for the effort. IT was very useful. For everybody who is facing an issue with "Establishing a safe connection" like me, the root cause was that I was connected to VPN. If you disconnect, the connection will be established. I hope it can help.

Thanks for this, the process was smooth all things considered, I had a camera ignored and on the config file had a similar model with a different version, it was just a matter of changing a single digit and it worked smoothly. I got confused for a sec on the south east asia version, on the cc it was SE but I read what you typed on the notepad it was actually SG, once that was figured out I got it to work. super weird that MI only has mobile versions of this officially, but glad to have guys like you around!

Very good and thorough tutorial. I had some problem with the official version due to the log-in interface. But with your fixed version the problem is gone! I also had problem logging in because I change the account credentials. But you had the troubleshooting steps in the description as well, now the problem is fixed. Thank you very much!
Thank you! it worked, although when i try to resize the app sometimes restart or doesn't work properly, which i fixed by running with compatibility mode in windows 8 (then you can resize it properly) still crashes from time to time but it works properly! Thanks for sharing

Worked! Only the stream was inconstant and with no sound. But once that I´ve edited that "device_profile.dll", with "Notepad++", and changed that big "999999999" numbers, to only "999", everything works great now. - I´ll never buy a Xiaomi camera again, property and closed software needed to run it, makes no sense! They could share this software and add, at least, a "record" button on it... But it was bad for their "cloud services" sales... I´m guessing... - THANKYOU for your work !!! :)

Very good program, I finally managed to get the cameras to run on Windows natively, without having to emulate an Android on the machine. But I would like to make some suggestions:
It lacks the option to record in video on the PC, and it lacks the option to use the camera's microphone. From time to time there is a bug in the program to close itself. And it would be very interesting when changing the form of "All Rooms" to another form with the name of the camera that it saves the grid of frames independently.

Programa muito bom, finalmente consegui colocar as câmeras para rodar no Windows de forma nativa, sem precisar emular um Android na máquina. Mas gostaria de fazer algumas sugestões:
Falta a opção de gravar em vídeo no PC, e falta a opção de utilizar o microfone da câmera. De vez em quando dá um bug do programa fechar sozinho. E seria muito interesse quando mudar a ficha do "All Rooms" para outra ficha com o nome da câmera ele guardar de forma independente o grid dos quadros.

Good finding on this and able to make it works most of Mi Home Cameras, however it seem the program very buggy on my computer. Always laggy and close by itself.

PS:
Even without internet, you can still stream your devices as long as they're connected to the same local network!
Yes you can disconnect internet after starting to stream over local network. But I dunno if it works to start a stream without internet for authentication. If you can use the app without internet at all then please let me know how. Thanks.
@@DSmartLife What if I establish a connection first with a data connection that has the same SSID so both the PC and Cameras connect to that network, then, once established, go back to my original network without internet. Would that work or would I need to reestablish connection?
I'm not sure, you have to try and see. As far as I have seen, it establishes connection every time.
This situation comes to mind when internet cuts off unexpectedly before opening the app. So for those that do not have internet connection at all, this method would be very difficult.

Do you know what could be causing the cameras to give false alarms or make crackling noises for a while?
This is really awesome, I finally managed to view the camera from the PC. Everything work fine, after manually trial and error adding the camera into Device Profile , except the sound still not coming ( I can only hear noises pop up on and off every few seconds), is there any way to try with difference set of Codec or sample parameter value ?
