- Sierra Boggess performing Falling in Love with Love in the BBC Proms 2012 - Broadway Sound with the John Wilson Orchestra.
Recorded and performed on 27th August and Broadcasted on BBC2 on 1st Sept.
I do not claim to own any content, this belongs to the original broadcaster. I am only uploading this for prosperity's sake.
Can't get enough of her singing. She should star in every Broadway musical, all musical movies and even some Opera.
cere tomer Sierra has done opera, and she sings beautifully! She performed at the 25th anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera in London's Royal Albert Hall. It truly is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen! I know the performance is on Netflix, and I think it might be on UA-cam as well.
Anna Castillo Which is not an opera...
Yes, both of you are right! I know Phantom is not an opera, but the music sung in the show is similar to that which would be in an opera.
roggie harry Arm the next time it happens

This is what a first rate theatre soprano should sound like!! Sierra Boggess is fantastic. May we have more and more of her singing. Thank you, Sierra.
Absolutely! :) Recall Becca Luker (spelling) also sang this beautifully, Donald.
I could hardly agree more. I am not sure there is a voice appropriate role she could not sing. She is wonderful.

@@mikehorton6225 I so agree with you. I sing MT and opera, and Sierra is my role model.
listen to julie andrews or joan sutherland sing it.
I almost gave her a one person round of applause in my living room! Wow! Shivers!! What an amazing talent.
This young lady is a future superstar. She has everything - a beautiful voice, she is very pretty, and her stage presence is magnificent.
Right now, for me she is the best. Being a musical theatre singer, she acts out the songs which is what I try to do.
She IS a superstar, made famous by her portrayal of Christine Daea in the 25th anniversary performance of the Phantom of the Opera, which was filmed btw. So it reached a lot more people which no doubt contributed to her fame.
Sierra Boggess is most known for her role as Ariel in the little mermaid musical and also Phantom of the opera
And how you were proved right.
She has a way of infusing this glorious music with such genius so as to make it seem as if I am hearing it all for the first time....

What a great soprano Sierra Boggess is. She just emanates greatness. We are blessed to hear her!!!
I’ve watched this many times and it never gets old. Sierra Boggess has the perfect theater voice for these classic songs. Pure perfection. A God given gift so generously shared by the beautiful lady.
I fell head over heels in love with Sierra Boggess when I saw her at the 2010 Proms with Julian Ovenden singing Rogers and Hammerstien’s songs. A magical night.
I love how she has two voices and they're both a delight to listen to. GO SIERRA!!!
I just love Sierra’s voice. Her voice is angelic. And her diction is perfect! She and Julian Overdon are so great together!!!
The concert master's solo 0:34 is so intricate and beautiful. And Sierra Boggess is such an awesome soprano, I want to watch her perform in person.
Falling in love with falling in love with Sierra Boggess!
No matter who sings this song, when you hear this, and the accompanying musical arrangement, and the choir, it's goose pimple time. Even reach for the hanky.
Sierra Boggess, I like most, is one of the superb soprano. Her vocal is lusty but natural and lyric with a sense of rhythm.
I don't think I've ever heard this song sung as beautifully as this young lady does. Terrific! I'm a US American but for world class productions the BBC Proms wins hands down. Always the best.
I wish we had a program like the Proms in the U.S. we should expose ourselves to the musical arts more frequently. We've lost something on this side of the pond.
WMJCPA So true. I have often felt the same. How I would relish the opportunity to attend an event like this in the U.S.
so she is american
BBC Proms is a great program but just fyi the singer, Sierra Boggess, is a very down-to-earth young American woman from Denver, Colorado. Kudos to BBC for not restricting their program to only Brits!
I fell in love with Sierra from the first time I saw her singing
with the John Wilson Orchestra at The RAH She’s simply Superb 😍
Looks, figure, talent, grace, great voice. Sierra's got it all.
No words really do justice to this. That voice is mesmerizing.
She sang the bitter-sweet words so beautifully...
Best I've every heard it sung. Instant fan of Sierra.
To see people gathered playing good music and singing - such is joy
Both are works of pure art and grace- Sierra and the arrangement
wow this song has always been one of my favorites! and omg she did this so beautifully i could cry!
Oh dear! This performance was perfect! Absolutely, flawlessly perfect in every way!
Sierra is very talented and beautiful. However let's not forget about the legendary performers Bernadette Peters and Rebecca Luker. Their interpretations are what inspired Sierra.
What a glorious voice.
Bravo to Sierra Boggess for her incredible talent
Thank you Sierra. You have such a beautiful voice and presence.
She is amazing. She is a true musical theater soprano.
Everything said already. She is beautiful, good stage presence, fantastic, and good voice
Phenomenal! Sierra, her singing is as beautiful as her beauty!
She is most definitely one of the most brilliant artists ever!
Beautiful music, beautiful lady with beautiful voice All is beautiful!
Oh boy what a knockout - wonderful singing and stage craft by Sierra with a superb choir and orchestral back-up. It doesn't get much better than this.
This fresh-faced young woman with a powerful voice. What a treat.
this is why i love her. when all the other women were singing she shook her head like wow… its so surreal thank you. only women like her do little things like that that only very few notice. i would love to be like her one day. i can seriously go on all day,but ill stop before this comment says read more 19305830483 lines
Was only introduced to sierra bogges about a year ago she is a true professional the best soprano I have ever heard just wish I could have got in to this kind of music earlier in my life glen
Such a beautiful uplifting sensibility communicated by both the music and her voice.
I have savored this performance by Sierra and the glorious women's chorus at least 100 times....GOOSEBUMPS every single time!!!
What a consummate vocalist! I can listen to her every day. 😊💕
Sierra boggess is unreal what a great tallent
She is enchanting.
Perfection !!
As a musical theatre and opera singer, she is my inspiration.
WOW.......What a voice.....Bravo 👍👍👍
it was, they used it for the stepmother in the Brandy version of Cinderella as they're preparing to go to the ball and consequently forgetting Cinderella. This version seems to be the longer version, they trimmed it for the TV musical
Yes they cut it down as it was not for Cinderella, they used it because the stepmother did not have a song and they had Bernadette Peters playing that role and she is one of the best singers so they took it and reworked it to fit Cinderella
Sierra: The singer of the 21st Century. Beautiful and Angelic. At 79, I have hope.
sheer magic on that stage!
Sierra Boggess voice has captured my heart.💖 And set my heart aflame ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
She is simply good, very inspiring, and very beaqutiful.
A truly beautiful version of this lovely song... thanks for this delightful share
What a glorious voice!! Perfect on Pitch -- a delight for the ears!!!!!!!!
This is how this song should be sung. Brava!

Magnificient! Breathtaking! Sierra and the Female Chorus are great together!
Amazing, simply amazing...Falling in love is indeed possible!
She is just such a special performer. What a talent, wonderful to watch.
She sounds so much like a Disney princess.
Enchanting.
Beautiful.
Beautiful
What a catch for the lucky guy. She does a great job in interpreting and delivering these wonderful old Broadway classics - Rodgers & Hart - to name but a few.
She owns the song and the stage and the audience. Thanks to UA-cam and the publishers we are able to see and hear such wonderful talent which otherwise we might never know of.
I agree with the comment below! Sierra Burgess sings this with such passion and joy and better than anyone has ever sung it!!! Broadway in New York City needs to start casting her in revival musicals. She has an operatic voice. The Metropolitan Opera should be looking at her also!
Yes they should and I hope they will. Best soprano voice I have ever heard. Would love to hear her sing as Susanna in the Marriage of Figaro.
As always--wow!!!!!!!!!
She sings so effordles truly so lovely could listen to her all day
Just lovely.
La soprano Sierra Boggess tiene una voz maravillosa, yo casi me atrevería a decir que además de su evidente belleza, ella tiene la voz de un ángel.
👏👏👏 I love this song!
She is absolutely incredible !!
She is lovely. Love , true love, is never make believe. Never foolish. It is a gift and I hope those lucky enough to have it, know it.
Simply THE BEST and the best looking. xx
I weave with brightly colored strings
To keep my mind off other things
So, ladies, let your fingers
dance
And keep your hands out of romance
Lovely witches
Let the stitches
Keep your fingers under
control
Cut the thread, but leave
The whole heart whole
Merry maids can sew and sleep
Wives can only
sew and weep
Falling in love with love
Is falling for make-believe
Falling in love with love
Is
playing the fool
Caring too much is juvenile fancy
Learning to trust is just
For children in school
I
fell in love with love one night
When the moon was full
I was unwise with eyes
Unable to see
I fell
in love with love
With love everlasting
But love fell out with me
Caring too much is JUST A juvenile fancy…..the internal rhyme is IMPORTANT
Incomparably amazing!
pure perfection of a bueatiful singing voice.
Sierra Boggies I Love
Gorgeous! Love her voice so much❤❤❤
Fantastic I am in Love
her voice is amazingly beautiful
Great performance!
I love this, she is truly brilliant, and i also love Bernadette Peters, especially because of the way she put it across, this is more gentle but i still adore this
Such a wonderful voice.

stunningly beautiful and such a gorgeous voice.
SIERRA BOGGESS! I fell in love, I fell in love with this beautiful young lady! Wow! Sierra is totally extraordinary as a singer and is a beautiful young lady. She deserves worldwide acclaim. Once people in the United States come to know her a bit more She will be totally loved by everyone!
Love it!
La escucho y escucho y cada vez con mayor deleite.
Sierra Boggess is beautiful and her singing is lovely! The John Wilson Orchestra is remarkably great also!

She makes a old man feel young again, I love what I can find but I wish there was more.
Bella y canta en forma insuperable.

Thank you so much “Nat Nat” for posting the lyrics to this passionate song! Sierra Burgess is a commensurate vocalist. 🥰
what a joy to watch and listen to ❤️
Wow! I love her! I love the way she sing because she has facial expression and she know how to use her body. Nothing can compare to her voice!
My favorite Soprano. Singer and looks. Sierra Boggess is just great!
She's great, orchestra and arranging fantastic; love the all womens' chorus, but I say WOW to these 2 great composers Richard Rodgers (music) and Lorenz Hart (lyrics) Their music will live on forever.
Bing Crosby once said, "...the singer is as only good as the composer."
Kingsley Pedlar and
Sarah: Rodgers & Lorenz Hart were a team late 20's & thru the 30's. Falling in Love with Love from the B'Way 1938 Show, "Boys From Syracuse. Many jazz players and singers prefer the Rodgers & Hart team. My opinion is their music was better. Lorenz Hart died in '43 - drinking problem. Oklahoma written that year with Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II. Followed shortly with Carousel '45, South Pacific '49, King & I '51. Rodgers and Hammerstein did their first movie "State Fair " in '45 (It Might As Well Be Spring) my favorite song from that movie. Hammerstein died circa early 1960's and Rodgers continued along solo, writing "Sound of Music" etc. Bing Crosby once quoted: "...singer only as good as the composer." Altho' they (singers) seem to get all the praise
Wonderful 💕💕👏👏
É extraordinária com uma voz que agrada por dmais. Canções bem esclhidas, já demonstrou suas qualidades no Fantasma da Ópera. Com Julian Ovbenden forma uma dupla de uma grande beleza vocal. Não me canso de ouvi-los.
Absolutely beautiful!
