  • Mark Cruz of Nikon Canada examines one of the most important accessories that a photographer can own: an external speedlight. Getting more natural and creative looking portraits should be a goal for everyone, and a speedlight helps you down that path regardless of if you want to shoot full manual or using Nikon’s i-TTL automatic metering.
    What is i-TTL metering? - 0:35
Natural looking indoor shots - 2:29
    Flash Exposure compensation - 4:29

You can use also a flash diffuser to avoid harsh shadows on the subject

Please show more flash videos and settings on the Nikon Z6. I am using the Godox V1 and would love to see how you are setting this up.

Good video, but I notice that my light meter shows underexposed with speedlight attached, even though it is not. Any thoughts why this is? I have a D3500, shooting in Manual Mode. Also, what camera, settings and lens did you use and what settings did you use on the flash?

Fash photograpy is ok for commercial work ..when it comes to people..red eye...people closing their eyes when flash used....overral i keep well away from flash photograpy for people...flash photography is about selling flash guns..don't waste your money on flash guns ..which you will use occasionally
