THRILLER! VADENI WINS FIRST CORAL-ECLIPSE FOR FRANCE SINCE 1960 AT SANDOWN PARK RACECOURSE

It was a fine day for French trainer Jean-Claude Rouget who trained VADENI to win the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown Park Racecourse.
Christophe Soumillon was the winning jockey.

Some race! You wouldn't call it a walk in the park. A furlong out there's 4 of going strong and then as the post comes, anther threat turn up and nearly catches the winner which had to produce about 3 furlongs of very high speed . It takes a very good horse indeed to win that race.

Soumillon was brilliant. Took a wee tow and held it nicely until he knew he had to go for it. Mishriff's jockey ran him into trouble - he wasn't reading the race and basically blew it. All very easy for me to say but different story if you're on-board!

Yep I haven't seen too many trips this season worse than Mishriff's here. Plus he was carrying almost enough for a steeplechase horse.
