- This rare video was shot at the Athletic Club at Illinois Center (Chicago, IL) on January 4, 1994. The video aired on SportsChannel Chicago the following night on January 5, 1994. The video was shot while Michael Jordan was retired from basketball and it was one month before he started playing baseball.

He wouldn’t of been able to do ANYTHING like this. There would literally be THOUSANDS of fans showing up. He was the biggest star in the US at the time and he was semi retired.
Jordan hadn’t played in like 6 months. A lot of these guys were probably there everyday. Dude was in phenomenal shape. No one had tattoos.
you can really see his passion for the game. he basically low key popped up in a gym filled with normal people simply because he wants to play.
Not true. He held this camp for all these rich and powerful men. They each paid like 10 thousand to be there and play against jordan. Look it up.
@@ssherrierable Nope, this wasnt it. He had camps for those professionals but this one, he basically went to a local sports center hooped. This story is old news, popped up a decade ago.

He was retired that time and had no active contracts in the NBA. If he was active, we would not have seen this footage as the contract would prohibit him to.
Not true. Jordan had a 24/7 contract which allowed him to play basketball anywhere at any time.
He created the “For the love of the game” contract clause cause Jordan loves just showing up in random places and play pick up with average joes
