Eric Burdon (vocals), Alan Price (organ and keyboards),that organ line is perhaps the best every played in rock, along with the one form the group "The Doors" song, " Riders on the Storm", which you should take a listen too, both are classics.

I think the guitarist's grin came from the fact that he and the bassist had been walking around the last several minutes with no sign of a hook-up to their electric instruments.
I think it was Fil on The Wings of Pegasus YT channel where I heard about The Animals' demise. I found this information on wikipedia about that (yakuza = Japanese mafia):
Numerous reasons have been cited for the breakup, the most famous being an aborted Japanese tour. The tour had been scheduled for September 1968 but was delayed until November, due to difficulty obtaining visas. Only a few dates into the tour, the promoters - who, unbeknownst to the band, were yakuza - kidnapped the band's manager and threatened him at gunpoint to write an IOU for $25,000 to cover losses incurred by the tour's delay. The manager wrote out the IOU but, correctly surmising that none of his captors could read English, added a note that it was written under duress. The yakuza released him but warned that he and the band would have to leave Japan the next day or be killed. The Animals promptly fled the country, leaving all their tour equipment behind. Money and Summers both subsequently pursued solo careers (though this pursuit was swiftly aborted in Summers' case), Weider signed up with Family, and Burdon joined forces with a Latin group from Long Beach, California, called War.
This is amazing at age 78: "Eric Burdon -PAINT IT BLACK- Athens 2019" ua-cam.com/video/DOGN52iPJ90/v-deo.html

Your appreciation for 'Old School' music is awesome. Your reaction during the keyboard solo was the real deal. The only original member who has passed is 6ft 4inch bassist Chas Chandler. He's the gentleman whose 3rd in the line, towering in the background. He died in1996 of an aortic aneurysm. This is a terrific video Valencia. Thanks for sharing, RNB

No, the theme to The Lone Ranger was the William Tell Overture by Gioachino Rossini. This is The House of the Rising Sun, by one of the biggest groups of the 60's, The Animals, part of the British Invasion like the Beatles.

I Saw Eric Burdon, Still singing great, in a rock club last year in Sweden. Eric was 23 years Here.
Check out their "Don't let me be misunderstood"
They quit due to Alan Price, keyboards, FEAR of Flying.
Eric Burdon, with War:" Spill THE Wine"!!! Worthwile!
This was recorded in One take! Different Times!
Bass player Chas Chandler became Jimi Hendrix manager.
THE song is an old trad. 17-18 hundreds. They changed it a Little. For THE better!!

This is one of those old blues songs that became widely popular when covered by a popular white band (kinda like how soul became more popular with bands like the Righteous Brothers, a genre knows as Blue-Eyed Soul to differentiate it from rhythm and blues originating with black singers, which formed because many radio stations wanted the soul sound, but not the black musicians.). One of the earlier recordings is by Lead Belly (1944) it's sung by his wife, I think, and is the 1925 version, which is sung from the point of view of a woman working at the House of the Rising Sun.
“There is a house in New Orleans they call the Rising Sun.
It’s been the ruin of many a poor girl and me, O God, for one.
If I had listened what Mama said, I’d be at home today.
Being so young and foolish, poor boy, let a rambler lead me astray.
Go tell my baby sister never do like I have done
To shun that house in New Orleans they call the Rising Sun.
    ua-cam.com/video/y5tOpyipNJs/v-deo.html
Another song made popular really early by Lead Belly is Where Did You Sleep Last Night?, the best contemporary cover is that, by most opinion, by Nirvana. Another one is Black Betty, covered much later by Ram Jam.

Well the lead singer's name is Eric Burdon, guitarists are Valentine and Chandler, on the keyboard is Alan Price and John Steel is the drummer. I was 14 years old when this song was released. Actually they are living except for Valentine. Unfortunately the band broke off in 1969, when the organ player decided to separate from them. Still to this day I keep listening to this song, and let me tell ye it never gets old. I just luv this song! ;)

Some acknowledge how the guitarist behind Eric was smiling is because the props were too low for the second bass guitarist. Eric is around 5’7, the lead guitarist is probably around 5’9 and the bass is probably around 6’4, to 6’6 and he had to duck each time and I believe the other guitarist thought it was quite funny and couldn’t keep it in. I think it was delightful.

    Glad you found this.
The quality of the images come from a colour UK movie for theatres for paying audiences in 64/65.. UA-cam has quite a few segments from this UK movie Pop Gear with the US contribution being to rename it Go Go Mania and add a few intro segments to satisfy the US audience.
A UA-cam search for Pop Gear Go Go Mania shows the segments :
    ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=pop+gear+go+go+mania
The intro by TCM explains the background of the film. While some of these segments were likely to be shown on US Colour TV much later, the source would originally be this high quality film. In 1964 images not recorded on film would be much lower quality videotape not the notable quality images used here. Especially with the inferior NTSC standards often called Never The Same Colour. So lucky the film was made instead of relying on low standard video tape recordings that were usually taped over anyway or telecine filming a TV screen. I would be amazed to see any video recording from 1964 up to this standard of image quality. Sound quality irrelevant as brtter sound source can easily replace a lesser quality early source. These films mainly used mimed performances as the vast majority of theatre audiences wanted to hear the music performance as they knew it from the records.

Hamish Stuart (from Scotland) sings the lead part with such a soulful sound that he gives you somewhat of a Marvin Gaye flavor & vibe...It's a song he wrote & dedicated it to his daughter, as he felt their relationship drifting apart and he didn't want that to happen!!!

Go to IMDB (International Movie Database) for info on song titles in any kind of film. It's a great resource for titles, actors, songs, genres, current and upcoming films or tv shows.

this song took the Beatles out of the number 1 slot-it's rhythm & blues--it's not a cowboy song at all -it's a slow burning waltz-full of sex-soul and tales of woe--down in New Orleans--it's been in many movies as has some of their other songs--alan Price on the vox continental organ--Eric Burdon vocals-chas Chandler-Bass guitar -Hilton Valentine guitar -john Steel -Drums

LMAO...the lone ranger...lol..mmmmm, no. In 1964 when singers sang a song it was them and the microphone....no electronics to enhance their voices like todays singers....in 64 the fcc wouldn't allow rude, lude and vulgar movements on tv....if they did the tv show would be pulled off the air...btw Eric Burdon...the singer...was 23 here....in England and Great Britain bordellos, bars and speakeasies are frequently called houses of the rising sun....
