That was terrible to read, and when I got to the part of your dad's death i was truly shocked, as my father died of pancreatic cancer at 58. I had a tin dolls house around 1948-49 that disappeared in a move in 1960.. Just this week I found one in a local thrift store that looks exactly like mine, 3,000 miles from my childhood home. As you can surmise by that date, I am now elderly. Such an emotional find. I truly hope your house comes to you some day.
I’m not same age as you guys but this makes me sad, Im now trying to get my parents to make me a dollhouse. I hope you find your originals and or you could make one! Don’t lose hope

@@sheep1ewe Hello Vampi. Yes, Heidi Ott dolls are wonderful but also very expensive. If you buy Heidi Ott clothes they are more expensive than the clothes I buy for myself. You mention about the boys. My husband and I are both retired police officers. The little boy next door is at the age now where he likes toys that are a little more sophisticated than the plastic squeakers. We buy 1:43 scale diecast police cars for his birthday and Christmas. He has quite a large collection already because I usually give him 2. I have a bag full in the attic for a number of birthdays and Christmases to come! I went a little crazy buying them. Recently I bought some figurines (which I have to paint myself, oh, oh) and tiny handcuffs. I have 2 robbers who are putting a large wooden box into the trunk of a car that I've distressed by putting some bangs and paint scatches into. I bought tiny money bills to put in the box, which I'll have them carry upside down and glue the bills together so they look like they are falling out. You have a good idea for the boys. There are so many cool things to buy for workshops and garages. You'll have fun with that. I bought items for the yard and the planting bench and the pond etc. which mimics our yard. i just don't know where to situate the yard when i finally find someone who can build for me. The craftmanship is impressive, and there are so many tiny details. A true artist made this dollhouse.

@@averyfinewoman If you don't mind me asking, how much did you have to spend in the creation? I'm running short on $$$ for the one's I have. Any advice would be great? Should I buy cheap furnishings or wait until I can get nicer things? Lights are very thin at this point.
@@robindees556 if you would go to my channel, I will be happy to answer questions and help if possible.
Absolutely Amazing! Love it.
Awesome doll house and the details are unbelievably amazing. It's so realistic and there's so much to look at 😊. Nice job.
Love stepping into the past like this, the 50's car in the garage, the chrome legged kitchen table, the dated tile in the bathroom, the medicine cabinet even opens. Just wonderful
Absolutely beautiful and amazing!!! Best one I've ever seen.
The dolls living in there must be hella rich for having a mansion like that!

This dollhouse is amazingly beautiful I love it cuz it has a basement and a garage it looks like a real house on the inside especially the garage with all the stuff in it that's what the garage would look like in the basement would be something like that too in that washing machine is cute I used to have one like that in real life when my kids are small they're older now my mom had one like it also exactly it needs the rinse bucket that goes with it it's square and it's on legs like that too that the height of the washing machine because I used to have something like that I just didn't like getting my haircut in it cuz of my hair was so long at the time it hurt it but I used to get my hair out quick when I smack the release button on it but thanks for sharing that with us it's a beautiful house
This is a amazing house, bravo! I absolutely love it
