I have to give Sierra props for singing the entire song just as it was in the film and in the same key. That is, compared to that chopped up version sung by Connie Fisher in the 2006 revival. I'm never a fan of chopping up and shortening songs for musical revivals.

wow, i heard that right away too, yeah she's sharp, that adrenaline is racing!! i hate Julies last note on the soundtrack too... sounds strained and pushed, like she wasn't ready for it. so i've listened to Sierra now several times and wow the vocal gymnastics on this piece, head voice, chest voice and all of a sudden here's the money note in a register not yet visited AND It's a G natural, not an Ab.... and yet do you hear it finally come into perfect alignment at the end AND how she holds it just an extra half second past everyone else just to let you know she f******* nailed it?!.... now THAT is a pro.... There are several young women who could have done the charatcer of Maria justice for The Sound of Music special.
