Loved the B Roll, something I need to get on top of. I have the NIKON Z 105mm Macro lens, do not use it anywhere near enough as it is another bit of weight to carry. Beautiful images of the guest to the show, thought he was going to have your bag away lol. Some stunning images Keith, thanks for sharing :)
Thanks paul, B-Roll is a hard one, it's a lot of work and most of the time I just want to be taking photos lol. Macro lens + Flash is more kit to carry so now I have a Macro go bag so when I go to take Macro photos I just take the Macro kit rather than my entire landscape set up, I was very happy with those shots, a great morning shooting, well worth the bitter cold.
As I watch this video, my local temp is 48F (8.9C) at 4:25 am. Your icy video made me 🥶 so I powered on the central heat! I dig how that inquisitive robin checked you out, as if to say, get me out of this cold! Keith, you captured the subjects very nicely. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Bob, thanks for commenting, wow our average Summer temp is 48-64F (9-18c) During the day, I did have fun watching him fly around me for quite a while, I have added some seeds to my bag incase I come across another friendly visitor.

Love the shots of the Robin- well done-- maybe a suggestion - try to balance the volume of the music with your words--I find I am turning up your voice and turning down the music as I watch

Greetings Keth I truly enjoyed this one. Early winter for me is about the only time I enjoy going out. The rest of winter would be by a fire place looking out. Cold weather isn't for me. Frost images are what I look forward to trying my hand at. I am more aware weather person. I purchased a 105mm macro. Lens because of the pervious lock down issue we all went through. I like the title, " Micro Mondays ." I now I'll enjoy seeing what you decide to present because I enjoy shooting macro images. Keep up the good work.
Hey Jeffrey, thanks for the comment, I have to admit I am not a winter person personally, as in, I love winter but not going out in it. I couldn't pass up the opportunity for some frosty images though. The Macro world is such an interesting place to photograph, isn't it! At least one good thing came out of the lockdown, fingers crossed you get some Frost soon :-)
Hi Kevin, thanks, I did leave my camera in the bag for the first 20 mins or so, I think that helps acclimatise the gear when you take it from a nice warm house
Hi Keith hope you're well, the Robin was definitely a posser, and you captured some great photos of the little guy. A great set of photos, my favourite was the barbed wire definitely worth venturing out on a cold frosty day. What lens were you using? looking forward to more macro Monday's. Hi Jon hope you are both well, that whole Robin scene was cut down a lot, he hung around for a few pics at one point he landed on a twig right next to my leg but when I turned to see where he landed it scared him off, I quite often get visited by them so I’m going to keep some seed handy, I agree with you on the Barbed wire, I think that one turned out the best overall, I am using the Canon L series 100mm macro lens, beautiful lens, great for portraits too.
The freezing weather lasted a week then it snowed then it pished with rain . Where i live north of the border . But the days i went out . I never considered doing Macro was more focused getting a November winter sunset . by god by the time i got home my hands were painfully numb from the feeezing cold and i was wearing 2 pairs of Gloves .
Awesome, Nice lens, I struggle with the wide I have let alone an ultra wide lol. If your on VERO I’d love to see some photos from that lens and your winter shots.
I did some focus stacking for frost but it really must be extremely challenging for the software based upon the ice crystals - not a total disaster but not perfect.

I have recently switched my camera form a Canon XA11 to a Galaxy S10 which I had sittiing around in my draw, it seems to do a good job

Hopefully you had a good time taking the photos at least, to make those freezing hands worth it 😀, did you get a good winter sunset shot?

Hey Steve, I agree it must be a lot of work to blend such complex images. I found I needed to crop quite a bit to get some of the imperfections out.
And your editing too would be great.
