- In round one of the 2004 season, Canterbury Bulldogs coach Steve Folkes blooded a young Kiwi in the centres during a grudge match against Parramatta.
There was plenty of hype around the kid, but would he be able to live up to his potential?

1. Patten 6. Thurston 7. Shifty 9. Hughes 13. Anasta.
What a spine to work with.
Elmasri sure had magic boots. His goal kicking was just beautiful 👌
What a stacked team
Who would have thought the first break by SBW was from a pass from the legend half himself JT
Loved the sbw era. Entertaining, innovating, game changing, memorable, hype worthy. Too good
not a smartphone in site in the crowd, thats so awesome... everyone living in the moment.
oh what a team the Bulldogs had, all legends!!
That Bulldogs team was stacked.
2:30 thats pretty cool to be a rookie and getting praise from the commentary and then making a timely line break. Brilliant.
Team was stacked with Oz and Kiwi legends
I remember this dogs team. The comp just looked unfair cos they were that good. Roosters, broncos were fun to watch
Patten, El Masri, Williams, Tonga, Lolesi; Thurston, Sherwin; Scott, Hughes, Price (C), Mason, Ryan, Anasta. Int: Grimaldi, Asotasi, Maiava, Maitua.
Stack team!
Man how bad is that field with sand. Especially for round 1!
How good no bunker lol the dogs had a stacked team, best they ever had
Who was their talent scout back then?!
And they let JT go 🫣🫣
If they didn't let JT go bulldogs would have won more grand finals with that forward pack
he wasn't putting on weight for ''first grade football'' so they released him, his defending was outstanding and so was his attack but they didn't think his body would last long in first grade.
lol the uniforms look hellah loose back in the day lol
Dogs won in 2004
How they fit all those names I. Salary cap
They weren't star players yet, they wouldn't have been getting payed much.
Hazems double movement try in the 2004 grand final is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen
Except it wasn’t a double movement
@@marcus86tiger I’m not going to stop you from being delusional
@@TooSweetForLife ball and ball carrying arm never hit the ground, it was in the in goal area. All this means it wasn’t a double movement. Nothing delusional about seeing it for what it is.
@@marcus86tiger a double movement means you had a second go 🥱
Dw bro it’s ok, it’s a dodgy sport anyway, that’s why there’s dodgy calls every week 👌
Stay asleep homie
@@marcus86tiger tell me you’re a doggies fan without telling me you’re a doggies fan bruh
First like and comment🎉🥳🎊
Is there a better debut in history ?
Amos Roberts is a contender. Scored 22 points
Andrew Johns
@@KojoGotMojo nah, his debut was in 1993 against Gold Coast. He came off the bench
Back when league was a mans game
