My GOD Pete do you ever run out of incredible song ideas?! I listen to your demos more for the little tunes you write to demo the product than the product itself I think. None the less, I WILL be purchasing one of these chorus pedals. WELL WORTH IT. Ive been playing professionally for 47 years and chorus effect is often overlooked, over used , but it seems they all tend to sound the same in a blah way. THIS pedal however speaks to your soul in a way I haven't heard. LOVE IT! THANK YOU PETE!!
i am mostly just glad he explains gear so well. ( but his demo tunes are admittedly consistently bitchin' ) you could go all over UA-cam pulling out your hair trying to understand a piece of gear.... but if Pete does it, it's suddenly comprehensible.
Dude… you absolutely kill it.. The way you can jump between different styles of guitar playing and just be incredible In all genres blows my mind.. props to you, I want to learn that intro! I love jangley guitar!!
Sounds AWESOME! That Tricerachorus has tones that range from RUSH ("The Trees") to The Police ("Ghost in the Machine"), to The Pretenders and a ton of New Wavy, Gothy 80s bands. I might have to pick this 1 up (and I am very happy with my Strymon Chorus). Great playing Pete - Inspirational!
I love Chorus (having played in Rush cover band). I am also a huge Alex Lifeson fan. I have the FTT Tri-Avatar = phenomenal chorus, and for Acoustic gigs: The Boss DC-2W. This one sounds very nice too. Pete is so good. I could listen to him all day.
Been watching you on UA-cam for some time. You're extremely talented. I enjoy the way you explain the products you're using. You work magic with the Eventide devices. I bought the Eventide H9 after watching you demo it on UA-cam. It was an incredible demo! This demo sounded great as well. Lots of features with this chorus. Lots of tweaking possabilities. Typical Eventide product. Im a big fan of Eventide stuff. And a big fan of yours as well! BTW... I'm 66 years young. We're never too old as long as we can still function.
Chorus is one of my favourite Modulation effects. I've had an H9, I've had a bunch of classics. But this one sounds great and are much easier to use than the H9!
Sounds awesome man, can't wait to get one! I really like the controls, seems like they put the ones you want in there without menu diving which I have been there done that!
I bought one of these and have not regretted it! If you are a big chorus fan like me, get one of these babies! Great video, Pete. I watched this before I bought one, because I researching several before I made this purchase. You awesome video pretty much sealed the deal. That 80's Chorus rack was just a bit out of the price range for what I was doing. (But man, I wish I had one!!!!)
Oh man! I have an opportunity to get either a Tricerachorus or a Blackhole reverb and both of your breakdowns of these pedals sound SO good. Great coverage of the features. Can the Vibrato aspects of the tricerachorus mimic a tremelo at all, if the depth is rate, detune and pitch are brought down? I could really use a nice reverb in an effects send/return with my synths, guitar, and bass, but I ADORE playing with a rich chorus on a bass. I have a Boss chorus, but this seems so nice. I have some more standard reverbs available on a digitech multi-pedal from early 2000's and Yamaha FX550 from the 90's . Decisions, decisions...
It sounds like it would be great to capture Jerry Cantrell of “Alice In Chain’s” studio recording of “Rooster”. Thanks Pete, you always give a great description of everything and make it easy to understand for effects dummies like me.😁
To get THIS close with one single pedal is quite impressive.. Stereo-INS, Detune, AND Line Level as well.. DAMN...!!! It sounds WAY better than both Tri-Avatar and Inspire. I know because I have both. And it sounds way better than any analog mono-chorus (like Lil' Wave) out there as well.. This dino has found it's way to my pedalboard.🦖 My fave chorus-pedal for now. Hi 5's!!!
When you hit the swirl, I'm not sure why, but I thought of Steely Dan. I pulled up three of their tracks that I remember, and none of them seem to have any chorus... LoL Must be just the era getting into my head - all those good old bands from those days. Love the playing, as always - and yep, the pedal rocks!
Pete, it's been fun watching you use this new EMG-equipped strat of late. Totally takes me back to the late '80s when I started playing. I'm guessing you talked about this guitar in a Sunday stream? Just curious where the desire for EMGs came from. Thanks!
Mr. Thorn, the pop song you put together for this Video is absolutely Uplifting! Beautiful. Please tell me what is the "Gadget" you use to keep the effect in place?
Hi Pete! If I have been contemplating getting the Eventide Micropitch mostly for the detune feature (think 90s Van Halen) - as I have an MXR carbon copy which is my "always on" pedal - would you suggest this chorus pedal over the micropitch for that detune option? (running a EVH 51503 6l6 50w into Marshall 1960 BV cab) THANK YOU!!
Has anyone compared the pedal version vs the software versions?, since even on the pedal it's all software based (they're not "analog" pedals) the algorithms should sound the same, anyone with links to reviews doing this or personal experience comparing the hardware vs software versions?
Hi Peter , and all the readers. Does this pedal reproduce the tri chorus only or does it supply for example the ce1 and ce2 legendary vintage BOSS CORUS.?? Thank u in advance !
do you recommend using a pedal mixer and loop this pedal through it to preserve clean tone, or does this pedal do a good job of not digitizing the original signal when its off?
Can anyone provide info on how this pedal sounds used in just mono? I am intending on using this direct into one amp. Not sure I really need to spend the money on this if not used in stereo, even though it's great to have as an option.
@@PeteThorn That would be awesome, Pete. I’m curious if some of these pedal versions (Dimension C, Tricerachorus etc) stand up to the TERC, TC 1210 etc. That would be an awesome shootout.

Great playing Pete - Inspirational!
Most chorus tones recorded in the 80s are just flanger.
This has a beautiful Dean DeLeo / STP vibe to it - gorgeous 🤘🏼
The swirl sounds like a Leslie, this is a cool pedal for sure,I use the Eventide channel strip plugin pretty exclusively for all my sounds in my DAW 👍
Just Realized How Many Great Tones a Chorus Can Make?! Great Playing' Great Pedal! Thank You Pete!! Blessings and Tone Always🎸🎼
Great tones! I knew when the glasses came on it was time for the business, lol. Enjoyed!
exactly, haha!
@@PeteThorn Yes, I really Like the Glasses as well.
god that is the most beautiful chorus i have heard
Beautiful intro piece Pete.

Takes me back to my 80s goth band days. Awesome.
What pedals would you use back on the days?
Chorus is one of my favourite Modulation effects. I've had an H9, I've had a bunch of classics. But this one sounds great and are much easier to use than the H9!
It sounds so pretty! I have the H9 Max and the Micropitch. I think I need this! 👍😎
The H9 has the Tricera Chorus.
I think David Gilmour would like that Swirl Mode.
David Gilmour didn’t use chorus any more…
Uniquely accurate demonstration 👍 I immediately subscribed 🙂
Sounds awesome man, can't wait to get one! I really like the controls, seems like they put the ones you want in there without menu diving which I have been there done that!
Wow... Just like the Triack chorus. Great playing
thanks!

You need a flanger for that, don't forget
A vintage deluxe electric mistress flanger to be exact.
To get THIS close with one single pedal is quite impressive..
Stereo-INS, Detune, AND Line Level as well..

I hear a bit of Pretenders in some of these sounds. As always, Pete, you demo like no one else. You are a monster guitar player (in a good way).
Instant XTC/Dukes of Stratosphear vibe with that great intro, Pete! Love it!
hey GREAT chord progression and playing as usual...
thanks!
May have to revisit chorus pedals after this….
You are great at these type of reviews... i usually don't get much out of them... Perfect... Thanks...
Eventide crack it yet again!
Sounds Great 👌🏻
Sounds incredible
Intro sounds like the theme to an 80's sitcom starring Kristy McNichol..in a good way lol.
Really cool sounds from your really cool playing!
Insanely good.

Great video on the workings of this monster pedal...
Good stuff Pete! Great video, and thanks for sharing!
Mr Pete I hope you understand this video changed my life
Chorus can have a profound effect! Ha!
Great video, Pete! 80’s love here 😍. Are those the Luke’s EMG?. Cheers from Argentina.
Could not link up to eventide through your site . Maybe its my computer . Oh well .Thanks for the great video Pete the pedal sounds amazing .
Very cool! Will there be a Plug In version??? I would love to have this as a VST
I have the dg 20s emg I love them and yours sounds nice
Another fantastic Eventide product I can't afford. Great video, sounds amazing!
Great demo! Thanks!
Mr. Thorn, the pop song you put together for this Video is absolutely Uplifting! Beautiful. Please tell me what is the "Gadget" you use to keep the effect in place?
Great Job! 👊🏻❤️👊🏻
I love the D-Tune sound... I wonder if that is like what Pat Metheny used to do? 3 different amps 3 different delays, with only mod.

that does it, I'm going back to EMGs
Intro song has some serious Princeisms going on !
That intro was groovy AF! Love it!
Great demo as usual!...What's up with that Suhr? EMG"s? What model is that? Can the common man get that? lol
Great demo! To get the stereo effect do you have to have both 1&2 outs used, or can you get the stereo effect on either one?
The only way Eventide would get more notice is if it had original Klon on the box. 😂😂 Great demo just the same thanks. Respect and stay healthy all
What's the chord progression of the first part? Sounds very Dann Huff-like Pete!! Love your guitar work!!!!
Been using the Tricera chorus plugin! And it’s Lovely ❤️
Would this also give a proper micro pitch?
I have enough delays, so i’d like micro pitch and chorus in one box.
Smart decision to use EMG Lukather set with that pedal 😏😏
Nice intro!
Sounds like a winner... I guess I can go ahead and spend the money I saved in my Dytronics CS5 fund.
Great job bud.

Pedal names are becoming more interesting.
This video is making my MacBook speakers feel funny 🤣
Thanks
Love the 80’s flashback. How is the clipping?
tons of headroom
@@PeteThorn I’ll have to check one out.
Hi Peter , and all the readers. Does this pedal reproduce the tri chorus only or does it supply for example the ce1 and ce2 legendary vintage BOSS CORUS.?? Thank u in advance !
This or the Free the tone Tri Avatar 1 chorus. What would you recommend?
Has anyone compared the sound of the pedal vs the eventide vst or iPad app?
So for my lengthy space sound ,Delay reverb delay chorus….? 😬
I only have a mono Rig, I wonder what this is like in mono, as rich?
do you recommend using a pedal mixer and loop this pedal through it to preserve clean tone, or does this pedal do a good job of not digitizing the original signal when its off?
Pete, if you don't knock it off and stop doing these stunning demos... I'm going to be broke! ;-p
would love to try to match Stone Temple Pilots "Plush" sound using this.
Hi is the (micropitch) detune mode also stereo?
Is there an option to adjust the detuned voice to both sides too?
Hi Pete! Does it nail the dimension C/D sound?
Cocteau Twins would be proud of this pedal
That thing's gotta kinda Green Tinted 60s Mind👍
can the Walrus Julianna compete against the Tricerachorus?
This or Neunaber Inspire?
EMG's? 89,S,S ?
BEASTIE BOYS!
That sounds like swirly butter
I thought of Alex Lifeson too.
Can anyone provide info on how this pedal sounds used in just mono? I am intending on using this direct into one amp. Not sure I really need to spend the money on this if not used in stereo, even though it's great to have as an option.
Did I hear a Triumph lick?
How does this compare to the Fulltone TERC?
It’s a similar affect for sure, I’ve never done a direct a B, but I could
@@PeteThorn That would be awesome, Pete. I’m curious if some of these pedal versions (Dimension C, Tricerachorus etc) stand up to the TERC, TC 1210 etc. That would be an awesome shootout.
@@PeteThorn Go for it, I would like to see that
Swirl mode is what girls think of when they think of dreamy guys, I bet!!
Is it analog?
How much is it?
Does it get "Lumpy" ?
Not like a vibe but it definitely is deep and rich! And can get seasick
Purty
How does it sound in mono?
#HolyGrail Vintage Dytronics CS-5 Tri-Stereo Chorus Rack Unit 1980s Goodness in a pedal. #LUSH
I would put my Strymon Möbius up against it
The melody reminds me of Haley Reinhardt song (Honey, There's The Door): ua-cam.com/video/sADOjoNux9o/v-deo.html
this is a big deal!
