No, I would not buy it again. I bought mine at $790 before tax. It’s a cute piece but not a must have. For $1050, I can almost buy a Celine Ava bag. For mini pochette, I had the opportunity to buy one at $200 and 365 but I didn’t for both times, cuz there are so many designer makeup pouches that you could get it for free with purchases :p. I did regret not buying it at $200, but I was definitely on the fence for $365. PA on the other hand, I wanted it bad enough to swallow the $790 price tag.
Considering I got my PA in 2000 and paid $160 USD plus tax, I would never indulge in the current price! My PA is in great condition too! Great video as usual! 🎉
I'm new to LV. I personally think the price increase doesn't matter because I already missed it at "the best price". I either get it now or wait and pay more, or even worse pay above retail for pre loved.

Exactly! I just paid $745.00 for the MP… only because I wanted to complete my collection of SLGs. They cost more preloved sites and I ONLY wanted new. It was a pinch, however I’m done. LV us way too expensive for my budget.

The higher prices have actually encouraged me to be more thoughtful about purchases, treat my items better, and look forward to using them longer. I know I am paying more, but consuming less and happier with what I have. I feel like I am almost living in a more old-fashioned way, when things were made to last longer but cost a higher % of one's income.
I have the exact same pieces you’re talking about… and, at the current prices, I wouldn’t buy them again, is too much money!!! I bought mine back at the beginning of 2019 and if I remember correctly, I spent half of what they’re now. This price increase its insane and in my opinion doesn’t reflect the value of the items, they did because of the popularity, not the construction or the functionality of the pieces
Definitely not worth the price anymore. I would never pay the increased price for those two pieces. Charging those prices for items that aren’t real leather really boggles my mind. I am happy with my current collection, and moved on to Chanel 💜
I think the mini pochette is worth the price. I have the Damier Ebene & just recently acquired the Xmas edition mini p in Damier azure and monograms. They have multiple ways to use them. Example: it can be used as a mini bag, it fits the essentials. A card holder, car keys, hand sanitizer. You can also use it as a wallet- throw in credit cards, insurance cards, & cash. If you were to purchase a luxury wallet, they cost upwards of $500+ and you would only be able to use them as a wallet, no other way. However, once it reaches that $600 threshold & becomes more expensive than a wallet, I will no longer think it’s worth the price. The Pochette Accessories is not worth $1000. There are other bags you can buy in contemporary brands that are similar but cheaper. Or if you wanted to stay within lv, you can pay an addition $300 & get the nano speedy or nano noe.
Accessoire is now $1370 in Canada plus tax so $1548. I can’t see many of them selling at that price. I think people will try to find them on the preloved market instead.
I have both pieces from 6+ yrs ago and the prices now are insane. Not to mention quality. I recently bought a vintage perfect condition LV trousse 28 from 1989 and it is AMAZING compared to the newer canvas. I was truly shocked. I think I’m pretty much done with LV. And honestly, they’re probably glad! They’re obviously going for exclusivity like the higher end brands, after saturating the market with canvas pieces and then deciding they didn’t like seeing it on every other person on the street.
If I lost my mini pochette, I would probably still buy it at the current price. The pochette accessoires is a different story. I would not buy a new one if I lost mine at the current price. I have other LV bags that serve the same purpose such as the felicie and nano speedy. The current price of PA is too much. It’s an extortion.

In early 2020 I purchased the Pochette Accessoire from a resale shop for $420 on a whim. Its condition was excellent, and It’s been a very serviceable bag. Thank goodness I bought it when I did. I wouldn’t be able to stomach the purchase for over 1k!
Would buy again! Maybe not the mini, but the PA is a definite must. Also use all the time, simple, lightweight, easily slips into travel bags and looks great dressed up and down.
I own the LV mini pochette in monogram and I love it! 🥰 I use it mainly as a catch all in my small LV bags and small Coach bags but at this price point, I would not repurchase it. I think I’m just grateful that I was even able to get my hands on the mini pochette in monogram and it also be made in France. I remember when I purchased it in store, I wasn’t necessarily on the hunt for it. It just found me. 🙌🏽 The pochette accessoires never interested me so I definitely wouldn’t purchase this brand new. I’m so glad I purchased my Pochette Accessoires when it was $500. Although I think it’s a handy piece, I wouldn’t repurchase it at the current price. I actually sold my Mini Pochette because I hated the chain on it. It always got caught on other things trying to get it in & out of bags. I find a basic cosmetic pouch more user friendly.
The chain also derive me crazy but most time I push it under the zipper and into the inside of the bag so it’s not in the way. It still hangs out a bit but it’s at least not clanking on the canvas anymore.
These prices are crazy! I have two mini pochette: one in the DA print, the Evasion Xmas animation edition from 2015. I think the price was about $370 at that time. Another one is in the Mon Monogram (Heritage line). I bought it at $490 pre-tax in 2019. I carry my pochette accessories in DE as a crossbody bag. Good for everyday and travel. I bought it in 2017 at $500. All three pieces were made in France. I love and use them often. However I would not buy them again at the current price.
I decided I wanted both pieces last year and I also really liked the green strap that came with the MPA. With all of the rapid price increases, it made the most sense for me to purchase the MPA. With that purchase, I received those 3 desired pieces in addition to the smaller gold chain and the coin purse. Since both of those pieces are so hard to find, it was easier to secure the MPA. Now with the newest price increases, I’m so glad I did.
My husband and I were out of town and he insisted we go into LV I didn't want to because I always end up buying something lol I asked if they had the mini Pochette accessories and they had it! I was shook, I had been stalking it for over a year. Obviously I bought it, I am super excited about finding it!

In Canada they are $1370 plus 13% txs. I love my Pochette Accessoires, got mine almost 3 years ago when I turned 40, I was offered that bag on my birthday from the store manager and it's one of my favorites from my collection. I also have the 3 mini pochettes. I used them all, expect the one I want to give my daughter one day, that one I haven't use yet " Damier Azur". I have a small collection but love each piece. 💕
I wanted a toiletry pouch and still want one but I cannot let myself spend over $500 for it. I think my issue is amount for what it is. I’m not sure I’ll ever get over wanting one but will have to pass. I wish I would have kept my Damier Ebene makeup bag I bought in the early 2000s for around $200. They don’t even make that style anymore but it would have served the same purpose. Hindsight is 20/20 lol. You live and learn.

I remember buying a Mini Pochette and a Coach handbag for my birthday back in 2012, and I could NOT fathom the idea of paying the $245 CAD for the mini pochette vs a full leather handbag for $400 from Coach. Things are absolutely crazy now 😜 I feel back then, customers focused heavily on quality, craftsmanship, and practicality rather than only brand power. It’s also crazy how luxury brands have steadily increased their prices since then - thus causing customers to lose perspective. I definitely would not buy these 2 items at those prices, but they are amazing pieces nonetheless 💛
I started collecting luxury items at the beginning of this year, 2021. And already, most of my purses have gone up in price! I recently purchased the pochette accessories & the nano speedy & im in love with both of them!! Would I pay the current increased price for the PA, probably. But I am so glad I bought it while it was still under $1,000 👏👏 As for the mini pochettes, I have every print including empreinte & I love all of them. Although it’s unfortunate the prices are increasing, i think their price right now is still pretty reasonable considering how versatile it is.

I really don't know which one I should keep...If I go for the look, definately the mini pochette. It is very cute. My cell does not fit. though. The pochette fits more but does not have that wow look (in my opinion)...omg decisions, decisions...I am in Canada so the prices are even higher...I bought from the LV site and the mini pochette is 950 CAD plus taxes and the pochette accessoire 1640 CAD plus taxes. Hi Caroline! You seem smitten with the mini pochette so I say keep that cutie! If you are not as impressed with the Pochette accessoires, then maybe that’s the one that goes back. I will say, the PA is a super versatile piece - you can use it as a pouch, casual clutch, shoulder bag, crossbody bag if you add a longer strap… but YOU have to love it. That’s what’s most important!

Current price of $1290 made me rethink my purchase. I remembered when they were like $200 and I couldn’t buy them then because I thought it was too much, LOL!! What I decided to do was buy them on eBay used from Japanese resellers. I purchased like two for $700. I do not regret getting them in the preloved market because now I am not afraid to really used it. I would strongly recommend buying them from Japanese resellers. The laws are super strict in Japan so chances of buying fakes is almost zero.

I agree. These items are not necessities, but items that we elect to purchase. I am considering purchasing the mini pochette because I think it is a very versatile piece for my smaller handbags. It is worth it to me because I like and enjoy using luxury items.

Great video as always. For me personally, I have both of these items and I think if I used this bag all the time, I’d get the cost per wear and it’s a classic at the same time. However, at this juncture, I’m just glad I have both accessoires in mono and DA and even though I think I’d love the DE, I CANNOT justify spending $12-1300 for it on the pre-loved market. I think LV is also following pre-loved pricing trends. If someone is willing to pay a third party, we’ll, LV wants its cut.

Hey! Love your channel, it’s very honest and I like how you try to keep your collection relatively small. To the point of the video, the price increase is insane. I have several LV bags but actually never have been drawn to these two particular peaces and with current price I wouldn’t buy them for sure. I have alma BB in damier ebene and love it. think it’s much more practical than pochette, price gap not so big and it’s a real bag, so if I wouldn’t have any LV I’d go for something like this instead of pochette.
I purchased my mini pochette back in 2016 for $310 at the LV boutique. If lost I would never purchase again. I love Coach so I would buy the Nolita 19 instead.
I was late to the game with the MPA. I had wanted one but didn’t prioritize the purchase. I ended up getting one pre-loved a few months ago and am happy to have it. Given that it’s a versatile piece and you can use on a daily basis it might still be worth it.
Love both of these SLG’s however, I would not repurchase it again at the current price. I tend to use the pochette accessories a lot also so I bought two monogram and one in damier azur (made 2020 2021) after I sold two of my pre loved pochette accessories. I have the mini pochette in monogram, and I think it’s a gorgeous item, however I personally would not buy it again at its current price. I think it’s exclusivity is a big reason people make it a goal to own it. But when I think about its functionality on a day to day basis, it’s really just a small pouch that I end up passing over for my lesportsac cosmetic pouch that fits way more and is machine washable 🤷🏻♀️.
I searched high and low for the monogram mini pochette and managed to get it at the old price. I love it and maybe I would buy it again at the new price. The pochette accessories was on my list but now with that new price it is coming off my list - I’d rather add a bit more and buy a real bag with some complexity and design…..

I would rather get Prada nylon or go back to brands like Tory Burch or Coach! Ferragamo is even better than LV and most of their items are leather…. Over IT!
I was today at the LV boutique and the mini pouchette is really SO small! Doesn't fit my phone. I was looking for a handy pouch but then decided for the cosmetic pouch in Damier, that is almost half the price of the MP. I can't understand the hype around the MP just Bc of the chain? The Multi-Pouchette could be a good alternative to the mini little thing.
The prices are insane...I have both I paid 125.00 for my vintage PA it needed a new zipper , My mini PA was $325.00 preloved....Even the preloved market is insane for both these items I would not spend that much to replace either item
If influencers keep saying the price increase is still worth it than LV are going to keep increasing the price and silly people are going to act more desperate. They really are playing with our psychology. I am certainly done with LV. The price keeps going up and the quality keeps going down. I have a clemence wallet that I feel like throwing in the bin because lv will not admit to their flaws. I have hardly used it or enjoyed the damn thing. I have had so many other issues with other products and LV can be a nightmare to deal with.
I can’t comment on the mini pochette as I use the toiletry 15 as my catch all. I do have the pochette accessories and I purchased it from the resale market for USD 850. I personally find the pochette accessories an essential piece in my collection for the bad weather days when I don’t want to use my Constance 18. I think this mini bag is amazing and so versatile. I don’t have any other mini bags so I would re buy, but I can understand if you have another bad weather alternative you may not want to re buy it after a price hike. I think it is always to consider how satisfied you would be for a cheaper alternative. If you are happy, that’s fine. Buying a cheaper alternative and then buying the item you really want later is a false economy
Yeah is all relative. In fact in the pre loved market for the Pochette Accessories i was once offered even though i am not out there searching but somehow i shared with some other people in that chat that i hope to get one if i can get my hands on. She emailed me thereafter and offered a whopping price of $2.7K saying that is brand new. No thanks to that, i am not dying to get it but somehow i got super lucky that day so happened i am there too, i can pre order in the store last year August and waited for a good 4 months for it and got mine on Boxing day. It is very hard to get. In some other sites even a not so good condition is now selling at $1.5k now. Don't think that is any cheaper in the pre loved site too unless for those in not so good condition. If given for today's price, i don't think i will get it. Thanks for sharing.
my CA is holding a mini pochette for me, going to pick it up later, I have been wanting it for a long while and it's been on my list for a long time...i figure, this is my one chance to get it, if I wait any longer, I won't be able to get it...due to LV limiting their stock as they do, the price will go up some more... unfortunately for me, I have loved LV for the longest time, there is no other brand that makes me as happy...I have tried to stay away, but have learned to have only a few pieces that make me so happy and content, the mini pochette is the one item that I just never got. I'm excited to finally get it! I am not excited about the price, but it's my money and I work hard and I have nobody to gift me these things, so I want to gift myself...because I love me! PS. Bought the mini pochette around 2015 for Aud$350 for my little girl. Then at the beginning of 2020 wanted to add another and missed it by a couple of days as I didn't pay the link within the 1 hour window (was at work) so paid approx $100 extra at A$590 - that stung but still worth it. Now at A$785 - this might be the final frontier. Love it though as it's so versatile - catch all, wallet or mini handbag (or full size handbag for a little girl!). As for the PA, been on the waitlist forever and at this price - it's a no for me. I can get a Saint Laurent mini lou with all leather for that and I do have the LV Favourite MM which looks about the same but is more versatile and elegant. I have them both, and it's easy for me to say that I absolutely WOULDN'T repurchase the PA, but I'm not sure if I'd repurchase the Mini PA, same as you really! I use the Mini PA constantly though, so I'd be lost without it, the PA? I can live without it! 💕
I think I would get both again! I actually bought a preloved PA in monogram 2 days before he price increase because I loved my damier azure one. But I think I am taking a break from LV (all luxury bags actually) because I think I’m good right now on what I have
I will probably always invest in mini pochettes. The mini pochette is the only SLG I consistently use every day. I would rather have the MP than a wallet or key holder since it can, potentially, use it to replace either. I also use it as a bag organizer or a mini bag on its own and currently it’s holding my sunglasses so they don’t get scratched. I change bags so often I feel this is a must have item to make sure nothing gets left behind.
Here in 2022. I just got the PA at 1290 and will be getting the mini pouchette eventually regardless of price (I think). For the PA there isn’t a luxury dupe/ alternative. Im not new to the luxury scene. I have Hermes chanel LV Dior etc bags and wallets. Slgs weren’t my thing. Now that I’m a mom, I’ve been looking for a grab and go option that I could stuf into my diaper bag. It has to be pliable so it can get squeezed in there and water resistant due to sippy cup and snacks lol. I looked and looked. There really wasn’t a comparable luxury option. Chanel would be more expensive. I figure it’s double the price of an LV wallet and it’s double the size so it kinda makes sense? Lol. I converted pouches like my chanel deauville pouch into a bag but it really looks like a pouch. The PA looks like a tiny bag. Idk. I think it’s worth it. Even if I have other bags I still think it serves a different purpose. My YSL camera bag was 1050 when I got it and now it’s 1500-1700$ depending on the version… and the PA is more now… everything goes up anyways. I love chanel, Hermes, LV, Dior, fendi, prada. I could not find something comparable except prada pouch on strap in nylon for the same price$1200. But nylon! The wear would be worse than canvas and in the long run LV PA would last longer and hold value more …
I was offered a monogram mini pochette at the start of this year but I said no because I already have one in the Damier Ebene. With my lifestyle, 1 is enough and I’m glad that I resisted the temptation on not buying anymore items that I don’t need. PS the monogram one offered to me was made in Spain.
Great video I have a very old one bought 21 years ago I believe it was 200 and something back then ..I used it a lot but it is still showing it’s age , I was interested in a new one because of the changes made over the years . I been trying to get one on the website or in my local boutiques but no luck . Would I buy another one now 🤔probably not just too much .

I just take the plunge to buy the 2 xmas animation mini pochette despite of the 33% increase…yes, I‘m crazy doing that. But it was really the only my chance to get it because it was always oos in the web, even the SA didn’t help. I will just like to think that mine would be different and was really cute. I think it’s very beauftragen plus it’s a limited edition where as the plain canvass has the same price, which btw still oos in the website 😄 About the pochette accesories, nope I will not buy that. I would not pay the current price for it and be happy with vintage. I don’t have the mini pochette but have 3 bucket bag pochettes, which to me is much better value for what it is. It’s constructed just like the mini pochette, bigger (fits my phone), but without the chain. They are a bit hard to find online though. Anyway, I think mini pochettes are too hyped. For that price, I’d recommend the etui voyage pm which works wonderfully as a bag organizer or a clutch.
The min pochette looks like it should cost $150. Honestly they aren't enhancing the materials...you aren't getting $150+ more in quality or size...you're getting the same pouch for a lot more money for no reason at all.
I have the mini pochette in Damier Ebene ($365)which I’m currently using. I also got it in the monogram print earlier this year and paid $445, keeping it for future use, in case I lose my DE one. I will not buy it for the current price for sure. For the pochette accessoires… been trying to get my hands on one since it was priced at $525. Was hunting for it when it jumped to $790, but I don’t think I wanna shell out $1050 for a piece of simple handbag as you said. I think By Far has the Rachel bag that’s quite similar (and bigger)… I might go with that and save myself $800.
I have both. The Accessories is so worth it! It’s a nice sized bag and can be used as a handbag. I think the mini is too small to use as a mini purse (doesn’t hold a phone) but too big for a small catch all, in my opinion. Also I don’t want to put makeup in the mini and ruin it, so that means I don’t use it for that and don’t really use it at all. I do love how it looks and the pretty gold chain tho.
I had the DA mini pochette a few months ago and returned it. It looks like a little girls bag to me. I couldn’t find any use for it. I found the PA more useful. I can put my phone in it, put in my handbag or use it as a clutch. I don’t think either is worth their current price.
I think when talking about prices you have to factor in tax. For me the mini pochette with tax is about $600 and to me I don’t think it’s worth it. The PA with the new price point plus tax is now almost $1200. And, to me it’s definitely not worth it, especially when there are many luxury bags at a similar price point. Plus the PA isn’t designed as a bag, it is designed as an SLG so I don’t know if it will hold up. Gucci and Prada both offer cheaper bags than the PA thwt serve a similar function.
FYI: Originally the PA was an SLG, but when LV redesigned the PA in 2012, it was meant to be used as a mini handbag. That is why LV made the strap longer and lined the inside of the bag. Prior models of the PA were unlined and the strap was quite short.

With every major fashion house having huge price increase I can’t be shocked if though I am shocked that the prices are so high. People will still buy them regardless. If you want it you will get it.

I couldn’t justify buying it for the price even from the preloved market.💔 Since 2019, I’ve purchased one of the Viviene mini pochettes but this year might also be the last time I purchase any mini p’s from LV’s Holiday collection. I wouldn’t purchase either at those prices. I have both. I randomly saw a PA on the website last year and just purchased it because it was hard to find. And I randomly decided I wanted a mini PA and the website happened to have one in stock. But I can believe the PA is over $1k.
I think I paid $230 for my damier ebene mini pochette in 2007. Which is a pretty reasonable price. Imagine if the QUALITY and MATERIALS increased along with the price!! 😂😂😭 Alas. To my dismay, I did recently buy a damier azur MP in excellent condition from Fashionphile for basically the current retail price -- this print has been discontinued now. I chose one from FP from 2007! The quality back then was pretty much impeccable. But now with four mini pochettes in my collection, I am DONE.
Price increase happens every year, it is just inevitable and a fendi nano baguette is $750..the mini pochette is much bigger.. at the end of the day buy what you like to add in your collection and when your ready to rotate it will still hold value ..
Actually price increases did NOT happen every year until just a few years ago. This phenomenon of such frequent and significant increases only started in the past few years.
Mini Pochette is now $690 plus 13% tax in Canada! I was in hospital when the presale came out for Xmas animation so I wasn’t able to get it. That went up $90 which is a lot but way less than the increase on the regular one. I had ordered the my heritage personalized mini Pochette a couple of months ago & that one went up $170!
Oh wow. I sold my pochette nm in de some two years ago for a little over 300€… But I still don`t love it. Funny how the price increases make me feel like I had missed on something even though I did the decision myself, don`t regret not having a pochette, and pretty much got my money back when I sold it.
Many thanks for an interesting video. Certainly got one thinking 🤔. I've got the trifecta in the mini pochettes and a few in the Christmas collections across the years. I also have the PA in monogram csnvas so I'm pretty much done. However, if I had to buy them today, I certainly wouldn't pay that ridiculously high price for the PA. There are also various other options like the Favorite (older canvas versions), etc. But I might be tempted to indulge in the mini pochette again as I really am partial to this SLG 🙂.
New to your channel I have both purchased them in 2015. Love them both but for the prices also notice on the quality of the canvas is so thin these days no. Will not pay for it around a month ago . I purchase a speedy 25 omg I was so disappointed on the canvas super thin. There was a damage on the on the strap so I returned it. I had one and I gave it to my son girlfriend I wish I could turn the time around. And get that quality of canvas .

I have the mini which I use everyday- however at this point would use that money towards some fine jewelry that I could pass on to my daughters. It all adds up and I have enough purses.

No, I would not buy it again. I bought mine at $790 before tax. It’s a cute piece but not a must have. For $1050, I can almost buy a Celine Ava bag. For mini pochette, I had the opportunity to buy one at $200 and 365 but I didn’t for both times, cuz there are so many designer makeup pouches that you could get it for free with purchases :p. I did regret not buying it at $200, but I was definitely on the fence for $365. PA on the other hand, I wanted it bad enough to swallow the $790 price tag.
Considering I got my PA in 2000 and paid $160 USD plus tax, I would never indulge in the current price! My PA is in great condition too! Great video as usual! 🎉

I'm new to LV. I personally think the price increase doesn't matter because I already missed it at "the best price". I either get it now or wait and pay more, or even worse pay above retail for pre loved.

The higher prices have actually encouraged me to be more thoughtful about purchases, treat my items better, and look forward to using them longer. I know I am paying more, but consuming less and happier with what I have. I feel like I am almost living in a more old-fashioned way, when things were made to last longer but cost a higher % of one's income.

Definitely not worth the price anymore. I would never pay the increased price for those two pieces. Charging those prices for items that aren’t real leather really boggles my mind. I am happy with my current collection, and moved on to Chanel 💜

I think the mini pochette is worth the price. I have the Damier Ebene & just recently acquired the Xmas edition mini p in Damier azure and monograms. They have multiple ways to use them. Example: it can be used as a mini bag, it fits the essentials. A card holder, car keys, hand sanitizer. You can also use it as a wallet- throw in credit cards, insurance cards, & cash. If you were to purchase a luxury wallet, they cost upwards of $500+ and you would only be able to use them as a wallet, no other way. However, once it reaches that $600 threshold & becomes more expensive than a wallet, I will no longer think it’s worth the price.
The Pochette Accessories is not worth $1000. There are other bags you can buy in contemporary brands that are similar but cheaper. Or if you wanted to stay within lv, you can pay an addition $300 & get the nano speedy or nano noe.
Accessoire is now $1370 in Canada plus tax so $1548. I can’t see many of them selling at that price. I think people will try to find them on the preloved market instead.

I have both pieces from 6+ yrs ago and the prices now are insane. Not to mention quality. I recently bought a vintage perfect condition LV trousse 28 from 1989 and it is AMAZING compared to the newer canvas. I was truly shocked. I think I’m pretty much done with LV. And honestly, they’re probably glad! They’re obviously going for exclusivity like the higher end brands, after saturating the market with canvas pieces and then deciding they didn’t like seeing it on every other person on the street.
If I lost my mini pochette, I would probably still buy it at the current price. The pochette accessoires is a different story. I would not buy a new one if I lost mine at the current price. I have other LV bags that serve the same purpose such as the felicie and nano speedy. The current price of PA is too much. It’s an extortion.

In early 2020 I purchased the Pochette Accessoire from a resale shop for $420 on a whim. Its condition was excellent, and It’s been a very serviceable bag. Thank goodness I bought it when I did. I wouldn’t be able to stomach the purchase for over 1k!

I own the LV mini pochette in monogram and I love it! 🥰 I use it mainly as a catch all in my small LV bags and small Coach bags but at this price point, I would not repurchase it. I think I’m just grateful that I was even able to get my hands on the mini pochette in monogram and it also be made in France. I remember when I purchased it in store, I wasn’t necessarily on the hunt for it. It just found me. 🙌🏽

I’m so glad I purchased my Pochette Accessoires when it was $500. Although I think it’s a handy piece, I wouldn’t repurchase it at the current price. I actually sold my Mini Pochette because I hated the chain on it. It always got caught on other things trying to get it in & out of bags. I find a basic cosmetic pouch more user friendly.
The chain also derive me crazy but most time I push it under the zipper and into the inside of the bag so it’s not in the way. It still hangs out a bit but it’s at least not clanking on the canvas anymore.
These prices are crazy! I have two mini pochette: one in the DA print, the Evasion Xmas animation edition from 2015. I think the price was about $370 at that time. Another one is in the Mon Monogram (Heritage line). I bought it at $490 pre-tax in 2019. I carry my pochette accessories in DE as a crossbody bag. Good for everyday and travel. I bought it in 2017 at $500. All three pieces were made in France. I love and use them often. However I would not buy them again at the current price.
I’m still waiting for the my heritage mini Pochette but I’m glad I ordered it when I did because it went from $750 to $920 plus 13% tax.
I decided I wanted both pieces last year and I also really liked the green strap that came with the MPA. With all of the rapid price increases, it made the most sense for me to purchase the MPA. With that purchase, I received those 3 desired pieces in addition to the smaller gold chain and the coin purse. Since both of those pieces are so hard to find, it was easier to secure the MPA. Now with the newest price increases, I’m so glad I did.

I love my Pochette Accessoires, got mine almost 3 years ago when I turned 40, I was offered that bag on my birthday from the store manager and it's one of my favorites from my collection. I also have the 3 mini pochettes. I used them all, expect the one I want to give my daughter one day, that one I haven't use yet " Damier Azur". I have a small collection but love each piece. 💕
I wanted a toiletry pouch and still want one but I cannot let myself spend over $500 for it. I think my issue is amount for what it is. I’m not sure I’ll ever get over wanting one but will have to pass. I wish I would have kept my Damier Ebene makeup bag I bought in the early 2000s for around $200. They don’t even make that style anymore but it would have served the same purpose. Hindsight is 20/20 lol. You live and learn.

I remember buying a Mini Pochette and a Coach handbag for my birthday back in 2012, and I could NOT fathom the idea of paying the $245 CAD for the mini pochette vs a full leather handbag for $400 from Coach. Things are absolutely crazy now 😜 I feel back then, customers focused heavily on quality, craftsmanship, and practicality rather than only brand power. It’s also crazy how luxury brands have steadily increased their prices since then - thus causing customers to lose perspective. I definitely would not buy these 2 items at those prices, but they are amazing pieces nonetheless 💛

I really don't know which one I should keep...If I go for the look, definately the mini pochette. It is very cute. My cell does not fit. though. Hi Caroline! You seem smitten with the mini pochette so I say keep that cutie! If you are not as impressed with the Pochette accessoires, then maybe that’s the one that goes back. I will say, the PA is a super versatile piece - you can use it as a pouch, casual clutch, shoulder bag, crossbody bag if you add a longer strap… but YOU have to love it. That’s what’s most important!

Just bought off this in Bicolour Monogram Empreinte Leather for my wife at SGD 1,220. Watching this video now made me realise how costly it increased over the years!
Current price of $1290 made me rethink my purchase. I remembered when they were like $200 and I couldn’t buy them then because I thought it was too much, LOL!! What I decided to do was buy them on eBay used from Japanese resellers. I purchased like two for $700. I do not regret getting them in the preloved market because now I am not afraid to really used it. I would strongly recommend buying them from Japanese resellers. The laws are super strict in Japan so chances of buying fakes is almost zero.

I agree. These items are not necessities, but items that we elect to purchase. I am considering purchasing the mini pochette because I think it is a very versatile piece for my smaller handbags. It is worth it to me because I like and enjoy using luxury items.

Great video as always. For me personally, I have both of these items and I think if I used this bag all the time, I’d get the cost per wear and it’s a classic at the same time. However, at this juncture, I’m just glad I have both accessoires in mono and DA and even though I think I’d love the DE, I CANNOT justify spending $12-1300 for it on the pre-loved market. I think LV is also following pre-loved pricing trends. If someone is willing to pay a third party, we’ll, LV wants its cut.
I don’t know if the brands drive up the resale market or if the resale market drives up the brands prices but either way, it’s a vicious cycle!

To the point of the video, the price increase is insane. I have several LV bags but actually never have been drawn to these two particular peaces and with current price I wouldn’t buy them for sure. I have alma BB in damier ebene and love it. think it’s much more practical than pochette, price gap not so big and it’s a real bag, so if I wouldn’t have any LV I’d go for something like this instead of pochette.
I purchased my mini pochette back in 2016 for $310 at the LV boutique. If lost I would never purchase again. I love Coach so I would buy the Nolita 19 instead.
I was late to the game with the MPA. I had wanted one but didn’t prioritize the purchase. I ended up getting one pre-loved a few months ago and am happy to have it. Given that it’s a versatile piece and you can use on a daily basis it might still be worth it.
Love both of these SLG’s however, I would not repurchase it again at the current price. I tend to use the pochette accessories a lot also so I bought two monogram and one in damier azur (made 2020 2021) after I sold two of my pre loved pochette accessories. I have the mini pochette in monogram, and I think it’s a gorgeous item, however I personally would not buy it again at its current price. I think it’s exclusivity is a big reason people make it a goal to own it. But when I think about its functionality on a day to day basis, it’s really just a small pouch that I end up passing over for my lesportsac cosmetic pouch that fits way more and is machine washable 🤷🏻♀️.
I searched high and low for the monogram mini pochette and managed to get it at the old price. I love it and maybe I would buy it again at the new price. The pochette accessories was on my list but now with that new price it is coming off my list - I’d rather add a bit more and buy a real bag with some complexity and design…..

I would rather get Prada nylon or go back to brands like Tory Burch or Coach! Ferragamo is even better than LV and most of their items are leather…. Over IT!
I was today at the LV boutique and the mini pouchette is really SO small! Doesn't fit my phone. I was looking for a handy pouch but then decided for the cosmetic pouch in Damier, that is almost half the price of the MP. I can't understand the hype around the MP just Bc of the chain?

The prices are insane...I have both I paid 125.00 for my vintage PA it needed a new zipper , My mini PA was $325.00 preloved....Even the preloved market is insane for both these items I would not spend that much to replace either item

I am certainly done with LV. The price keeps going up and the quality keeps going down. I have a clemence wallet that I feel like throwing in the bin because lv will not admit to their flaws. I have hardly used it or enjoyed the damn thing. I have had so many other issues with other products and LV can be a nightmare to deal with.
I can’t comment on the mini pochette as I use the toiletry 15 as my catch all.
I do have the pochette accessories and I purchased it from the resale market for USD 850.
I personally find the pochette accessories an essential piece in my collection for the bad weather days when I don’t want to use my Constance 18. I think this mini bag is amazing and so versatile. I don’t have any other mini bags so I would re buy, but I can understand if you have another bad weather alternative you may not want to re buy it after a price hike.
I think it is always to consider how satisfied you would be for a cheaper alternative. If you are happy, that’s fine. Buying a cheaper alternative and then buying the item you really want later is a false economy
Yeah is all relative. In fact in the pre loved market for the Pochette Accessories i was once offered even though i am not out there searching but somehow i shared with some other people in that chat that i hope to get one if i can get my hands on. She emailed me thereafter and offered a whopping price of $2.7K saying that is brand new. No thanks to that, i am not dying to get it but somehow i got super lucky that day so happened i am there too, i can pre order in the store last year August and waited for a good 4 months for it and got mine on Boxing day. It is very hard to get. In some other sites even a not so good condition is now selling at $1.5k now. Don't think that is any cheaper in the pre loved site too unless for those in not so good condition. If given for today's price, i don't think i will get it. Thanks for sharing.

my CA is holding a mini pochette for me, going to pick it up later, I have been wanting it for a long while and it's been on my list for a long time...i figure, this is my one chance to get it, if I wait any longer, I won't be able to get it...due to LV limiting their stock as they do, the price will go up some more... unfortunately for me, I have loved LV for the longest time, there is no other brand that makes me as happy...I have tried to stay away, but have learned to have only a few pieces that make me so happy and content, the mini pochette is the one item that I just never got. Bought the mini pochette around 2015 for Aud$350 for my little girl. Then at the beginning of 2020 wanted to add another and missed it by a couple of days as I didn't pay the link within the 1 hour window (was at work) so paid approx $100 extra at A$590 - that stung but still worth it. Now at A$785 - this might be the final frontier. Love it though as it's so versatile - catch all, wallet or mini handbag (or full size handbag for a little girl!). As for the PA, been on the waitlist forever and at this price - it's a no for me. I can get a Saint Laurent mini lou with all leather for that and I do have the LV Favourite MM which looks about the same but is more versatile and elegant. As always, love your insightful videos and sincerity.

I have them both, and it's easy for me to say that I absolutely WOULDN'T repurchase the PA, but I'm not sure if I'd repurchase the Mini PA, same as you really! I use the Mini PA constantly though, so I'd be lost without it, the PA? I can live without it! 💕
I think I would get both again! I actually bought a preloved PA in monogram 2 days before he price increase because I loved my damier azure one. But I think I am taking a break from LV (all luxury bags actually) because I think I’m good right now on what I have
I will probably always invest in mini pochettes. The mini pochette is the only SLG I consistently use every day. I would rather have the MP than a wallet or key holder since it can, potentially, use it to replace either. I also use it as a bag organizer or a mini bag on its own and currently it’s holding my sunglasses so they don’t get scratched. I change bags so often I feel this is a must have item to make sure nothing gets left behind.
Here in 2022. I just got the PA at 1290 and will be getting the mini pouchette eventually regardless of price (I think). For the PA there isn’t a luxury dupe/ alternative. Im not new to the luxury scene. I have Hermes chanel LV Dior etc bags and wallets. Slgs weren’t my thing. Now that I’m a mom, I’ve been looking for a grab and go option that I could stuf into my diaper bag. It has to be pliable so it can get squeezed in there and water resistant due to sippy cup and snacks lol. I looked and looked. There really wasn’t a comparable luxury option. Chanel would be more expensive. I figure it’s double the price of an LV wallet and it’s double the size so it kinda makes sense? Lol. I converted pouches like my chanel deauville pouch into a bag but it really looks like a pouch. The PA looks like a tiny bag. Idk. I think it’s worth it. Even if I have other bags I still think it serves a different purpose. My YSL camera bag was 1050 when I got it and now it’s 1500-1700$ depending on the version… and the PA is more now… everything goes up anyways. I love chanel, Hermes, LV, Dior, fendi, prada. I could not find something comparable except prada pouch on strap in nylon for the same price$1200. But nylon! The wear would be worse than canvas and in the long run LV PA would last longer and hold value more …
I was offered a monogram mini pochette at the start of this year but I said no because I already have one in the Damier Ebene. With my lifestyle, 1 is enough and I’m glad that I resisted the temptation on not buying anymore items that I don’t need.
PS the monogram one offered to me was made in Spain.

Great video I have a very old one bought 21 years ago I believe it was 200 and something back then ..I used it a lot but it is still showing it’s age , I was interested in a new one because of the changes made over the years . I been trying to get one on the website or in my local boutiques but no luck . Would I buy another one now 🤔probably not just too much .
The prices are just insane, I actually prefer the canvas to the leather for LV brand. The prices are outlandish though, considering the functionality of these two rather small bags. The mini pochette wouldn't even fit a cell phone, I'm shocked they are charging well over $700+ for it. Btw, I like both of the mini bags/pouches but not enough to pay this price. I'd rather pay a little more and get something like an Alma BB.
Any suggestions on a bag comparable to the Pochette accessoires?

If I lost them I think I would purchase a mini pochette, but not the pochette accessories at that price lol. I feel lucky to have found a pochette accessories in the first place, so I'm very happy that it is part of my collection.
ّI bought PA with this increase but I'm glad I did because I know it will cost more in near future ,mine was from the boutique itself so yes I'm happy and it's more useful than the mini .
I just take the plunge to buy the 2 xmas animation mini pochette despite of the 33% increase…yes, I‘m crazy doing that. But it was really the only my chance to get it because it was always oos in the web, even the SA didn’t help. I will just like to think that mine would be different and was really cute. I think it’s very beauftragen plus it’s a limited edition where as the plain canvass has the same price, which btw still oos in the website 😄
About the pochette accesories, nope I will not buy that. There alma bb is already in this range and more chic I guess.
I have the PA which I paid $790 plus tax. My husband got me a vintage one (2002) for $500 in pristine condition but I still kept the new version because it was so hard to get. I would not pay the current price for it and be happy with vintage. I don’t have the mini pochette but have 3 bucket bag pochettes, which to me is much better value for what it is. It’s constructed just like the mini pochette, bigger (fits my phone), but without the chain. They are a bit hard to find online though. Anyway, I think mini pochettes are too hyped. For that price, I’d recommend the etui voyage pm which works wonderfully as a bag organizer or a clutch.

The min pochette looks like it should cost $150. Honestly they aren't enhancing the materials...you aren't getting $150+ more in quality or size...you're getting the same pouch for a lot more money for no reason at all.
I have the mini pochette in Damier Ebene ($365)which I’m currently using. I also got it in the monogram print earlier this year and paid $445, keeping it for future use, in case I lose my DE one. I will not buy it for the current price for sure. For the pochette accessoires… been trying to get my hands on one since it was priced at $525. Was hunting for it when it jumped to $790, but I don’t think I wanna shell out $1050 for a piece of simple handbag as you said. I think By Far has the Rachel bag that’s quite similar (and bigger)… I might go with that and save myself $800.
I have both. The Accessories is so worth it! It’s a nice sized bag and can be used as a handbag. I think the mini is too small to use as a mini purse (doesn’t hold a phone) but too big for a small catch all, in my opinion. Also I don’t want to put makeup in the mini and ruin it, so that means I don’t use it for that and don’t really use it at all. I do love how it looks and the pretty gold chain tho.
I had the DA mini pochette a few months ago and returned it. It looks like a little girls bag to me. I couldn’t find any use for it. I found the PA more useful. I can put my phone in it, put in my handbag or use it as a clutch. I don’t think either is worth their current price.
I think when talking about prices you have to factor in tax. For me the mini pochette with tax is about $600 and to me I don’t think it’s worth it. The PA with the new price point plus tax is now almost $1200. And, to me it’s definitely not worth it, especially when there are many luxury bags at a similar price point. Plus the PA isn’t designed as a bag, it is designed as an SLG so I don’t know if it will hold up. Gucci and Prada both offer cheaper bags than the PA thwt serve a similar function.
FYI: Originally the PA was an SLG, but when LV redesigned the PA in 2012, it was meant to be used as a mini handbag. That is why LV made the strap longer and lined the inside of the bag. Prior models of the PA were unlined and the strap was quite short.

For some reason my comment didn’t post. I have 3 mini pochettes in all the classic prints. I am so glade I got it for the prices that I did. With every major fashion house having huge price increase I can’t be shocked if though I am shocked that the prices are so high. People will still buy them regardless. If you want it you will get it.
I’ve always wanted to add the pochette accessoire to my collection but by the second price increase I’ve decided not to get it anymore. I couldn’t justify buying it for the price even from the preloved market.💔 Since 2019, I’ve purchased one of the Viviene mini pochettes but this year might also be the last time I purchase any mini p’s from LV’s Holiday collection. The increase was astronomical 😭
Absolutely not! I love mine but would not even consider it at these prices. I think the Alma BB is the only canvas piece that's worth the price now; at least you get some great design elements....these are just oblongs 😉
I wouldn’t purchase either at those prices. I have both. I randomly saw a PA on the website last year and just purchased it because it was hard to find. And I randomly decided I wanted a mini PA and the website happened to have one in stock. But I can believe the PA is over $1k.
I think I paid $230 for my damier ebene mini pochette in 2007. Which is a pretty reasonable price. Imagine if the QUALITY and MATERIALS increased along with the price!! 😂😂😭 Alas.
To my dismay, I did recently buy a damier azur MP in excellent condition from Fashionphile for basically the current retail price -- this print has been discontinued now. I chose one from FP from 2007! The quality back then was pretty much impeccable. But now with four mini pochettes in my collection, I am DONE.

Price increase happens every year, it is just inevitable and a fendi nano baguette is $750..the mini pochette is much bigger.. at the end of the day buy what you like to add in your collection and when your ready to rotate it will still hold value ..
Actually price increases did NOT happen every year until just a few years ago. This phenomenon of such frequent and significant increases only started in the past few years.
Mini Pochette is now $690 plus 13% tax in Canada! I was in hospital when the presale came out for Xmas animation so I wasn’t able to get it. That went up $90 which is a lot but way less than the increase on the regular one. I had ordered the my heritage personalized mini Pochette a couple of months ago & that one went up $170!

Oh wow. I sold my pochette nm in de some two years ago for a little over 300€… But I still don`t love it. Funny how the price increases make me feel like I had missed on something even though I did the decision myself, don`t regret not having a pochette, and pretty much got my money back when I sold it.
I would like to own one pochette accessories but the price is so crazy and I am still struggling.

I've got the trifecta in the mini pochettes and a few in the Christmas collections across the years. I also have the PA in monogram csnvas so I'm pretty much done.
However, if I had to buy them today, I certainly wouldn't pay that ridiculously high price for the PA. There are also various other options like the Favorite (older canvas versions), etc. But I might be tempted to indulge in the mini pochette again as I really am partial to this SLG 🙂.

New to your channel I have both purchased them in 2015. Love them both but for the prices also notice on the quality of the canvas is so thin these days no. Will not pay for it around a month ago . I purchase a speedy 25 omg I was so disappointed on the canvas super thin. There was a damage on the on the strap so I returned it. I had one and I gave it to my son girlfriend I wish I could turn the time around. And get that quality of canvas .
The quality decline is a real issue. I wonder if many of us would be fine with the increased prices if the quality increased as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I have the mini which I use everyday- however at this point would use that money towards some fine jewelry that I could pass on to my daughters. It all adds up and I have enough purses.
