    I've had Dreadlocks since late 80s. Johnson's baby shampoo is brilliant. I don't condition. But thats me. 👊🏾🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

    Herbal rinses, steaming, and hot oil treatments can be used in replacement of conditioner

    Thanks for sharing. I use peppermint oil, tea tree oil, almond oil, and jojoba oil mixture. Your hair is beautiful and healthy.

    I totally relate on everything you said about your heater lol. Even the "it feels like a sauna" comment that people give.

    I'm allergic to Argon oil. I found that out when I was a loose natural. My scalp and forehead were on 🔥!

      Do you know how argon oil is made? Lol...I'll always be allergic to that process. Do you have a peanut or any other nut allergy? That may be why.

    to keep me from going without a wash longer I'd Put coconut oil on my scalp and then after a few days if its too itchy and dry I'd jump in the shower and acv. its kinda like a cowash

    I love the video. But as to products like Pantene and Tresemme, I would say try and support black-owned businesses whose hair products will work for you. Pantene and Tresemme are not dependent upon black support but black -owned hair care companies are dependent on black support.

    Me it's been almost 2 years that I have locs, lately I have been using dr bonner's castille soap. Before needed to shampoo twice with that just once. I used the lavender one

    can I use a mineral oil base on my hair? Sadly oils cant touch my face or scalp. I will break out in dandruff on my face and scalp and then I end up getting nasty pimples.

    Can these tips apply for people who are in college? I won't have time to get retwists each month. Due to the fact that I will be hours away from my hometown. Any other suggestions to keep locs nice while in college? Thank you!❤

    • @JOSETTEBIANCA
      @JOSETTEBIANCA  6 років тому

      Dayna Ashley Most of my tips will definitely apply to you and others in college. For retwisting, I would recommend learning how to retwist your own locs either with your fingers or the interlocking tool. I have a video on my channel on interlocking and retwisting. It’s a lot easier than it may seem and will save you lots of money. Maintaining a good loc routine apart from retwisting will definitely keep your locs shiny and soft ☺️

    thanks for the tips! btw, i love the layers your hair has now at this length. also, how long did it take for those curls to drop the way the did in that clip?

    • @JOSETTEBIANCA
      @JOSETTEBIANCA  6 років тому

      Jess Thank you! It took two weeks. Most nights I wore my hair up in a bun, that probably helped to preserve the curls.

    Hi, i recently trimmed my locs too. Do you braid the ends to stop unraveling as well?

    • @JOSETTEBIANCA
      @JOSETTEBIANCA  6 років тому

      Marilyn Wehl No, I don’t braid the ends. The most I’ll do is twist the ends with my fingers with a bit of oil. I mostly just let them be.

    hey great tips I've been locked for almost two years now and I still haven't used conditioner, I'm afraid that it'll cause build up. when in your loc journey did you start using conditioner?

    • @JOSETTEBIANCA
      @JOSETTEBIANCA  6 років тому +2

      Nappy Beauty2016 I started using conditioner after my locs we’re fully locked, so about a year ☺️. Conditioner shouldn’t cause buildup if it’s washed out properly.

    Your hair is so beautiful and I love your awesome tips. I’ve had my sisterlocks for almost 3 months so I’m just starting to see small changes in my hair. The sisterlock starter shampoo wasn’t giving my hair a really good cleanse, so my loctician recommended Pravana Nevo Detox Clarifying Shampoo. Have you or your mom ever used this product? If so, what are your thoughts on this product?

    I have very long locs
    Its very very hard to maintain
    It drys out very fast it gets thin faster from frequent twisting
    Hairline damage from heavy locs i wish i had normal hair i love my locs but its so hard to maintain

    • @JOSETTEBIANCA
      @JOSETTEBIANCA  6 років тому +1

      kady's vlogs Try trimming a couple inches off of your locs and limit retwisting to every 6-8 weeks

    • @kadeshaglean4179
      @kadeshaglean4179 6 років тому

      locsoflove i did trim it grows so fast and i go out often ppl so judgemental where i live so its hard to not do my hair😭 im afraid to go to short

    • @JOSETTEBIANCA
      @JOSETTEBIANCA  6 років тому +2

      kady's vlogs I see, well since my pregnancy my hair has been growing really fast and headbands have been my best friend to cover my unretwisted edges lol. Short locs are much easier to manage and it will grow back., but I personally can’t wait for my locs to grow longer again ☺️
