My OCD v2 has been on my pedal board since I bought it new. I think it's the oldest pedal on my board. I use it as a boost on my single coil guitars with a little extra treble for leads. I will use it at times as my main overdrive also. Fulltone was a great company.
This pedal is really great when using a 18v, did not know it could until i saw a review about it online. It comes so much more alive than it already was, such a great pedal!
Thanks Shane. I have a couple Warm Audio pedals, a Klon clone and a Zen drive clone that I really like and was wondering how close this one was to the original. Your review was comprehensive enough for me to get a great idea of what the ODD would be like. Keep up the good work!
Nice! Sounds great. I have 2 OCD’s, v1.6 and v2. They sound slightly different from each other. Something special in those pedals so it’s great that warm have made them available to more people.
But have they made them available? This pedal sounds brighter (OCDs are inherently on the darker side) and the WA doesn't have the same amount of gain. I can't hear the similarity myself and the price is close to what you can get a real OCD used one for. Just MO.
@@MoreMeRecordinghardly ever see used OCD’s for sale here in NZ so these warm pedals are easier to get. Yep, it’s a little brighter, especially compared to my 1.6 but the v2 is similar imo.
Nice review and playing Shane, good work. I would probably just get a used original from Fulltone at the price. I have a few of Mike's pedals, all Fuzzes and their great! Hold their value too. The 69 is a killer fuzzface btw.
I am just happy that one day I got a random $100 off coupon to Guitar Center and I got a brand new OCD for like nothing (probably less than $10) before they got discontinued :)
When the gain cranked all the way with HB does it get flubby like an OCD. I got a clone when they were discontinued and I noticed it sounded awesome at lower gain but got pretty unusable pass 3 for me.
Hello ..great videos! One question. I have the blues deluxe reissue fender amp. I also have TELE 52 REISSUE AND an sg gibson p90 PUs. My question is regarding lowering the 40 Watts power of the amp I am considering to replace the 6l6 tubes with adaptors and EL84 so as the power become 14 to 18 Watts. A. Will the sound be changed? I mean will this affective whole style and sound of this excellent fender amp or will it just lower the power to more home friendly levels? B. Have tried in The past similar changes? What your experience say? I appreciate your help Paul from Athens Greece
Hey dude. How can I get one of these. I’m out of cash but I want to get my brother one for Christmas. I’m barely getting his guitar together and it almost has strings.
thanks - i avoid all pedals that have side mounted jacks. And I also avoid all pedals that only have a sweep tone knob instead of isolated low and high knobs! Great sounding but I find those basic things separate the good from the best...

@@intheblues I'm only asking because I don't know how close to edge-of-breakup the amp is set or where the volume knob is set on the guitar. Drives are frequently used to push the amp into its own breakup at which point it's hard to tell what the pedal sounds like all by itself. Sorry if that was a dumb question.

Mike Fuller is producing the OCD V1 in his new factory in Nashville. He never abandoned the brand or trademarks. I'd wager he's already sent a cease and desist, as he should. Warm Audio makes overpriced clones, made in China. What they do is low rent and cheesy. It's going to be hilarious when they lose this court battle. I really don't get the niche they're going for. It's expensive for a made in china clone, with competition being 50-75% less, and it's barely cheaper than the real pedal, that is still in production. Anyone purchasing a Warm Audio product is morally bankrupt. They're bottom feeders who have never had an original idea.
Interesting! When I searched for Fulltone as a business I found this "Fulltone closed down its outlet in California in 2022" along with confirmed sale of the commercial residence.
I'll believe it when i see it, when/if Fulltone starts manufacturing again Mike could try and take Warm Audio for a breach of trade dress, but not before 😉

The UK and US switch is what makes this pedal special. I think I might try it.

Shane, love this pedal and I just ordered one. Thx for the review and your playing sounds great as always. Cheers!

What a cracker this pedal is! (The things you have to go through for a thumbnail!) Great demo, Shane. The UK setting rules!
Great review Shane as always.
Best demo I’ve heard for this pedal, you’re the man Shane
Thanks mate I appreciate the kind words 😀
Looks like a good one, thanks Shane.
Great vid!!! I love overdrive pedals that are easy to dial in quickly and this seems to fit the bill. Thanks Shane!🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸
Thanks for the support, Scott.
The EHX Glove, which has been produced for years, is a good OCD type pedal.
Great review and demo. I don't know if it sounds like an original OCD but its got great tones to work with.
well, that's another one I need to pay for, another pedal to buy according to Shane !
Definitely on my wish list!
Yeah, that was awesome. Great pedal
Thanks! It was a lot of fun recording this one. :)
Good video Shane…☝️thank you for the run thru 👏
Sounds good to my ear mate ! Have a good one !
How would you describe the compression vs the OCD or other popular OD's? Great review as always Shane.
Hello, From the StateS 🇺🇸
Thanks For Sharing 🎸🎶 ✌
FUN FACT: This ODD is based on version 1.4 of the OCD. My Les Paul just proposed to this pedal after only 1 day of dating.

In these sound samples, how much breakup is coming from the amp tubes vs the actual pedal itself?
